Hallelujah! Good riddance to pause timer abuse. It's going to only affect the 15 minute battles now?

I play team games and when I come across these type of players, I usually leave. That team gets screwed mostly, being a player short when needed and concentration being near to non-existent when he/she is present. I could give them the benefit of the doubt and pass it off as connection issues. More often though, it's very persistent and I don't even see the player materialize in game. I'd put my finger on it being a mult then, tactically denying battle slots because it simply and effectively utilizes a loophole in the rules. You can't get banned for it. If it's in a DM, it's plain cheating and should be reported. It goes without saying that players who are probably afraid of being called out in DM's for doing this, move into team games where they are less likely to face individual attention, while they rack up that D/L.

^ Looks like a flower patch XD

Annoying one on one - has to be twins. Shafts are not far behind. Thunders in groups are brain-dead OP - protection or no protection. Smokys leave targets smokin hot, and then flip em over n cook some more :P But if you have protection, you can ignore them (till you need to jump that is).

I see what you did there XD

No, not remove frontal and side splash, rather only the back splash. I think you are confusing the damage values with the effect. It's only the effect of splash that I suggest changes to - NOT the numbers. The thing with numbers is that it's going to be different in every scenario. So I'll bring one up here - If there is 12% splash, the 12% could be dealt full on in a frontal blow to a bunch of tanks facing thunder or in the line of sight, but NOT a tank completely behind (protected/hidden by) them. If the shielding is not complete though, the splash affects all. Does this make what I'm trying to say any clearer? The self damage - there is no "share/part" of splash. A user is always going to deal frontal splash to himself right?? Looking at this from where I stand, nothing changes. The probability that enemies get hit being reduced - and why not? I have a bone to pick with thunder users here. Half of them, half the time aren't even aware who they hit/kill. With something like this being added, gameplay is going to depend more on the user's positioning of their tank as well as the enemy's. You cannot just camp. If freeze/fire can deal with shielding, I don't see why thunder users can't - and if numbers don't change, there isn't a real need for compensation or comparison. Thanks for pointing out hammer. But hammer doesn't have "splash". So shielding is already affecting it I believe.

That moment when you are trying to get someone banned but it backfires and you get banned for provocation or something like that. That moment you take out 3 or 4(possible?) mines with a hornet and you're happy to die for once :)

Thunder is comparable to fire/freeze in it's ability to damage multiple tanks in one shot. All other turrets kill one tank at a time (except railgun, which I guess can be excused because double shots are pretty rare themselves). When tanki introduces something like shielding, IMO a holistic approach is needed to maintain a sense of balance, if not true balance. What I think will happen eventually is what happened back in the day when the light/med tank kits were available to purchase very early in the ranks. The start of a never ending cycle of experimentation. How? Like this- 1. Imbalanced promotion of Thunder/viking/prodigi with the med kit. Every other turret fell at a disadvantage. 2. Thunder users bloom like plankton and everyone starts getting protection against it. Think about it, it must be like the second most popular gun (after rail). But rail users just take whatever is dished out to them with a grain of salt and go sulk in XP/BP. Other turrets don't really have such practical options as of yet. 3. Thunder users naturally start complaining about ineffectiveness. 4. Tanki tries to figure out what is not working, tinkers with hulls, then turrets, supplies one-by-one, stirring up a nice salty soup. 5. Basically everyone starts complaining, and tanki levels it all out with a rebalance. 6. Repeat. Only difference here is that thunder is being indirectly promoted. It's only a matter of time before players realize fire/freeze has equal/less power over a crowd compared to thunder (and thunders don't even need to get close). Granted the scale of such things is hard to measure, but little things like this add up. I'd like to add that players who have been in the game for a few years, playing often, is favored with strong instinct that time confers. I trust mine enough to stand my ground on this, not in any way disrespecting anyone else. It's also a cause for concern that players who use a weapon as a primary on any account will NOT add their voices to ideas that deny edges to their equipment. An understandable bias. It needs to be obvious to people who do the surveys though - fix your perspective on numbers first.

^Yeah, that's what I meant. Thunder could still be deadly with only the side and frontal splash. It would be more realistic too that way (thunder is NOT artillery). Just my opinion.
-
Please add the shield effect against thunder too.

I can understand the "around a corner" part, but I'm finding it difficult to picture how a wasp/hornet behind (completely shielded) by a mammoth who is taking a frontal hit from thunder, should get damaged by splash.
-
I have a question about splash (sorry if it's stupid). I got curious after watching the recent vlog where they say shielding your tank behind another when under attack by fire/freeze prevents damage. Anyone care to explain if thunder works the same way? Like, splash hurts when you are positioned above/below/beside + behind the tank being shot at by a thunder? Do you think shielding should work with thunder too?

So we have a tanki obituary?? Now I've seen everything!

Lol! Cracked me up. This must have taken a good bit of effort - very well put together!

Near 13-mile woods New Hampshire. Zoom in near the bush in the middle (between the poles) and hopefully you can make out the bull moose that wandered in. Sadly I had the wrong lens mounted. 5 seconds later, an excited driver on the road screeched to a halt beside it and scared it off. Still miffed about it. And beautiful Maine

A lily, I guess. Screw the scientific names, they are so absurd (Lol). Nice topic. Hopefully I can dig up some pics soon!

Very nice! Keep doing what you do best. Your pieces are my favorite "brand". Lol

How about some blood? *Insert evil isida bee smile*

Great tribute to the isida! Penned it real smooth... *Raises my glass to you*

I'd share a pic if I had one. Maybe someone else does. All you had to do was login for the day and click the accept button. Ikr, it was random but spaced over a length of time (like a week or month) there was definitely more value to it (and flexibility) than missions these days - atleast in my view. Btw, I just go 1v1 when I get those finish firsts and don't worry about losing coz it's always a win-win situation B)
-
Hehe... true. Always thought the daily missions was a mixed bag because before it hit, tanki used to give players a lot of freebies. Looking back, I'd say it marked the end of an era in tanki. Nice article!

Funny, after I finished watching, I didn't remember what was in it to remember! Must be tanki wearing off on me...
-
Sooooo me XD And those Rio trees! Positively drives me up the wall. Totally relate to these.

IMO it's not so much about hate as it is about understanding and the lack of it because neither party has walked in the others shoes for any length of time.
