Being a buyer only makes it a waste of money instead of a waste of crystals. :P I think if there is a huge sale (50+%) on MUs, it may make sense to get the first few steps if you know that doing that can make you survive a single rail hit or kill something in 3 hits instead of 4, etc. but doing it blindly is silly.

This holds because the maps mentioned were not small. Rico sucks in ping-pong for example no matter how good you are, I believe. In general, you are right, face to face, I kill thunders, hammers, smokys, even vulcans, etc. easily. The ones that are not easy to kill face to face are isida/fire/freeze. In ping-pong, you can't avoid those. The funny thing is when someone is circling me to avoid my hits, and I do not miss a hit. You might as well stand still and make it easier for the two of us. :)

What you said holds for every turret. It is you who can make a turret very dangerous, so invest in yourself before you invest in equipment.

I like to think of it this way. If you have a decent D/L, especially above 1, get a better turret to increase it. If you have low D/L, then you are getting killed too easily, so get a better hull. In either case, improve your skill too. Good equipment does not play on its own.

Not only that, but when you compare turrets, you have to assume everything else equal. I do not say if I am using blah blah and face a noob, I definitely win. That's comparing me with the noob, not our two turrets.

No. I once reported someone, and as far as I could tell nothing happened at all, so I quit. Besides, this flying guy was fun. He did not hurt me or anything. :) I might have done something wrong when I reported the first person. Shouldn't they at least say insufficient evidence, or that was okay or whatever, if they decide not to punish? I did not see my post make it ever.

This is not true. TDPS for the Twins is 40. TDPS for the Rico is 37.5. Twins should win.

If that is really how it happened, that is a server bug. The server should process the first request it got and deny the other.

These are small/medium maps. If you said ping-pong, I would have said stick with short range, but for the maps you mention here, use what you like most and learn the skills for it. Don't just go up the ranks with only more powerful equipment. Grow your skills too.

I have never used drugs, so that did not matter to me. I guess it will take me a while to figure out that my skill is not good enough. :P

I finally decided to go ahead and get it, and the stupid thing rules even though I have not got used to it.. For me, because I only had the Hunter M0, it was equivalent to M1+M2 Hunter + M0+M1+M2 Hammer = 279,100 for < 103,000. That was over 63% discount. Although I hate the Hammer, the discount was not something to pass. It only cost me +10K over getting the M2 Hunter, so I finally said what the heck! See you around.

That is correct. Rail needs more skill. I think your suggestion makes sense, because someone who has invested in learning the rail skills would not ask this question. :)

Big maps? Medium maps? Small maps? Thunder looks more powerful to me, but which one do you personally like most? I would say go with your heart. :)

You do not sound like a rail guy, so I say go with the Hornet. The Wasp needs more skill, not that you can buy it until you rank up twice. You may then be ready for it.

Technically, Smoky is medium range. Compare its range with Isida/Firebird/Freeze. Its range is comparable to Rico/Twins/Hammer. I wouldn't say that. TDPS is about 20 for Smoky and about 16 for Railgun. However, with the rail, you can hide for longer, and you are less exposed during that time, if you have that skill. Also, with the rail, you can shoot anyone anywere and often take them out with one hit. Whereas with the Smoky, you have medium range and you always need multiple hits unless your enemy is finished already. Why did they have to have an incredible discount on a kit that has the turret I hate most? If Hammer M3 was available free of charge, I would need to think for a minute before deciding to get it. :)

I am lower than your rank. I have just ranked up to captain. I play Polygon CP mostly as well because I do not have to drive ten miles to get to a base or an enemy. It is always mayhem all the time wherever you are. It is also exp and crystal dense because you do not get either for driving your tank all over town. :) I see people use everything. Isida is not that good unless you have fewer tanks. Freeze and Friebird are a lot better, because you can burn or freeze everyone at the control point, while for Isida it is one by one, and you are very likely to be taken out while doing that. I use Rico and that is just because I like it. Many people use Thunder. Some use Hammer, but I think Hammer is no longer in fashion as the newest turret. Some use Vulkan, maybe because it is new or because it is like the Twins but it is longer range and it does not look like a noob turret like the Twins looks (to me). The same goes for hulls. I see Wasps to Mammoths, all with short/mid/long range weapons (although that is usually ridiculous). One of the craziest combos I saw today was a Wasp with Smoky. The guy was on the other team, but I felt so bad for him I wrote an advice for him in the chat, sacrificing my tank while I wrote it. That said, I think for this map, you can pretty much pick whatever you like. Go with whatever you like most. The people who are crack addicts do best. :)

I think you need to provide more information. Thunder/Smoky/Railgun/Shaft and Isida/Firebird/Freeze are completely different. One group is long range and one is short range. Which play style do you prefer?

I think the only practical solution is for you to lean how to figure out these situations right away and look for another battle.

But M2 Freeze is insignificantly better than M1 Freeze. No one will feel the difference, I think. Freeze: M0 to M1: 32% better, M1 to M2: 13% better. You might as well save your crystals.

Both are 17% better than their M1 version. I am going to say this: If you are skilled with using the Railgun, aim well and know how to hide, definitely go with the Railgun. Protection is not a big deal to you. If you are bad at aiming, and you sit there like a sitting duck while everyone pounds at you, go with the Hornet, or even save your money! :)

That's true for short/medium range, so you can't really compare them. You need to compare Smoky with Thunder, and, if you do, Smoky sucks.
