w00t beat Trom in a duel. It was pretty close. I feel like I spent half of the match running away from Trom's M1 Wasp/M1 Freeze. I usually try to run away from battles I can't win (Wasp is really handy for that), and my M1 Smoky/M1 Wasp isn't going to win at close range.

Quick question: I have a general idea of what do do as a Mosquito (fairly similar to Hornet-Rail, only faster), but what position should you take on the battlefield? Offense, defense, or mid field?
-
I think you meant Electra. Electra's one of the best looking paints in the game, but I just recently realized that the red lightning probably is a reference to M3 Isida. Hence why the devs chose that it would protect from it.

Woot let me analyze this.

I don't have M3s, but I won. It doesn't have anything to do with what equipment you have. -
I think I could still play with one of your Second LT accounts (vette or trom), but I can't deal effectively with M2s in general (I have historically curb-stomped several M2 players, but not anybody with decent skill). I'll send a request to ImagineYourDragons. We can duel when you have the time.

let's talk about new tanki online (tanki online 2)

Blasphemy. Dictator is already an awesome looking hull. Edit: 300th post! -
I'm going to get this in the M1 Medium Tank kit once I buy it. It's ridiculously powerful against the still-common M0 hulls I see at my rank, and it works well against M1 hulls as well. It also goes well with Dictator and Wasp. The M1 Medium Tank kit comes with M1 Dictator, and I already have M1 Wasp, so I would be able to be a mid-fielder and an annoying yet powerful Mosquito.
-
M1 Titan is alright. Not immobile, tons of health. Mammoth is eh, but still usable. I don't like the speed. It's extremely boring traversing large swaths of ground. M1 Dictator totally beats both M1 Titan and M1 Mammoth, though. Much better speed and the same health as M1 Titan. I can't wait getting my hands on it.
-
Wasp- I shouldn't have to explain this. You like its speed and agility. Thunder-Wasp is your favorite combo. Hornet- Hmm, not sure. You like the M3? Hunter- All around great tank, pairs well with everything. It's heavier than Wasp but still fast.
-
Good luck. You can catch up with Bugatti in terms of rank now (I'm aware he has a gismo account).
-
Same here. It's incredibly fast (pop a nitro and drive up a ramp, you will fly), has excellent handling (you can zip around corners and close quarters like nobody's business), and is fairly stable once you get the hang of it (I don't completely have the hang of it yet, but it works). It works well with pretty much everything, but I'm currently using it with Smoky (it's usurped my M0 Hornet as my main Smoky hull), Firebird, and Freeze
-
Another update on M1 Wasp/M0 Freeze: it absolutely MASSACRES anything in its way in Iran. So yeah, I guess if you're great with Smoky, you'll do good with Freeze.
-
I bought it. I do not regret buying it one bit. You can use a lot of tactics you usually use with Smoky for use with Freeze. They both operate on the same principle; disorientate your opponent. Circle strafing works like a charm. I even managed to kill a M2 Hornet with it. It pairs perfectly with M1 Wasp.
-
I'm considering getting M0 Freeze on the discount (always wanted to try it out), but I already have M1 Firebird, and I don't want to spend the cash for M1 Freeze (I wouldn't be able to get the M1 Medium Tank kit anytime soon if I get it). Is M0 Freeze still useful against M1s?
-
I don't see any increased crit chance with DP when I use it, but since your normal shots deal almost as much damage as crits, I'm not complaining.
-
Here. It's a bit old, but the information is still useful. Keep in mind that Isida is not meant for people blindly charging into the battlefield. Take side routes and advance when the Railguns and Shafts are occupied with someone else and/or are reloading.
-
Can't wait to get my hands on M1 Wasp. I can then retire my M0 Hornet.

24hrs only: 50% discount on Wasp, Freeze & related paints plus 25% off credit card purchases

I guess the M1 Medium Tank kit will have to wait. I'm DEFINITELY buying M1 Wasp (it's going to be only 6550 crystals). Probably not going to get Freeze, since I already have a close range weapon. -
In Tanki, there are only a few tank combos I've seen so far that actually legit scare me when I see them. In no particular order: 1. Drugging Isida-Vikings, especially if they pop out of nowhere. Almost unstoppable due to self heal. 2. Drugging Smoky-Titan. This is scary in any game mode, anywhere. If you see this (assuming you don't have drugs and a Titan/Mammoth) and you're in a corner, you're probably screwed. 3. Drugging Wasp-Freeze. At long range, it's no big deal, but at close range, consider yourself dead. I was playing in a Rio CTF a while back, and one of these was the #1 enemy of my Shaft-Titan. Even mines didn't work very well. I can deal with other things in a calm and collective manner, but seeing one of the above three makes me very tempted to run away. Well, Smoky becomes an absolute monster at M4, and Titan keeps its useful properties, so I can only imagine that at high ranks, facing Smoky-Titans becomes even worse.

Each hull is good in its own right, but I think special kudos should go to Wasp, Hunter, Dictator, and Titan. They're outstanding in the right hands. -Wasp is for if you want to be a ninja/guerrilla/extremely annoying attacker. If you can avoid getting hit, it's better than Hornet. -Hunter is for if you want to be a general purpose assault/defending tank. Jack of all trades, master of none, but never the less extremely formidable. -Dictator is for a come-at-me-bro playstyle. You announce your arrival in the battlefield thanks to the size, but you can tank a lot of damage and dish a lot out, while the good speed means that you control where the front lines are. Totally badass hull in the right hands, but if you're not good at it, then eh. -Titan can soak up massive damage. Great for both campers who need to fight Shaft battles and aggressive players who want to be where all the action is (although it might move away at a moment's notice).
-
They can always stay out of your effective range, in which case you can't hit them. As a Shafter, l always take Ricochet users out when they're too far away to attack me, and I run if they get too close.
-
I used Smoky-Titan on a Monte Carlo CTF. It's an excellent defender (Smoky's knockback and Titan's pushing power help with bridge jumpers), and if you push through the lower bridge, you can be an absolute pain in the butt for the other team by single-handedly invading their base and causing mayhem. Your Hornet/Wasp-using teammates can then grab the flag and escape. You can't really catch crystal boxes with this combo, but you get a lot of battle fund if you kill a lot of enemies/return flags as a defender.
-
I didn't catch any 2000 gold boxes since I was on vacation. I started playing in mid-May, so it took me roughly 3 months to get to this rank.
-
For me, it's a tie between Hunter and Dictator.
