M3 Smoky gets crits a LOT more often than every 6 shots. The last time I used it on the Test Server, I was getting crits every 2-3 hits. I feel like Smoky improves the most between M0-M3. Damage aside, it has much improved range, MUCH improved fire rate, higher crit change, and higher crit ramp-up.

Yeah. Getting killed by a Wasp-Twins is quite embarrassing. Who knows, maybe in the future somebody will master the art of Wasp-Twins, and it will finally be respected.

Thanks! Since I'm now a WO4, I can save up and buy M1 Thunder (possibly Tundra too) on Tankman's day. I'm making quite a bit of money, actually, so that shouldn't be too hard (contest money would help too). True. Wasp-Twins may not be too effective, but hey, you have one of the most annoying turrets in the game (high knockback, infinite ammo) and the most annoying hull in the game, so just try to draw the fire of your opponents while staying alive as much as you can. If you can get the attention of several players on the enemy team (shouldn't be hard), lead them away from the flag and let somebody else take it. If you can get kills, great. Another perk is that most players don't take Wasp-Twins users very seriously (understandably), so if you're a lot better than they think, you have the element of surprise. Still, Smoky-Wasp has the best combination of annoyingness and practicality.

Yep. Wasp is light and nimble, and unlike Hornet, it doesn't drift, which makes maneuvering a lot easier.

woot I ranked I've been using Mosquito a lot recently. It's really powerful, and I like it. Smoky's still my favorite turret, though. Wasp-Twins is usable, but not the best. You need to get pretty up close and personal to use it to the best of its abilities, and at that point you're probably better off using Firebird/Freeze/Isida.

You have several options for turrets and hulls at your rank: M1 Firebird: Pretty good, and very cheap. If you like close range weapons, this will do fine for you. M1 Freeze: Good, but not that cheap. M1 Smoky: Pretty cheap, and very good in the right hands. I highly recommend it. M1 Shaft: Good, moderate price. M1 Isida: Fairly good, moderate price. M1 Ricochet: Pretty good, moderate price. For hulls: M1 Titan- Good, but M1 Dictator (which you'll get in another rank) is better. Still, very cheap and a good buy. M1 Viking- Pretty good, not that cheap. M1 Hunter, which you'll get at WO4, is much better, though. M1 Wasp- Very good in the right hands, pretty cheap. I recommend it if you like Wasp. M1 Hornet- Pretty good, but moderately expensive. M1 Mammoth-Dirt cheap, but I wouldn't recommend it. If you're planning on getting a light hull, Firebird, Freeze, and Isida are great choices. If you want a medium/heavy hull, Shaft and Ricochet are especially good. Smoky goes well with all hulls.

It's also extremely good for offense; you can curbstomp the enemy team with drugs and without. There were two M1 Dictator-M1 Ricochet players on the enemy team, and one of them actually copied my combo further into the game. So far, the count of people who have been annoyed enough by my Smoky to actually switch to a Smoky of their own is 4. :lol:

Dictator-Smoky is an epic combo. I was recently in a match with Trom, and a M1 Dictator-M1 Smoky can defend the flag from two or three people at the same time. It's like Smoky-Titan, but far more mobile.

I would love this. Maybe the subjects should be narrowed down to something Tanki-related. My only concern would be having too many long, long posts clogging up the page (long isn't a bad thing, but having to scroll forever to read the next person's submission would be annoying). This could be fixed by making enclosing your submission in spoiler tags mandatory. Overall an exemplary idea, and I hope it gets implemented in the near future. In case it does, I'm mentally drafting a story (seems pretty good so far).

M1 Wasp is far faster than M1 Titan.... ...not sure why you think the 5.03 speed is fast.

Whatever you say about Jade, it looks good, especially with M3s.

Tundra seems great. The 10% Smoky protection doesn't help all that much (Flora, which also has 10% Smoky protection, doesn't make much of a difference), but 30% Railgun protection is extremely useful, especially if you're using Wasp. If I work hard, I might be able to get it on Tankman's Day along with M1 Thunder, and that will complete my paint shopping and M1 shopping once and for all. I can then save up for M2s (I don't see anything I really want in the Lieutenant ranks).

Lead is the only cheap paint I would recommend. Forester and Marine don't help much at all, and it's not worth the crystals to MU them. In the case of Marine, Storm is much better, and it would probably be cheaper to buy that instead of upgrading Marine.

At the M1 level, Hunter is much better, but it's pretty expensive. Since you're currently broke, M1 Viking is probably more realistic.

I do NOT recommend upgrading those paints. You could have waited until Tankman's day and gotten something much more useful, like M1 turrets and hulls. You basically wasted a ton of crystals.

They're probably not going to change the kits on Tankman's Day. They said they'll be rolling out the changes mid-September, and Tankman's Day is in early September. If you want to get them, get them soon, since I think they'll be removing the higher ranked items in the update, like Cedar in the Medium Tank M1 Kit.

I play with the worst graphical settings possible. It reduces lag by a lot.
