Dude, no need for apologies, it was not you that judged the participating tutorials. You made a good try, of course it was well intended and yes, it required also time and thinking and effort, just like the others' who participated. Even the use of spectator is not your fault but the organizers' fault that didn't think of this. So, with you all is fair and square. No hard feelings, you can enjoy the prize without any guilt. Seriously. Consider yourself lucky that happened to come across the prize and let's move on. :) As for DarthvaderjonGTR and chullu, mentioning that their tutorials were really good is the least we can do to morally reward their participation, without any hate / rage / hostility towards you two (the winners)...

Boy.. this contest has a weird outcome. :blink: I watched all videos and frankly, I don't think goldrock / Marine' s is the best. I mean it's good, but certainly not special (apart from spectator's mode, which will be commented in a moment). Btw, Goldrock speaks a little too fast, and that's not very tutorial-like.. it's more starladder speaker-like ;) Being a staff member, however, is IMO indifferent for the contest. There are a few great videos, but outstanding is the tutorial DarthvaderjonGTR made, a real winner. Close enough is the video that chullu made, both guys gave hard work and inspiration to the contest. One of them should be the winner. :rolleyes: As for goldrock / Marine' s tutorial, I think it's not only not the best video but it is not valid as well. Using the spectator mode, a facility others don't have makes somehow the contest "unequal". No offence for these guys, I express my candid opinion, since I don't personally know any of the participants and I have nor friends, neither enemies among them. (and I hope I don't make any enemies because of my opinion lol) :) So, what really happened? Why the jury has come to this decision? I suspect because of the voice element. Maybe they didn't consider some voices authoritative enough... maybe. But what is one to expect in a contest for - mainly - young players?

As is clear by now, both maps are voted by at least some people. Of course, Cologne is ahead and, to be frank, that's my choise too. I prefer it over Edinburgh because the latter is a "tight" map with two main access points to enemy base and thus a good defence line makes any offence suicidal, while Cologne has "sidekick" options for stealing the flag and for speedy maneuvers (which I like alot) via the sideways. But canadarules' opinion in regard to Tanki history is respected and so a reasonable vote would be "both"... that is unless keeping both would be too much of a burden for Tanki servers to handle without problems. But I HAVEN'T VOTE YET. Because all the above are based on the previous battles I enjoyed in Cologne, before the smart cooldown and the minor changes of the map. So, it remains for me to test it again, BUT THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN UNTILL THE MU PERIOD IS OVER! Please, take into consideration that for M3 MU (without speed ups) all three days are required and what kind of test would it be when all prefered hulls and turrets are occupied in MUing? Thus, I would ask that this vote theme remains open at least untill 18 or 19 of November.

Very nice, indeed! Especially the railgun. But while you (TO) improve colours and shapes, druggers keep ruling making drugless game IMPOSSIBLE.

Dude, do me a favor: stop messing with me in relation to this topic. You purposely twist the meaning of my words. What I proposed has only one disadvantage according to TO, and that is that Tanki would require LESS drugs to be played. PERIOD. As for the term "kids" - a good example of twisting what I say - it means exactly this: kids = underaged people. Which is the vast majority in TO. And you might also stop calling arrogant people here, at least that much. Not all the opposition you meet is due to arrogance... I hope this will settle things between us, because you are not stupid, and many times you have a usefull perspective on things... just don't twist my words.

Unfortunately, I want the opposite of TO Administration. Less drugging time in battle. The answer to 234 is not this drug interaction but simply the increase of cooling period for each drug. No interactions, no restrictions, other than the initial increase of each drug's cooling period. Thus, even a player used to 234, would have to spend a period (after using the drugs) without them. Did he use 234? Then for a certain amount of time he can use no drug at all. Did he use only one or two? Then for this amount of time he can't use again this one or these two drugs. Simple. But kids don't think and they usually don't understand that, so the issue generally remains an issue of whether we play 234 or we play with "smart" cooldown... Pfff....

Dude, are you satisfied by your arguments? ... Probably, since you post them. I am not, though. First, you say they have to increase the drugs consumption because that's all they have to sell. Well, that's not true. When I tried this update in the testing server, I bought 2-3 tanks, 2-3 paints and I ended with three - if I 'm not mistaken - combos, fully MU... long story short, it costed more than 10 million crystalls. Ten million crystals! Do you know how much (real) money is that? A LOT! So, when someone becomes generalissimo and aquires pretty much everything there is in the garage, this person has already spend a certain amount of real money. Furthermore, this person keeps spending in buying drugs, that's something generalissimo druggers where shouting from the beggining. Conclusion: Gismo also costs money and is a serious income resource for TO. Second, I understand the wish to increase the drugs consumption, I would have the same wish if I was in their position. But I wouldn't enforce it via an obligatory drug interaction. Let them find another way to make drugs more appealing. You understand, making players use drugs in certain combinations or restriction is not the best way to make them more appealing. But please, let's not repeat everything over and over again. I 'm tired of this. Game is not (that) fun anymore, and I have stoped paying real money and will keep this untill they find a way to restore the fun and the freedom to use whatever I have as I see fit. Or, untill I get really bored and abandon TO altogether. (if you want to go on with this conversation, please feel free to do so, without me. Thank you)

My God, you're impossible! :unsure: Candies are a kind of "energy boost" for man. When one consumes a candy one gets an extra amount of energy to use, for a certain amount of time. When another one sells candies for a living and this one needs more money, this one raises the price of candies, rather than manipulating the customers into consuming more candies. If this one does the second (manipulating into consuming more candies) the customers can rightly accuse this one of being hypocrite and a lier. The reasonable, straight and honest attitude is the raise of the cost and whoever can pay can follow (which is the same about increasing the quantity consumed, so no reason to choose one over the other). Anything else is double talk. Is that clear enough? Or do I have to address adjectives to TO Administration?

Here I am. I started to collect posts to comment but I changed my mind, I have been complaining so much in regard to this issue that even I got tired... short of.. HOWEVER, stop abusing the terms "strategy", "skill" etc. Admitt (you know who) that all this was just so that drugs' use and sales increase, and strategy has nothing to do with that, but for being an excuse providing the alibi. TO should either eliminate the possibility for players to buy drugs or the amount of drugs used in a given battle time. This would solve the issues without further complications. Not even income rates would have to lessen if a certain raise would apply to drug cost. etc, etc, I have been saying this for weeks now... Have a good night :)

Nice entry, I thing it's the most suitable so far. (And maybe we have already met in battle, in Serpuhov, I remember a viking / thunder / prodigi..... if that was you, you're a good player too..)

You can't have bad news for me. You don't know me, you can't judge me in the game. If you say you can win drugged players, then either you play with noobs or you are a lier. I play with good players, I am a good player also. But what good is a good player against another good one who's been constantly drugging? No good at all. Furthermore, if you don't understand what "occasional drugger" means, then you can't talk with me about this issue. ps. When in the middle of an argument exchange I see one giving a downvote reputation, I do think one is a provokateur. So, have a nice evening, next time maybe we sould meet in battle and see who's who. And that's devoted to you, keep in mind I don't do drugs of my own, just whatever I get from dropboxes

I complain because before the update drugs was something one decided whether one wanted to use, how often and in what way / combination. Now, one HAS to use them, not whenever and however one chooses, but constantly and only in combinations pre chosen by TO. Not difficult to see my point, is it? The only place left for me in this otherwise good game is PRO Battles - and still it's not what I want to do in Tanki... And honestly I don't understand why TO Administration has to enforce the constant use of drugs....

I watched all the entries so far, and THEY'RE ALL AWSOME! Some are invalid, some are skilled, others not, but all of them have two things in common! First, they all use Thunder for its splash effect - nice adv for Thunder , thumb up! ;) and Second, what we see in ALL of these entries is that EVERYBODY is constantly on one, two or three drugs! Congrats TO, that was your answer to the drugging problem, making all of us druggers, right? For that's what it looks like... -_-

That exactly was my point, that they want us to explain - even if we don't do it actually - how useful the drugs are for increasing the performance (self-evident btw). In the mean time alot of players are going to spend hundreds of supplies trying to achieve this, and in the end TO will have made money AND somebody else done the job they ought to do... it reminds me the story of Tom Sawyer and the fence painting he had to do.. Seriously, if you guys (TO Administration) have it all so well thought and know that this update is so good how come you don't do it yourself? This tutorial is YOUR job. You can't do it or is it you want somebody else do your job?

I played grepolis and it's alot les money-demanting than TO. I say this not to advertize grepolis - there where reasons I left it - but to point that TO is not a non buyer oriented game....

I've been shouting and arguing about it even before the update took place... Thanks for understanding this.. apparently, most of the small age players haven't done the "maths" yet... strangely, neither administration... :D

So far, it seems all it's done is stoped people to 234 constantly, causing most of the players to drug constantly with 1 or 2 drugs, unballancing thus many players' game style. I wouldn't call it a big success... half solving a problem by creating another. True. And once those supplies finish, one can "go back" to being more weak OR start buying supplies... No thanks. I prefer to deside for myself when to buy supplies, but on the term I use them whenever and however I choose.

Bull****. Game stats show how many log in, they don't show how much they stay logged, or if they buy anything. Most of the people that complain will log in regularly for a while, to see what's going on. Like me. But that doesn't mean that I buy things (gismo or drugs), nore that I will keep logging for long. New players will come because most kids are so easily manipulated... But that's none of my bussiness, or yours. You like this stup_d update, fine. Just keep on playing.
