After some weeks (!) dealing with the same issue of supplies usage I have to confess that my initial position was based on limited data. So, here are some "fresh" thoughts. 1. Dear Generalissimos, I do understand that for you, drugging is one of the few things left to give you an extra bit of joy in play. Even more, since you don't have to save crystalls for buying new items (hulls and turrets), thus all your earnings can naturally go to supplies shoping. Point taken. 2. However, the "solution" you often give, which is "get a PRO-PASS and play without drugs" is not that simple to either lower ranks or low income players due to easily understood financial reasons. In fact, it would be much more easy for you (generalissimos) to get such a pass for a full drug battle. (this is a proposition for TO Devs). 3. Certainly, not all addicted druggers are noobs, as well as not all non-druggers are noobs. Constant use of drugs is not a matter of skill (or luck of it) but a matter of COST. I explain; As you can see the supplies cost is not really the same for everyone (Same with the PRO-PASS cost). Obviouslly, TO Developers have thought of that and this is the reason why they came with the "cool-down solution". So that most tanki players can find a way to enjoy the game regardless of what they can afford to buy. 4. Here is another factor that makes double armor and double power short of canceling each other; Still, health and mines are somehow different. One end of free use would ruin the game because all maps would become minefields or/and nobody dies if health is constantly an option. On the other end, of very rare use, the whole idea of supplies is ruined. So, need for a well ballanced status is obvious, to everyone's interest. 5. Conclusion. Based on all the above, it is obvious to me that solving the problem includes a ballanced way of minimizing drugging time in-battle (especially DA and DP), thus "cool down solution" is a step in the right direction. But it is not enough. Other aspects or changes must be considered as well. For example, a full drugging mode for generalissimos (or Field marshalls, Commanders and Generalissimos). Or, making PRO BATTLES more common (that is, LESS EXPENCIVE). I hope all this tiresome text can help us a little bit in better understanding each other's needs and in-game reality in regard to the drug issue.

I love thunder and I dislike smoky. But, I'm afraid that for an aggresive player like me, smoky would be more useful... Pity.. :huh: -
I like the idea though there are some issues... Would have to add xp points like isida's healing, since it cannot actually kill the opponent. For the same reason, it would be valuable in team battles but what good would it be to the person who uses it? There need to be a way to produce crystals for the owner too...

Hey guys, two questions; 1st. Do we get to know what combo do the devs use or we wait till the battle to find out? 2nd. Do the participant players have the oportunity to communicate before the battle and choose co-operatively their combos or each one chooses a combo and finds out at the battle what are the rest combos? I would kindly ask for a responsible answer please... thank you.

@ Mr.SV.ENS and DidYouKnowThat C'mon guys, don't pretend not to have really read what I wrote... I didn't propose to eliminate drugs, I just said the only real option here is to minimize the time of use, making players go by without drugs for a certain percentage of the total battle duration. If each one has to stay "cool" for an amount of time equal to that of being drugged, there will be balance in the battle. Don't you agree?

I believe that this issue has only two solutions; one, elimination of drugs (which I consider a bad idea) and two, inability to use any drug for a certain amount of time after the use. It doesn't really matter if there will be restrain for all or just for the one used, the point is to let at least a same amount of time in inability of use. Say, you use a nitro, it lasts 45 seconds, after it ends you can't use nitro for another 45 - or even 60 - seconds. This way, even addicted druggers will have to play half the time without drugs! And thus the use of drugs will have to be under strategy instead of a blind 234. I think this solution is the most logical and fair for all, regular druggers, occasional druggers and non druggers.

It's a change of subject but I think it's not the paint that makes the accident but the hull / turret. I explain. An over-ranked paint could give you an extra - say 30% - of protection, that is a diminish of the shot's power by 30%. If this applies to an M2 or M3 hull, it's the hull that absorbs the shot and not the paint. If it were for an M1 hull, even a 30% wouldn't be that terrible.. I think. Thus I wrote (somewhere, I don't recall where) that kits should have hulls and turrets normal according to rank and only paints somehow over-ranked.

I'm glad it did because different use of drugs (that is, big currency differences) is a problem and requires a solution that makes all; druggers, non druggers and TO happy. To me, as an occasional drugger, solution means that I enter battles and confront other occasional druggers like me and not constant druggers like the ones mentioned before. Having made my point, I thank you and wish you happy battles! :)

No offence meant. I am calm and I am sorry if I gave another impression. But it's not possible - naturally possible - for people that drug all the time to play in the same battles with others that use drugs occasionally. Maybe it could be arranged special battles for continoues use of druggs..

Well, how about making a server just for the arab billionaires and leave the rest of us enjoy the game? Because what you say is - more or less - let the arabs buy the game and use all non druggers as sitting ducks... it's better not to say what I think about it... :angry:

@ Hazel-Rah Since you mentioned it, I have a question for you (and of cource for TO Devs). Is it possible for a player to be seriously interested in tanki, to be planning a long term participation in cybersports and even contributing in expanding a local TO community, without becoming s heavy duty donour? In other words, is it possible to have a deep and long relationship with TO without paying really lot of money? Or it is inevitable to pay hundreds of euros in order to enjoy tanki for years?

That's two good news in one single post! :) :) :) Thanks Hazel-Rah, you did understand and really made our point about drugs' overuse, as well as about the opportunity for someone to buy very early updated hulls and turrets, and overpower all other co-players. Can't wait for the changes to take effect! :)

MAYBE he was skilled. Maybe not. Me, give me 200 euros in diamonts and I can easily accomplish such scores. Or else, give me an M3 viking, an M3 isida and infinite drugs and I can go to that score easily. Sometimes, money can do for skill just fine. (that's why I get pissed on druggers.. better equipment, constant flow of drugs and less or same skill as me.. the result, I get killed all the time)

Thank God TO Devs got the message. It really was (is) very dissapointing using all the drugs all the time. No fun in it, since everybody is obliged to do so in order to stay in the game. As for the new rule that will be introduced in September, we 'll see how it goes. In theory it's ok, but we 'll see it in action as well.

Although, it might work if a 2X2 alliance would be obligatory, which is the same as if a team could divide and create an "internal" competition between its two sub-teams... Victory for the pair of teams, but fund division per team.

LOL Didn't expect to say that, but it seems you 're right. Co-operation between teams would create great unballance in the game. Pity, for it really is an intriguing idea.

Is ther any possibillity for TO developers to expand geografixally in southern Europe (1 or 2 servers) just like the brasilian ones, so that people from Balkans can play faster than nowadays? I' 'm asking this because it occures now and then often discontinuety and lagging, especially late at night. I play from Greece..

After the rearrange of turrets' properties, shaft became a very annoying weapon in a middle to large map with many players. Either on a heavy armored hull like mammoth from the other side of the map, or with high mobility hornet moving towards the cender areas and dealing damage both in sniper mode and in common mode. So, yea, it's a powerfull weapon. On the other hand, most players have certain preferances for certain turrets, so it makes sence that all turrets should have some pros against the others. In this case I think shaft became overpowered and a very disturbing opponnent. Because no matter how strong it is or may be in the future, I simply don't like it and will not use it. (I used to feel smoky as a very annoying opponent, but shaft clearly took its place ha ha ha!)
