Nah, he should check the expiry date of his 35% discount. They usually run for a day, meaning that if he got that today, he won't have it tomorrow. Sorry to spoil this..

On a scale of 1-10, could you please rate these overall, and add extra notes? Wasp M1 Hornet M1 Thanks!
-
Well, at least it has the most suitable paint (for Vulcan).
-
Wasp sounds fun (not extremely effective on smaller maps, though) but I'm not really wanting Viking, as I bought Vik M2 which will last a while; it only has ~20-30hp less than M3. However, if such a kit unlocks at Marshal, then I might be fine with it...
-
I seem to have a need to rethink all my long-term plans. Prometheus has gone... Just waiting for the kit cycle, to see if there is another Firebird M3 kit. If it is a Mammoth/Fire kit, I think I'll die.
-
Firebird M3...? My beloved Firebird M3...? What has happened...? Prometheus has gone...? Well, I'll be waiting for the next cycle. Bye bye early Zeus, and possibly Firebird (and Hunter; I was looking forward to that, too). All I have to say is that there better be a Fire kit.

No worries, glad to help :). I would say yes, it would. However, you already have Isida M2, so you might be wanting to save for another solid M2 later. An M2 would be the better choice, but if you really want a quicker option, then yeah, you could go for it. At your rank, Thunder M1 does really well, so even though you'd be getting an M1 not M2 it's not like you'll do badly with it (you'll still be able to win fine).
-
I mean, excluding them (What is the best M1(s) excluding Twins and Thunder?) I would believe that it depends on your game style/what you prefer. Pick the one you'd like most, as both have their positives and negatives. However, if you want a solid answer, I would say Isida, (in general). It can self-heal and heal others. Hammer cannot.
-
I wouldn't, for a number of reasons. Firstly, you're aiming for Minotaur. When I was in your position, I wanted Firebird M2, and Isida was a nice in-between step. Minotaur isn't that far away from you, and 51k will take a while to re-earn. Twins M1 will keep you going for a while longer, anyways, so hold out a while longer. Another reason is the upcoming sales. There will be sales (this Saturday), but we don't know yet what percentage. I would guess that it'll be more than 25%, however, so if you want Isida, wait. Last thing; Isida isn't really a very good M2. It heals fine, and can hold its own well at unlock rank, but as time passes, the Firebirds (M2) will be swarming you and doing much better than you. Your only significant positive is that you can heal others. So, if I were you, I'd skip it. Isida is okay as a secondary M2 (or early M2), but spending 51k will put you behind your goal by a while; you have to save to ~200k for Minotaur. It's better to get the better M2 earlier than later.
-
One other thing: Besides Thunder M1 and Twins M1, what would you rate as the next best M1(s)?
-
Oh, it's tempting. But no, I shouldn't... Saving for other stuff. I know I've asked this before, but if there are people who are willing to answer who haven't yet, please do so: Wasp M3 or Hornet M3? Then also taking into account that I'll probably have Hunter M3 at that time.

Well, Minotaur and Northerner both have the better hull. Vik M2 is great; I have it and use it in place of my Hornet M2 in most situations, and often in place of Mammoth M2. As for turrets, Fire M2 is really effective. You can wipe out a number of people before you die, especially if you have more health, or the enemies are grouped together. Twins works very well, but I haven't tried it before. As I stated, it's one of the better turrets; one of the best three (Fire, Smoky and Twins). I haven't tried Smoky at M2 either, but it's obviously an excellent all-rounder, and is considered the best of M2s. You'll be able to go to most maps and do fine with it (just maybe leave out Island). If you want something that'll be best at medium-short range, go for Minotaur, or Firewall. Firewall's hull lets it down, though. At any range/longer ranges, go for Northerner. Overall (excluding paints), Northerner, then Minotaur, then Firewall.

9/10 (Why not? My guess is someone will put me as a 3. :) )
-
Ah, I put DM as my answer, and was worrying that it might have been TDM instead. I knew that CTF was later, so thought it wouldn't have been that. I applause this, anyway, as this shows that the challenge will stay challenging / fun in the future. I need to learn how to read everything analytically..

Results [Issue 53.5] Continue the Story III, Part II.
Bluebird13 replied to greyat in Newspaper Archive
Heh, this is my first win/consolation of any sort! Yay, and thank you all; well done to everyone else. I'm very happy with this, as the more I read my story, the more faults I found. I hadn't considered injury recovery, for starters. Thanks everyone  . -
[Deprecated] Test Drives - Have you ever gotten a test drive?
Bluebird13 replied to donaldo9000 in Archive
I had one (a number of weeks after the release) on a desolate Gravity round; Titan M1. Not very useful, but that was just my bad luck, and that's okay. :) The only thing that would be nice is clarity concerning the test drives. Reading this, I assume they are still in the game, but really rare. Some people apparently have been getting a few of them, while others who play quite a bit haven't had one before at all. -
As I haven't had much experience with Rico, I have a question. Is its reload/number of shots per reload and projectile speed noticeably better when at higher Ms? M2 for example? More info helps; I'm probably going for Boar on another account.
-
Nah, keep saving. That 80k could go to good use buying a second M2 later, along with Vulcan. You (Fleety_awesome) need a hull, of course, and you'd already have one if you don't spend on MUs. If you end up struggling, later, with stock Vulcan M1, you could always just spend some crystals buying Twins M1. That option is still 50k cheaper than MUing, and Twins is great.
-
Smoky, Twins and Fire are considered the top three M2s. Smoky is the most versatile; doing well everywhere, yet Fire and Twins are limited to medium-small maps. It all depends on your style; which turret suits you and your hulls best? One last thing. Have you thought about Atlas? That could be considered better than Northerner in smaller maps. Up to you. One second last thing. If you decide upon Ant, definitely don't MU your Hornet. Ant probably isn't very wise, considering the Hornet. If you want Isida, go for Medic.
-
You don't want Twins and Fire together? That's the best of the lot. If you only want those combinations of things (and aren't considering hulls) then I'd have to go with the Twins and supplies. Twins can be better than Fire if used right (and vice versa), and with supplies, you'll be winning every battle for sure. Rail does give you a long range turret, but it's only an average M2; not worth it. Fire is great, but Twins plus supplies outdoes it. Just looked at your profile. I'd say that you'd find that Hammer is better than Rail. Don't go for rail, whatever you do. Either Twins or Fire is fine. One last thing. Twins tends to work better with supplies over an extended amount of time. Once Fire runs out of charge..
-
I have Bulldozer, and can confirm that it's great; I win most battles (whether I'm playing at my rank or higher). I haven't tried Ant before, nor have I seen heaps of them. Wasp M2 is better than Hornet M2 (similar health and smaller/faster) and M3 Isida obviously works very well. I'm pretty sure Emerald is more valuable than Irbis, but that's all opinion, and depends on what you want protection from.
-
Could I ask if Boar would last to the rank after Major (colonel, or something)? On an alt, I could get that, then save for Ant. Sounds okay? My only concern would be the amount of crystals I could earn with Boar. Does that kit place in the top few often? One last thing; Siberian or Boar, considering the unlock ranks of the kits (WO2 and WO5) and the cost difference. Siberian saves me 89k, but gives me less quality. And could that live until an M2/M2 kit? Thank you.
-
Well, the smart move would be to save. Not sure how well your hulls will cope, though, (so just play in the right maps). If I were you (and since you can re-earn enough for Medic, as you say) I would go for Atlas; more fun (why play this game if you aren't trying different things?). If you've tried Atlas before, and aren't that keen, skip it. If you will have enough for Medic and Atlas, go for Atlas (I'd say). On the other hand, MUing an M3 is better in the long run. Up to you.
-
Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure I bought M2 Hornet during Halloween sales just so I could survive M2 Rail shots. I couldn't, before, with a slightly MU'ed M1. Maybe most people MU their Rails enough to do that? If not, then you'd be wrong. Doesn't really matter, I suppose.
-
If you are only doing average now, and want to save for Legend, then buying Firebird M2 during a sale isn't a bad move. Rail is only average, while Fire is great. With fire, I can win most battles (or 1st-3rd in larger sized, higher ranked battles). Keep saving apart from possibly buying Fire, and you'll do fine.
