Episode 108 of the V-LOG is here

There definitely needs to be some changes. I can acknowledge that hull categories could be more distinct, but if the changes are going to be this drastic, then, as everyone else has said, the game will be a lot less diverse. Mammoth will be overlooked next to Titan, and Hornet overlooked next to Wasp, especially with prices at M3. The medium class hulls aren't different enough (besides looks). Isida probably should be nerfed, but not to 10% self-healing; that's too low. If this is not changed (it should be), then maybe don't nerf the healing.

If you wanna know a more accurate view on changes to turrets (and hulls/supplies) then have a look at this: http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=337214 It doesn't seem to paint Freeze as an upcoming ruler, but neither as a turret that'll be nerfed more than buffed.

Well, as you probably know, Minotaur is the better of the two right now. After the change... Dictator (M2) beats Viking in turning speed, and acceleration. This shouldn't matter too much, I'd think; it depends on what you want to do with the hull. On the other hand, Viking has more health, and higher top speed, plus a low profile. The short height can be called an advantage or disadvantage, up to you. As long as you don't think ranks or price matter much to you (kits unlock early, so probably not), then I'd pick Viking. Even if you consider the 18k crystal difference, Viking (in my opinion). The rank would be the only changing factor, but as you want a kit, then it doesn't matter.

That would be worth it, but don't rule out waiting until the post-balance sale. If you wait, you might miss out on your chance to get an M3 at your rank, but might get a better deal in the end. I would be leaning towards buying Bulldozer, if I were you. PS: Freeze seems to be getting a boost in stats, so your current weapon(s) may become wore effective.

I thought exactly the same thing, until I saw that the max freezing level will be only a third what it currently is. In other words, Freeze currently can make you 3 times as slow as after the rebalance. However, it takes a while for it to do that currently.

If you didn't know, you answer it on the google form page, which you can find on this topic, page one, underneath the Vlog.

What to buy? Which is better?

Thanks, make sense. I'm not sure about Centaur, as the most I've used Shaft is at M0 and M1. It's not really my thing, so I'd prefer not to go for that on my main account. As for Isida; yes, what I'd earlier posted wasn't very accurate. I had a brief look, not absorbing that it would finish up with only 1/4 it's original self-healing, etc. As its price would be raised, along with its unlock rank, and also the Vlog talking about how it isn't very effective at Generalissimo, I assumed that the changes would be for the good more than bad. (And also, they did mention that it was OP before then.) My main question now is; what'll happen to kits? And, second question, who likes what'll be changed with Freeze? (Damage going up, better reload, better range, slower rotation, more energy consumption, one third current freezing level, and four times freezing speed/rate).

What to buy? Which is better?

I would still like answers, but looking closer at it, Isida needs its self-healing/healing. That will be diminished to less than a quarter what it had been.

I think Mino will still perform. Viking has slightly less health, but more speed, so fairly similar to now. Twins has a boost in most things, including damage (and max range damage), but slower reloading (0.25 to 0.29). Overall it sounds okay.

Other people say it's only an average M2. From what I know, it can kill M2 Hornets in two shots without double damage. Keep in mind that there are better turrets (Firebird, Twins and Smoky). If I were you, consider either an early M2 turret alone, of your choice (such as Isida) or go for an early M2 kit, such as Osaka (or Stinger), Siberian (both with M1 hulls), Avalanche, Boar, etc. If you haven't already, have a look at them all here: http://en.tankiwiki.com/Product_kits . M1 Hornet was enough to last me into the Lieutenant ranks, just before Captain ( to ) until I decided to buy M2; the reason being that it is one-shot-killed by M2 Rails. Keep that in mind.

I would say Rico, as it does enough damage to be paired with Hunter, and can do fine with Titan. Not sure about alterations/prices/changes that'll be in place soon.

What to buy? Which is better?

Since there will be a turret change, I am considering a change in plans. My original plan was to save for Prometheus, and maybe get Hornet M3 somewhere in between. Since I'd need to rank so much, I'm not as motivated to play on this account as much, though. Now, I figured out that, compared to the upcoming prices (http://en.tankiwiki.com/Global_update_of_game_balance_for_Tanki_Online) Isida is technically on a 38% discount now (167K~ vs 266k~). It'll lose a lot of its self-healing and healing, but gain damage at M3. I have 143k right now, and need to rank up approximately 1.5 times. I'd easily be able to afford Isida once I rank, but is it worth it? One other note, I have Thunder M3, Fire M2, Viking M2 and Mammoth M2 as my useful turrets/hulls. Fire M2 gets a boost with most stats, but halves heating rate (there is the doom (or nerf) to Fire's OP alteration!). Thunder M3 gets more consistent damage (not better, as min is increased and max decreased), more impact force, quicker reload and more range. Viking M2 seems to be slightly nerfed overall (apart from speed, etc.). So I could still survive without Isida, but which is the better option overall? Isida at Brig, or nothing?

    Alterations, Kits and Supplies Kits!

As for the large map / uncommon map issue, I think that it really would be worth investigating what could be done to alter which maps are played on most. This'd make the game feel like it has more variety again; like when you first unlock a map as a beginner (when at those ranks, there are plenty of different battles). An idea would be to slightly increase the amount of crystals per kill / flag cap for the more uncommon maps, and the maps that generally finish with the lowest battle funds, taking into account the number of people in them. The reason I say this is that every popular map seems to generate larger funds than others. Polygon, Island and Noise are examples. Then compare them to Skylark. Please have a think about this, as many people find that playing in the same old Poly is not as exciting as Tanki could be. If uncommon maps are promoted, and people know that they will not be gaining only half what they'd gain in Poly, there'd be another reason for us to be happy.

Will probably switch Viking for Dictator, as I've never tried that past M0 before. Twins might be nice if I get enough crystals, but chances are that I won't. Freeze'll be fun, and cheaper, so will see how I go before deciding completely. Depends on both rank and map. At Brigadier, and early WO ranks, Hammer starts being more common. Same for Freeze M1 (although still not worth too much of a mention). Nevertheless, I think you're pretty close. Thunder could be equalled with Twins, though.

What to buy? Which is better?

You are making me want to spend the crystals I have on it (150k).

What to buy? Which is better?

Northerner is better as an all-rounder, versus Atlas. I haven't checked the new protections since that paint update, so I'm not sure what is what with that, but if it is similar, then Atlas would still be better for medium to short ranges nonetheless. If you want Smoky, then Northerner's fine.

What to buy? Which is better?

I agree, mostly. Another option, if you are willing to stick it out slightly longer, is an M2/M3 kit like Bulldozer, or Ant. However, if I were you I would at least go for a second hull before that, like Viking M2. The problem is the late unlock, with Vik. Dictator M2 lasts until Brigadier, roughly. Maybe consider that instead.

What to buy? Which is better?

Thanks, sounds quite fun, so might do that. Dictator means Hero kit... 40k+ to go, and 80k xp to go  . Yeah, am only on the account I'm talking about. Plus Freeze, and possibly Hornet M1, although not planning on that for sure. Will see how I go. Thanks, again. Edit, not 80k xp (to go), as Hero comes out at . Therefore, 11k xp to go? I'll be getting it late. Or buying them separately on sale. If anyone else has a suggestion, I'd still like to hear.

What to buy? Which is better?

What would pair with M1 Railgun (obviously around the unlock rank, WO3)? I'm referring to both hulls and a second turret, but hulls being more important. Using Vulcan and Rail M0, plus Viking M0 until then. Thanks...

What to buy? Which is better?

Depends on rank. You'll start to see plenty of Firebird M1s, as you go higher. As for the other turrets, it depends more on the map you play. Freeze M1 is not very common, for example; especially on large maps. Twins is also quite popular, along with Fire.
  21. I'm sure you have at some time in your life, so, guilty. PUM is accused of feeling sick today.
  22. All sounds great; the only thing that is missing is a client for Mac (I tend to play on Mac often, and I'm sure others do, too). Thanks!

What to buy? Which is better?

Depends entirely on the map. If you'll get clear shots at the enemy, Vulcan usually works really well. If not (for example, if playing against Railguns which pop out of hiding for only short amounts to time) then the Rails will do better by far (especially when considering your fire-up time). As for simple range, I'm not too sure. You could look at the stats yourself, and your thoughts'd probably be the same as mine (if I look at them myself, which I haven't). With my limited experience, at long ranges it'll take a lot longer to kill someone (heaps of detail there  ). I vaguely remember hearing that it does 25% total damage? Anyway, you'd still be fine as a CTF defender, etc. on those larger maps.
