It's simply because PRO battles have custom settings which allow for much faster fund growth and therefore much higher rewards. Some people organise "wasp-fire" format battles, which are basically a legal exploit of game features, which allows players to "grind" battle funds and get rewards much faster than in normal battles without breaking any rules. Even if we don't take those battles into account, there are still XP/BP format battles, a lot of which are also created with pretty much the sole purpose of grinding battle funds, due to the increased rate of deaths on those battles. So while some PRO battles are fair games that focus on skill-dependent gameplay, things like Polygon CP XP/BP give players a massive advantage during double fund events, therefore developers had to exclude PRO battles from such events in order to balance the game's economy. If PRO battles were included, then such events would happen much more rarely and we would never get 9 days of non-stop double funds. If you would like to discuss this further or have any more questions, feel free to PM me or post in the Q&A topic. Closed.

Correct. Please use that existing topic to share nicknames of your alternate accounts. Closed.

Thanks, will change them asap. I get those two confused :p

I like the fact that CTF is now limited to just 5 flags. That's a very sensible change. It's rare that the score reaches 5 flags without one team completely dominating the other, so this will help end badly balanced battles.

The administration in Tanki takes the issue of power abuse very seriously, so the ability to issue bans is never given out to those, who can't be trusted with it. The only players with the ability to ban others are chat and battle moderators. All members in both of those groups underwent a strict application process, very thorough background checks and months of vigorous training before they were actually entrusted with the ability to punish others. And even then, every ban has evidence collected for it, so if a moderator was to abuse their power and ban an innocent player, it would be easily found out due to lack of proof of violation. The requirements for moderators are very strict. Minimum 18 years of age, a lot of experience in the game, very clean, near-perfect karma and many other hidden criteria. So don't worry, random players in battles can accuse you as much as they want, but no matter how many times they report you, the real people with power, who check the reports, will never ban someone without 100% proof of violation.

But... that's also what the news topic is for

You can view the updated mission chain rewards under a spoiler on this page: https://en.tankiwiki.com/Missions

That's a good thing, because otherwise you would get a smaller reward if you completed it tomorrow.

Rewards for mass-testing? I think that's a first for tanki :P

I still agree with lukey here. Before 2012, 50% sales were literally unheard of. Then the sales were happening maybe 2-3 times a year. Nowadays they happen at least 4 times a year, with additional ones thrown in during other celebrations, some of them also being 50%. So overall there's no decline in number of sales whatsoever.
-
That is a very odd opinion. The only thing I don't like about having so many sales is that I can't help but think that they are like "closing down" sales, where a store tries to sell as much stuff as possible to get some final profits before shutting down, kinda like what Toys-R-Us is doing now. Even though Tanki is actually still doing well and is far from shutting down, such generosity on behalf of devs is somewhat concerning...

Shhhh, you basically live inside tanki servers -_-

valid New ability to mark points of alert for teammates

Doesn't seem particularly useful. I feel like if someone on my team was pointing a laser at an object or enemy player without saying anything, I'd have no idea what they mean. -
If devs will ever add the M0 alterations they promised, then your idea will no longer be relevant since players will buy the shot colour they want, rather than having one given to them when upgrading the item.

Pretty sure the mission you described is impossible. 1000 EXP missions always give good rewards. But I agree, some of them do seem a bit disappointing...

Well, before that I was on the Russian forum, but then I realised that since I speak English, why don't I join the EN community, which is smaller and more "cozy"? :D

Actually I started actively posting on the English forum only around late August 2014.

I don't know, perhaps it could be balanced... I'm just skeptical about a system that requires players to spend crystals in order to then get even more crystals. For example, if a 10 million donation gives all clan members +100% battle rewards forever, then developers may get some short term revenue from people buying the 10 million crys, but later on they will get less because these players will no longer need to buy crystals because they'll be getting tons from their clan bonus. Also, what about abuse of the system where the clan leader encourages everyone to donate and then kicks members out to keep the bonus for himself? Doesn't seem fair.
-
So clan members donate their crystals into the clan in order to buy clan upgrades that all members benefit from? Sounds interesting, but I feel like it would break the economy if the upgrades can be bought with crystals.

Don't really see the point to be honest. It's not like you need to follow speed limits...
