Hooray! You get to catch that one Gold Box hacker doing nothing useful in battle with that potential hacker-spying drone that Tanki may or may not even implement! Enjoy the moment for what it's worth, because you got to prepare for many more painful beatings from those tankers with Supplies AND Drones wrecking the battlefield.

So I decided to try out the Matchmaking feature for CTF. First match I got placed in was a Wintry Aleksandrovsk match with at least 3-4 players on both teams. A couple more players got placed on both teams, although they ended up leaving, so for the majority of the match, the 3-4 players on both teams actively played for the objective, which was a refreshing change of pace after playing in chaotic 10vs10 battles. While my team of 4 players were able win the match 4-0, the opposing team also fought hard despite their loss. And they actually had generous rewards for their work, as depicted in the below screenshot: Thus far, I find these reward mechanics as a bright spot of the update. Now I can understand why people are gonna RAEG, since non-Pro battles are gone and you HAVE TO use the Matchmaker to be placed in those types of battles. Also, it sucks that you can no longer get your daily dose of gameplay solely from your favorite maps. Having been blessed by the freedom of choosing what non-Pro battles to play in, the community will definitely be pushing back for a while. Additionally, I expect players leaving the battle seconds after joining it because they generally don't like playing the map OR they don't like the team they are given. Clans are certainly going to be feeling sore now that clan members can no longer just swarm into fresh battles and hijack the flow of battle to their personal benefits. I mean, man, I've seen enough battles with assorted clan members beating the other team to kingdom come. Those are my thoughts for now. Let's see if things work out in the next few weeks.

Here's my attempt to comprehend what we're supposed to do in the TO War event: All in all, after purchasing a faction paint, just play Tanki Online as you normally would, amounting kills and staying alive for the battle objectives.

Seems like an Augmented Tanki Online experience to me. During TO War, the game will look the same as it does now. However, the performance of players of each faction will be recorded and factored into the TO War website. Basically, TO War is a rebranded Crazy Kills Giveaway where participants organize into 4 factions and try to outperform the other in kills and K/D ratios.

Would be a bit weird seeing two players of the same faction fighting each other on opposite teams...

Dem devs sure want to give players another excuse to keep spending money on containers, don't they? They REALLY want to tease our nostalgia by putting dem old-school stuff we liked into containers for people to buy, don't they? For me, ever since the Paint Separation Update, Legacy Modules have been priceless artifacts of players' time over the years. The minute those modules are in containers, suddenly those artifacts are now obtainable commodities hidden behind hundreds of thousands of containers. So much for respect for investing time in the game.

In the old days, paints came with their own protection levels (i.e. Prodigi had 46% Railgun protection). In order to have Prodigi's 46% Railgun protection in-battle, you would have to wear the Prodigi paint in that battle. Back then, you could not mix and match paints and protections, and if you wanted to wear the Holiday paint in battle, you'd have to settle with the Holiday paint's lack of protection whatsoever. With the release of the Paint Separation Update alongside the Modules Update, the devs separated paints from their protections, labeling paint protections as "Legacy Modules". These days, paints no longer come with protections. If you wanted more Legacy Modules, you can't get them anymore, and only those players who bought the paints with protections before the update have these Legacy Modules.

Actually, according to the Tanki Wiki Paints page, ten inexpensive Garage paints (including Red) cannot be won from a container. This is evidenced by the fact that while many Garage paints have either a blue marker or a purple marker (for Frost and Golden Star), Red has no marker whatsoever. You can have a look at it here.

This week, I got some ordinary container rewards: 125 pieces of Speed Boost 125 pieces of Double Damage 125 pieces of Double Armour Personally, extra Speed Boost is rather meh for me, but at least I have some spare DD and DA.

Even if all random golds are black golds, only few will still win. Of course, that won't stop the pileups, which gives 90% more emptiness than any gold rewards.
