It's supposed to have splash I think, if that includes splash impact force it'll be possible to make Thunder Jumps with it lol... Also they are going to add splash to twins and rico, if rico will have splash impact force it will be interesting I think :D

    [F&F] Fight & Flight

lol yeah we improvized :P Anyway, our goal with this was to show creativity and create a good impression on the community, regardless of how much score we will get. That's the reason we were ready to risk it all with more complicated tricks ^_^ (though we weren't very prepared and didn't have anything impressive for 2nd trick, and decided on the 3rd trick 5 minutes before it was our turn to perform this trick in live stream)

Masters of Parkour 2016 Winners Announced!

So going back to my point, to prove this contest has a very big element of luck - the first trick we did (successfully) was way more difficult than the second trick, and yet we failed only the second (easier) trick. Skilled enough to succeed in the harder trick but not skilled enough to succeed in the easier trick? Nah. It's just luck. Anyway, congrats to everyone! ^_^ Glad we won Spider and some supplies, will definitely make a good use of them! I enjoyed it even though I expected it to be boring, and I hope everyone else enjoyed too!

I understand, Cedric. I'm a programmer myself and I know how complicated things can get. That's why I suggested making a list for the developers and dedicate a rather short time for them to go over it and decide what's really simple and what only sounds simple. Could even be just one day, just to take care of what really is simple. I'm not criticising anything you do (like the Battle! button) and not talking about big projects like the score system that you already mentioned in the V-LOG that it'll take more time. I'm only talking about the things that the devs know they can change quickly after taking a quick look at the code.

    Complaint Book

There are a bunch of problems, things that really bug many people even though they are not important enough for the game developers to focus on them and change them. It's mostly things that don't affect most of the players and really small things that you can easily tell someone who's complaining about them "deal with it, you'll be ok without it". From what people say, the developers focus on some projects and stay focused on them without taking care of other small things from time to time. I understand it's good to keep them focused on one task at a time and not mess around with random things all the time, this is exactly how it should be. But the problem with what's happening now is that these small annoying things that could improve the game a whole lot for some players, are never taken care of, because there are always high priority plans that will be the next task for the developers before whatever these little (and not so important for most players) changes might be. But if you make yourself a list of all these small suggestions and complaints from people, you'll see that overall it's the whole community who suffers from these little complaints being ignored and put away as low priority stuff. For each and every part of the community, there is at least one thing little they complain about. What I have on top of my head now is parkour stuff (like equipment change time limit that forces people to leave the battle to change equipment several times when experimenting with different equipment for a parkour trick, and sky kill zone that makes the biggest jumps impossible because whenever you get a really good jump you self destruct...) but I've heard a lot of complaints from other communities too, things that are low priority that got a reply like "you're right, I'll pass this feedback to the developers. But I don't know if they plan working on parkour mode." All of these things will never be taken care of, and will keep annoying players forever unless you do something about it some time very soon and not keep delaying it for something with higher priority. I suggest, no, I ask you, please, do a big favor to all of us and dedicate some time in the very near future for taking care of all of these small problems together. No need to make the developers lose focus every time there is another small complaint, just collect all complaints about small changes that can be done quickly, and have one or a few days (might be half a week, or half an hour, it really depends on how simple will these small complaints be) of the developers going through a list of all of the requests for small changes, and finally taking care of all the things that are bugging the players but aren't such a big deal to make it to the high priority projects list. You can have the moderators of the ideas and suggestions forum collect all the small complaints and make the list for you, or start a new forum topic asking for all the small changes people would like to see in the game. I definitely have a few things to add to this list. Thank you for your time and have a nice life :)

Devs are testing this turret, can you guess what will be it's implications in parkour? :P It's called "Rocket Launcher". Someone plz remind me on what V-LOG did they talk about the characteristics of this turret?

Masters of Parkour 2016 Winners Announced!

Thanks for bringing it back to 2 minutes instead of 2 attempts, will have more successful teams this way and the viewers will enjoy it more too :) (I'll be looking at first 2 attempts of each team and count how many teams wouldn't make it if you would keep it 2 attempts hh)

Many players suggested this before. No need to do anything complicated though, just make instant self destruction in parkour mode.

Masters of Parkour 2016 Winners Announced!

I didn't misunderstand the rules, I speak Russian and I know what the RU MOP rules were. I didn't say it was 2 attempts for them, just that he kept failing and lost points regardless of his actual skill and even regardless of his luck making it in the first attempt just because it was before the go signal. I did experiment with the tricks and did have creative tricks that I could land pretty easily (at least until lag started...), but I still had fails like 5 or even a few more times in a row sometimes, and it was a serious reason not to take a risk using this trick in the finals, even though my team isn't bad at it. This kind of pressure only makes parkourists bring down their creativity for the sake of safety. Regarding the livestream, maybe instead of requiring things to be fast because it's a live stream - make it something other than a live stream so you don't have to make everyone hurry up and lower the quality of the content a lot? You can't really choose the rules of the contest because of the way you choose to show the results, the planning should be the other way around - first choose a good challenge with proper rules, then think what is the best way to show everyone the results. Doesn't it make more sense? EDIT: Again, I'm sorry if it sounds rude or something (someone PMed me to stop replying...), it's just important for me to explain my point here for the sake of future contests... I'm not raging at you or anything :\

Masters of Parkour 2016 Winners Announced!

The difference between the first phase and my suggestion is that players have their targets set and can be judged exactly by the criteria you mentioned for the 2 attempts challenge (except for the speed, which is what turns it from skill to luck contest). You will get much better entries that way, and players will actually be creative instead of trying to pick something simple enough to have a higher chance to land it in the first attempt - because when you limit players like that they will give up most of the improvements they can add to the trick just to feel more confident with the landing. The pressure doesn't really affect much the performance of the parkourists, it affects a whole lot more their trick choices and confidence in improving the tricks.

Masters of Parkour 2016 Winners Announced!

It's easy to say, hard to actually do. Don't act like you don't know it yourself, you have enough experience with TFP to know that most times you don't land it in the first try. Don't try to deny it. I don't see why you are even saying this...

Masters of Parkour 2016 Winners Announced!

Honestly after understanding how exactly this contest works I really don't want to be a part of it. It only shows who's lucky, and the rest get the impression of being noobs just because they failed twice. Parkourists rarely get things done in the first 2 attempts, you can't compare their skill like that. It's just wrong. And did you see that RU MOP finalist that went before the "go" signal and made the OMP trick in first try? After this he kept failing and didn't get score for this trick, how on earth is that a proper skill rating system in any way? And how creative are you gonna get with 2 attempts? Please understand, this is the wrong way to compare skill of parkourists. The videos are a great way to do it, but not what you planned for finals. The best luckiest shall win. I am just disappointed, I imagined something better for MOP finals. In my opinion just choosing targets and letting each team record a video of conquering these same targets in the best way is a much better way to compare skill and creativity. Maybe next time consult with parkourists before coming up with parkour challenges? Because honestly, you don't know enough about it, but you do have people with more knowledge that can help you. I'm sorry if it sounds rude, I'm just really disappointed to find out that the MOP finals are something I don't want to take part in just because you judge skill in the wrong way. Seriously, don't you agree with me about this being a luck contest?
