  1. I think he has just been destroyed. The view before he respawned. That is why you can't see his tank.
  2. This is another battle that I joined about half an hour ago. It looks as balanced as a battle can be yet, within the 11 minutes I was in the battle, the early horn sounded 5 times followed almost immediately by the all clear. That happened within about 5 minutes. For those, the average was a horn/clear horn every minute. Obviously, some minutes got more than that. The score was very close. Both teams were doing equally well. I have no idea what toggled the horn. Through analyzing this video by looking at the notifications on the top right, I think I found what the problem is. Whenever a team destroys a few tanks of the other team and/or capture the point, the horn sounds. When the other team destroys a few tanks or recaptures the point, the battle returns to normal. The problem is that you are following the battle too closely. You practically expect whenever a team destroys a tank, the other team should destroy a tank immediately. If a team destroyed 4 tanks or so, then you panic. Well, you need to look farther than the last 5 or 10 seconds you are looking at. You need to look at an entire minute at least. You also need to factor in the total score of the battle or both teams. You can't panic if a team gets a lucky 1 or 2 minutes. Again, you need to look at the entire score. Also, be careful not to panic if this happens in the first 2 minutes. At least, give it 5 minutes. Though, I emphasize that when an entire team leaves the battle, you need to end it virtually immediately. If they want, they can stick around and join a new battle, but there is no point in waiting.   4. I was observing this battle from outside and saw the early end switch on and off as you can see in the video. , then I wanted to get into it and see what it happening in the inside. I intended to join the winning side because it was 1 player up and not play, but the losing side started firing at me, and then I found out that the losing side had full team, so I joined the game. You can see that no real changes happened while the early end toggled on and off, on and off, on and off, on and off, etc. Nothing happened (out of the ordinary) inside the battle. One key thing I want to emphasize here, if the losing team overruns the winning team, let them be. The result is obvious that they may :) win, but they are not winning yet, so if you end the battle early, you are being unfair to them. While I waited for this video to render, I was looking at the battle list. I saw a battle with the early timer on with 2 players on one side and nobody on the other side, and they were waiting. Their scores were low. So I joined the battle and asked them if they were seriously waiting for a 100 crystal battle fund. One of them destroyed my tank. Do you know how I punished them? When I joined the battle, the timer reset to the original timer. I left the battle, so the early timer toggled restarting from 3 minutes. I waited until there was 1 minute left and rejoined the battle. The timer reset again although I did not capture a point or kill anybody. I left the battle immediately. While I was about to join the battle again to continue my punishment while I waited for the video, a poor guy joined the battle. A minute later, he did not score anything and left. Then a couple of guys joined the battle. It was hilarious. I hope they enjoyed the punishment. That is one good side of the early end system. :P [media=640x360] [/media]
  5. I am to make sure that the devs got the point that the messages are meaningless. The team who is losing badly knows it. If they don't, don't worry about it, chances are they would not know what the message means anyway, especially that the messages are switched. In addition to GeneralVeers suggestion, I say record a few battles where the horn honks a dozen or a few dozen times and dissect that battle. Figure out when it made sense and when it did not, and see how you need to fix it. I have been saying this is not a trivial task even before Semyon Strizhak liked it and said he would implement it. It turned out to be even harder than I anticipated and 100 times harder than Semyon thought. If you have to, take it out until you figure it out. Just keep the part where a battle should end within half a minute if one team leaves completely and the battle fund is nonzero. Good luck, guys.

    deadtoyou's answer is pretty good. I cannot say more if you do not provide more information. All we gathered is that you love M2 Smoky and you intend to buy M3 Thunder anyway. Based on that, I can say that M2 Fire, which I think is very powerful, is not your playing style. Usually, people say I play this map, what is the best combo, etc.? The right way is to say I love this combo or this weapon, which maps suit it. :P
  7. This is an interesting appendix to the guide. I think your K/D is called officially D/L. This is an interesting idea. If good tanks join the losing team, when it wins, it becomes the other team's turn. That changes the game dynamics quite a bit, and, I think, it makes the game more interesting.
  8. I guess I was not the only one who experience this. There was nobody on the enemy team, and we got the early end horn. A few seconds later, we got the all clear horn. There was still nobody on the enemy team, so there was no way anybody could have scored anything. That was Polygon CP. I realize that our CP score might have increased, but that makes all more reason to end the battle early. Also, when there is nobody on the other team, can you please end it within half a minute or less?
  9. I am glad that you realize that there is something wrong with the early end system. However, this made it worse. Like others noticed, I sometimes hear the alarm go on and off all the time. It still misses some cases where it should go on, and, to compensate for that, it goes on when it should not. I think you need to reconsider the criteria when it should go on. I think part of the problem is that you are comparing the absolute delta in score. I believe that you need to factor in how long the game has been going on. Never turn the alarm on when the game is less than 1 minute old. When you toggle the state of the alarm, do not toggle it again within a couple of minutes. Sit back and observe. Factor in the ratio of the total score too. If one team scored 2000 over the last 10 minutes, do not panic if they score 400 this minute. Things to consider: How long has the battle been going on. How far is the set end. How long is the battle. The absolute score of both teams. The absolute delta of score of both teams. The percentage score increase of both teams. The absolute size of both teams. The relative size of both teams. Don't do a standard 10% time grace period. You need to base that on the size of the battle (the sizes of both teams). Make the grace period from 2-4 minutes, not from 1.5-6 minutes and crazily longer for longer PRO battles. Start observing as soon as the first team scores. If they stay 10 minutes without scoring, relax. They are doing something else. This is not as trivial a change as you must have though when the idea struck your fancy. It is pretty complicated.     Judging from what you are saying, it sounds like Dictator. High ranks drive like senior citizens. :P But you don't exactly want that.

    If you get killed easily, get a heavier hull. If you are fine with your hull health but you are suffering from its speed, get a faster hull in the same armor. If you are okay with those, get a turret. Now, which turret to get mainly depends on your preferences and skills.

    If CP, go with Inferno, else (if CTF, etc.) go with Mars.

  16. This is an excellent guide. I learned a few things from this guide. Thank you. However, I do not agree with your comparison between the Rico and each of the Twins and Hammer. Average TDPS table for M0/M1/M2/M3/M4 Twins----: 24.0, 36.0, 42.8, 48.4, 056.0 Rico-----: 27.0, 33.6, 43.6, 61.7, 073.0 Hammer: 29.3, 43.1, 59.2, 75.2, 108.3 For the Twins, the Rico is superior except for M1. However for M0/M1/M2 they are close enough that whoever gets the first shot will most likely win. For the Hammer, the Rico should win if it can survive 3 Hammer shots. That is very likely (depending on the Hull obviously) for M0/M1/M2. You need a heavier hull for M3/M4. I obviously can't expect you to go in depth when comparing the Rico with every turret. By the way, the leading with the shots becomes very difficult and or impossible when you need vertical auto aiming because you would be aiming at an empty spot.

    M1 Hornet should be fine until you can get M2 Hunter. Do not get M1 Hunter. Just improve your skills.

    How can anybody answer your question? :P If you really want another turret or hull, save up. If you intend to use Thunder most of the time, MU. It also depends on how much you are considering to spend on MUs and how much you can earn by next sale.

    Actually, DM is more complicated because you can't easily tell who is allied with who, and that is a common thing. Only noobs kill every tank in sight. :P

    I am sorry that you feel that way. If you remember, I said this a few months ago. Regardless of that, I appreciate your efforts and take this chance to thank you for all you did. I hate mults as much as you do, but if we can't convince TO that they are affecting their bottom line, we won't get help and our efforts will be mostly wasted.

    I disagree. Say you have M0 turret and you spend on it 1000 cry. This 1000 cry will not get you anywhere when buying an M1 of that turret. You will most likely recover those 1000 cry over a month or whatever, but if you spend 30,000 cry MUing your M0 turret, you are completely out of your mind. Even if you completely waste those 1000 cry, so what?
