Episode 178 of the V-LOG is live!

Keep your 10 container promo code. Nothing on Earth could get me to try Tanki X. Nothing!
  2. This is the one I play with. It's the SA version (standalone) When you run it, it looks like this You then have to put the game address in File > Open > Location, like this http://tankionline.com/AlternativaLoader.swf?config=c1.tankionline.com/config.xml&resources=s.tankionline.com&lang=en&locale=en (copy link location if abbreviated) Once the address is in, it stays there. Somebody made a helpful youtube video, here. So after what you have wrote, I'm not sure this will solve your issue but I'm also sure that it's not due to MatchMaking. There are lags in the game but I'm not reading many complaints lately of high pings. Have you tried to see if the problem is there just after server restart? It should be even quieter then and you could eliminate server load. I had a similar issue a little while back and I too posted looking for suggestions and didn't really get any answers. It was WinMtr that made me talk to my internet provider. It seemed to me that there was a couple of issues for my situation. One issue was I was getting loss just to my router. Here is what it looks like now. Ideally, it should have 0% loss and during my problem it was sporadic, especially during peak times. Another issue was I was experiencing loss in certain parts of the route. It helped to have a friend who also used my ISP and I could see their tracert results to see the route they were using. I expected them to use a similar route but they took a different path and had no problems. Eventually, I asked my ISP to come out and look at my connection. I had screenshots of various tests and while he couldn't find anything wrong with it, I convinced him to change the router, and in turn, that gave me another IP address which strangely also changed the internet route to tanki's servers. The main problem I had disappeared and I went back to some normality. You could eliminate your internet/computer if you have access to another pc/laptop. Have you changed anything lately, eg anti-virus software. These things have a habit of blocking things you don't want them to block. I've never tried this suggestion but try starting your pc in safe-mode, (might have to google how to do that), then running the game and see what your pings are then. The graphics might be a bit messed up in safe-mode but you'll be able to see your ping has improved any. If it does then it's probably software related. There are lots not playing now. My clan went down to 3 regular players so I had to disband it because I didn't want to be in a clan where players, due to the constant updates and changes, have lost the will to play regularly anymore. It's not just us, I maintain a list of 500+ players for the druggers topic. My script filters out anyone who hasn't played for 10 days or more so they don't make the topic spoilers. I'm not talking about banned players either. This list is getting bigger and bigger every day. Hope you get to the bottom of your problem and I'll be glad to test things with you if you like. AZ
  3. This may also be of use, WinMTR http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=219442 Also, you can have a look at Resource Monitor in windows. (Windows key + R, Resmon) This gives me the ip address of the server and any lag. Then there is thinkbroadband This continuously checkout your internet and plots it

If you make any of the spoilers then your stats will be updated on the next check!
  6. It's okay to delete the macromedia folder. It comes back again.
  7. You can clear the appdata like this Hit your windows key + R and you should get a run box up type %appdata% in it like this Look for the folder called Macromedia and delete it. This will remove all settings for the game. I use standalone flash player 11.4.402.278 Have you tried removing all your cables to your router and switching it off for a minute? Are you wireless or hard-wired. If wireless, try connecting with a cable. Do you have any other software running, downloading/uploading eg torrents Try shutting down unnecessary processes using Task Manager Have you tried using speedtest.net for ping and jitter values Failing that, try a different router if you can.

For a time, I provided 'supplies per hour' stats and I was using the above figure in the ratings pages. I can no longer do this because the number displayed is not accurate since XT's were removed. When the XT's were deleted, 'Time In Game' stats for them also went. This means I have no idea how long a player has actually played for. The figure in the picture for the player above used to be around 2600 hrs. Now it is closer to 2100. They buy kits in the $hop or buy thousands of mines in sales for use in parkour. These players then use 3rd party software to press supply keys repeatedly for hours on end. Some players can use many thousands of supplies in a day.

What do you do during the MM waiting time?

    I go backpacking around Europe
  10. Everyone has access to an adequate number of supplies if they intend to play for a short time each day. Then there are those who can stay on for as long as they like who can use supplies like there is no tomorrow and still never run out. I don't believe we can put this term to bed just yet. What choices does a non-buying, new player have when they join? Hulls, turrets, protection modules, drones, micro-upgrades, batteries, supplies, premium... There is no way they can compete at a similar level to buyers, even if they stick to just one combination. So while this divide exists, the word 'buyer' will always come with negative connotations. Existing players that start new accounts and then proceed to buy all of the above are not really Griefers are they. These are people who don't like the pointy end of this game at legend level because m4's are common place and it's not always easy to win. Their satisfaction comes from keeping their k/d's high, from getting most of the battlefund and from winning all the time - this is the buzz for them. I don't think they do this just to upset newbies, they do it because they have limitations, because they don't like getting beat and it makes them feel superior or important. They'll achieve Marshall or something around that rank and then start the process all over again, remembering to link any new accounts to their main. I think the terms druggers and buyers will be around for a while but the playing field can be levelled a bit further. For a start, repair kits should be the same price as the other supplies and they should be made equally available in containers and missions as the other supplies. It's short-sighted to use income or game balance excuses for not doing this.

    The removal of gifts issue

I was calm. You were clearly angry and trying to defend wrong-doing. My words are what I want to say. I'm not going to say something I don't mean. If you read them as angry then that is your choice. I'm not going to flower things up just because you're emotional.

How many batteries do you have?

Trooper and Assault fully micro upgraded too. (last step cooking) Got no appetite for this game lately. Too many bad decisions, too many bugs, so much lag, mults in pro battles everywhere, mission mults in standard, ten a penny. I'll play if I get bored of minesweeper.

    The removal of gifts issue

Ahhh! The old, 'The never force anyone to', strawman. You know you've lost the argument when you resort to it don't you. Contempt, plain and simple. You might as well spit in our faces to use a Semyon Kirov quote. Nobody is arguing about being forced to buy anything. Btw, you spelt spend wrong. Sales on them is relevant. Not only were gifts available to buy, we're encouraged to buy them in the vlogs and when they're on sale. And if this is your argument then why not extend it to paints too because there is absolutely no difference between the importance of gifts and the importance of paints. No wonder everyone is leaving.

    The removal of gifts issue

They'll have backups for a time. Can they be bothered to retrieve and restore the more expensive gifts that players have purchased or have been given. Can they be bothered to re-write the removal program. Tanki will continue to ride roughshod over its players and they'll become more dictatorial the less we complain about controversial decisions. It's every player's right to complain, duty even. At the very least, convert them to batteries or supplies or something!

    The removal of gifts issue

Did they have to remove blue spheres before badges though? A little bit of thought and care was called for when writing the removal program. Players spent 50-100k each on those things. If they cared, they'd amend it asap. Guess it's staying as it is then.

    Paints have 0 value nowadays

They have a right to do but is it right? Putting so-called one-time-only paints into containers, eg moonwalker or Eternity, reduced the value of them. Players purchased them at the time so they could say, 'I was there'. But backtracking on past one-time-only decisions sets a precedent. Nobody can trust anything Tanki say. It's just another example which we can add to the ever growing list of things they've done to undermine confidence.

It's above average but there are bigger users. I'm unable to provide 'drugs per hour' stats at the moment because the 'hours in the game' figure on ratings pages are not reliable since xt's were removed.

Little things called pride & honesty get in the way. Not just those things, why play if you're gonna cheat. It's like playing yourself at chess. There are some clans I see and would respect if they simply didn't use mults. There are plenty of strong excellent players but they let themselves down cheating. I see their clan names pop up, then I see 3 commanders join my side, who then stay on 0 pts for the next 4 minutes 58 seconds. We lose because it's 13 vs 7 and then they go slap eachother on the back in chat for 30 minutes, bigging themselves up. All they did is beat themselves at chess. To me, that's like a player saying, I don't like to use z & x because I don't think it's fair. You'd stand a chance if the 'Time In Game' value was fixed by devs. I'd like to put the Supplies Per Hour values back but can't until they correct it.

My focus was on the other 2 drones, spent all my crystals on those (both will be maxed out soon) but Engineer is 6 out of 20. Any crystals I earn will go to that now as nothing else to get. Most of the players in the clan have lost the desire to play these days, me too to a certain extent, due to the constant changes that nobody asked for and all the bugs. 3 spots for a group in standard battles means we can't play together there. We're fed up of being sabotaged with mults in Pro battles and they know we don't mult back. I don't understand why players don't use supplies if they have them. It's like going to dinner but just only getting gravy. Everybody else eats. On a side note, I sent a pm about the incorrect 'Time In Game' value on the ratings pages. He said he'd look at it and pass it on.

My Trooper Drone is maxed out (minus 20 day wait for last mu). This means I have 15 seconds of full supplies for each battery. I got 74000 of them after the conversion. Assault drone nearly there too. Nothing else to spend crystals on now.

15-20 per hour for each supply is average I would have thought.
