This should be a happy place but you're sewing discord with angry replies like this one. I wrote a reply like this once and got a warning point for it although I didn't show any anger in it. Did you realise you're supposed to be setting examples on behaviour?

Episode 108 of the V-LOG is here

You had to remove the 1500 supplies pack from the garage because: "the discount on the supply pack was simply too high" So this is what you had to go through with; Previously, if someone wanted to buy a 1500 supplies kit in the garage, it would have cost them 105,000 crystals. Now, they have to buy 15 x 100 supplies kits, costing them now 262,500 - which is a whopping 150% increase on the original price! But, if you buy them with cash, i.e. €13.99, you're basically getting them for the crystal equivalent of 45,000 crystals. This is about a 60% decrease on the original price which you say was already too heavily discounted! When you say, "as a result it affected the game economy negatively", what you really mean to say is you need to make more money from supplies. By making them really expensive in the garage and really cheap to buy for cash, you've made supplies more attractive to buyers and less attractive for free2play players.

It's good that you're letting players know about the changes in advance so they can plan ahead. Not much worse than buying making a purchase of something one week only to find it's a completely different item the next. The supplies issue is still ongoing and it will definitely favor buyers. Non-buyers will eventually exhaust their supplies and will be very reluctant to buy 100 supplies kits at a relatively inflated price compared to that of the 1500. When that time comes, they'll either buy, abstain or leave, either way they'll not be happy.

    Alterations, Kits and Supplies Kits!

I had an idea http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=275554&hl= to, "slow down the overall usages of supplies", but I was mocked by Hazel and several staff members. This idea is still far better than what was just forced on us. When are you lot in tanki going to listen to your players instead of continuously doing the wrong thing for wrong reasons. Somebody should reopen that topic given this recent update.

No offense but what a complete pile of bovine excrement that is! That has to be the most lame excuse ever. I know it's hard but you need to be more creative and inventive than that. We all know the reason why so please quit the facade. If you ever wondered why Tanki is losing credibility with players then just look again at that one sentence. It's all about getting players to buy them for cash instead because the price has been slashed from 105,000 crystals to the cash equivalent of 45,000 crystals. Cedric, you know perfectly well that nobody will buy 15x 100 kits at the hugely inflated cost of 262,500. You know precisely why this was done and it is all about money. If tanki were seriously worried about the over consumption of supplies then they'd do away with the 1500 kit altogether and make 100 kits available in both the garage and the shop, pricing them the same. But most players who have spare money in their pockets won't think twice about using their credit cards whereas non-buyers will probably end up leaving the game shortly after their supplies are exhausted. A couple of years ago we saw 120k players at peak times for Halloween. At this rate we'd be lucky to see 50k.

[Issue 56] Behind the Tank: RustyNail

I've agreed and disagreed with you on many occasions. While I disagree with you about the way the game should be played, (you want fun while I want fun+competitiveness), we agree that the balance could be made better. There are a variety of reasons why this is so and I've suggested on many occasions ideas and solutions to fairly redress this balance, some of which were met with scorn and derision from Tanki devs, staff and helpers alike. I no longer suggest any because it was a waste of time. Free to play but pay to win This week tanki have took a step backwards again, by selling 1500 supply kits in the shop for money to all ranks (not just generalissimo), at the equivalent crystal price of 45k. By removing the 1500 kit from the garage, players who don't make cash purchases can buy 15 x 100 supplies kits instead, costing them a lot more than 45k crystals, (262,500) to be exact. This advantage is only available to buyers and goes against tanki's biggest promise. The least Tanki should do here is reintroduce the 1500 kit to the garage and price it the same as in the shop, ie, 45k. Tanki need to make money but they shouldn't be sneaky about it. They know that making a 1500 supplies kit $20 for all ranks will lead to more spending. Players on the receiving end of those drugs will either leave or spend themselves. So to recap; Tanki should reintroduce the 1500 supply kit to the garage. Make the price 45k crytals (equivalent cash price in the shop). Make it available after a free to play player has had a chance to accumulate enough crystals to buy it, level 10 for example. Many of those points by that poster in the link were refuted by me and others. What caused your friend to stop posting?

[Issue 56] Behind the Tank: RustyNail

In my experience you can put mult related sabotage into at least 4 main categories. Intentional mults are rare. That is to say someone using another account on the side they want to lose, operating the player every so often to avoid disconnection through inactivity. Then we have those that unintentionally mult. They are the ones that take up space because they were disconnected or didn't logoff correctly. How many times have you witnessed a dozen or so 'zero scores' on the scoreboard 4 minutes after a battle restart? There are players who are friends of clans or other players in a battle who deliberately join the opposite side to take the space of someone who will try harder than they intend to do. These players are commonplace. They score the occasional points and deliberately take supply drops with no intention of using them, repair kits also when their hp is 100%. Their main job is contribute enough to avoid a ban but also to ensure the side they're on loses. The opposite is also true. If someone doesn't like you, they can join your side to do the exact same thing. (I successfully reported one of Rustynail's friends for this, who shall remain nameless, and Rusty hasn't forgiven me since. That account hasn't been used since, such was the embarrassment.) Then there are those who are entitled to play on your side but have no competitiveness. These players do not care about the result. There are many subcategories of mult-like player. Here are a few just of the top of my head. 1. Playing Parkour. 2. Players spoiling your battle to collect 7 Double Armors for a mission then leaving (etc). 3. Players who just care about D/L and not the result. 4. Those who have supplies but won't use them, especially in the face of a drugging enemy. 5. Cannon fodder players who are woefully under-equipped who enter a battle inappropriately and inconsiderately. These are the players with extremely below average d/l's and extremely below average scores. We can debate all day on the technicalities of what is and what is not a mult but the word has been used rightly or wrongly for years now, to describe all of the above and has been synonymously ingrained into tanki's lexicon and culture.

    Alterations, Kits and Supplies Kits!

The 1500 kit is available in the shop for $19.99 If you were to spend the same amount on crystals you get 45k in return. This means that buyers are getting the 1500 kit for 45,000 crystals whereas before it was 105,000. If you're not a buyer, you can save your in game crystals and buy the 100 kit 15 times, it will only cost you 262,500 crystals! Good luck with that! btw, buyers in Russia can get this 1500 kit for $8.50 (549 Rubles) This move supports pay2win and advantage can now be bought in the shop which goes against tanki's biggest promise. How do you justify this now Cederic?

    Alterations, Kits and Supplies Kits!

Granted. I was making a point about 'advantage' being only accessible from the shop. I have no problem with players buying their way to the top if f2p players can get the same opportunities for the same crystal prices. Whether it is harder for players to replenish their supply stocks is irrelevant to tanki.

    Alterations, Kits and Supplies Kits!

Current prices: 100 supplies kit - 17.5k 1500 supplies kit - 105k As the 1500 supplies kit is vanishing from the garage, we could buy them using the 100 supplies kits instead. 15 x 100 supplies kits - 262.5k Time will tell if buyers will benefit from the same discounts as before and if they do get a similar discount then the gap between buyers and f2p players will widen still. If the 1500 supplies kit in the shop costs the equivalent of purchasing 262.5k crystals then there will be no advantage for buyers. But something tells me it won't cost anywhere near that and I'm guessing buyers will have an advantage over non-buyers, a mechanism which goes against Tanki Online's biggest promise. What's that smell?

    Paint Separation Update

See this post. http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=329164&p=5662043 We only have 1/3rd of all combinations possible available to us. I counted! Having a mechanism that would allow a player to customise new and existing protection modules would keep garages tidy and minimal. Producing a build-your-own module system is really not that difficult and I'm sure players would love it. Tanki have made a complete mess of this update and I stand by what I said about being the worst update ever.
  16. I see no complaining!

Episode 102 of the V-LOG is here

Yes, I agree. If you took a look at this topic http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=275554 entitled 'Slow down druggers' xp and in-game pts' Even though I don't mind heavy supply use, (I can drug with the best of them), I listened to the constant complaints from those who are on the receiving end of mindless supply use and came up with a practical solution that is fair to all including tanki. It was an idea that would reduce attrition too with little or no impact on tanki. It was polite and well thought out and logically structured. But you see how I got treated in that topic by mods and Hazel. If you wonder why players talk angrily sometimes, it's possibly because the kindly softly approach fell on deaf ears or was treated derision and ridicule. Do yourself a favour and read the responses I got and come back to me and say those responses were fare, kind and polite. After all was said and done, they still didn't understand the suggestion or realise what I wanted to achieve. Even if the idea did not fall in line with tanki's development plans, is that any way to speak to someone that tried so hard on behalf of other players? I ask you! If you get to the end of page 2 and are asking yourself what the big deal is, don't bother replying here either.

Thanks. When an update is announced, I try to think about what it means for all players including the future of tanki online. I take into account of how tanki have handled similar updates, processes and procedures etc. So when I come in here and write something, know that I've thought about it first from many angles. I also try and back up what I write with useful facts and figures when I can. I won't always get things right but I'm generally on the right track. I know that Hazel, Cedric and a few mods don't like me much and that's fine. I'm certainly old enough and ugly enough to take some of their flack on behalf of others who are less likely to speak-up. Sure it's 'their' game and they reserve the right to take it any direction they so wish but our job here is not just to praise everything they do, it's also to highlight what they've done wrong or what they're about to do wrong. If we don't resist in these times then we apply no pressure which makes our voices and this forum meaningless. More like, 1. Tanki announce 2. Players object 3. eula 4. Leave or get on with it 5. Rinse and repeat.

I never suggested it should be fail safe protection. I never suggested resistance modules were there to protect me against all scenarios. (This would be silly) Strategic is good. I never said it wasn't. It's never a bad thing to put choices in front of players, again, I never suggested otherwise. If we get to choose 3 resistances to face 13 different turrets then that means we can only ever protect ourselves from less than ¼ of the turrets available. Where is the incentive to buy a module? We might as well be using a zero protection module for 10 of 13 turrets at any given time. You might as well scrap modules altogether because there is little strategic value in a 3 way module, not to mention singles or doubles. All I am saying is if you do not do this in the right way and the correct order, you run the risk of alienating players further. Tanki have a history of getting the order wrong and have been accused many times by many different players of maximising revenue in the short-term at the expense of long term player satisfaction. Well make sure it's not doom and gloom then. Nothing would make me happier than to be proven wrong.
