    I *suspected* that the ill-advised CLAN update might have screwed the servers for a WHOLE LOT OF PLAYERS. Standalone client is connecting me to the RU servers intermittently - like shark's teeth on the networking display. This is not lag in the true sense, just a VERY BADLY PACKETED connection, flipping up or down by 40 to 50 FPS on the Standalone and 20 to 40 FPS on the internet connection. Enabling Adaptive FPS drops me to *14 FPS* (very very not good). Have you ruined Tanki for everyone or just some of us?

    Well, then, it's not just ME getting the jerky play. --- The connection is PULSING between 60 FPS and ZERO FPS, so that the battle is played in JERKY STEPS about 1 or 2 seconds in length. This is occurring with the Standalone Client on RU2 in particular. The same thing is happening with the HTTP connection, except that the Frames per Second constantly jumps back and forth between 25 and 45 FPS. Playable, but not ideal. I'm trying to tweak the settings but no joy so far. Enabling adaptive FPS drops FPS to 12 to 14. So forget that. Did they manage to break the client when adding the superfluous CLAN option to the taskbar??

    What is this NEW PROBLEM affecting the RU servers since yesterday? The connection is PULSING between 60 FPS and ZERO FPS, so that the battle is played in JERKY STEPS about 1 or 2 seconds in length. This is occurring with the Standalone Client on RU2 in particular. Did you change the parameters so that we have to re-download the newest version of the client? or is the server completely malfunctioning for some connections??     I tolerated the "F5 solution" but it was still knocking me out of battles 10 to 20 times a day. This is what the CLIENT was supposed to fix, and now, at least for a few dozen users like me, it is just as bad either way. If I thought everyone was having the problems I'm having -- with no fault on my end at all -- I might agree with him: shut it down til it works right.

    Well, mine is crashing 20 times a day with the Downloadable Client, and if Tanki cannot identify and fix the server problems, there;s no reason for me to keep playing. I'll give them until New year's and then I quit. There is no sense supporting a site that can't keep its connections.
  6. Tweaking garage December 29, 2016? Downloadable Client is not properly loading Garage. Latest flaw in a ridiculously over-patched and shoddy system. I've gone through the problems of the past : stupid Shaft misaiming, stupid mouse controls, stupid battle ending alarms...but when I can't stay in a battle for more than 5 minutes, or DIE when I enter it, it is your server programming that really sucks the mop. Tueday is the last day I will tolerate it...otherwise, it's time to let you sink in the mud.
  7. Yes, especially if it shows users LEAVING TANKI, rather than LEAVING BATTLES, which is what I have to do when it locks up! :angry:

  9. Worse, the client is now LOCKING UP and F5 doesn't work. Half the time, you cannot even close the window! (Close Program with the Program Manager)

    Yes. and reinstalling the client does not do a danged thing except waste our time. At least 40 of my "deaths" have been due to this "lockup" which occasionally requires me to open Program Manager to close the Tanki program -- cannot close the window!
  11. 29th of december (last day is 28th to 29th) There are only 7 days to the contest. 21-22 22-23 23-24 24-25 (today til 4 PM EST , 5 PM CST) 26-27 27-28 28-29 Since we are already on the 4th day, I'm puzzled by the list running so late...

  13. The advantage to the long missions s that even if you leave a battle (raiders), you get some credit for your kills/score. But they are not worth it from an earnings-per-day standpoint for that Daily Mission that is not available.
  14. According to the FAQ, your 500 earns you 5 golds. Making the 1000 sets a "new high" and you get another 5 (total of 10) and the module. Once you have made 1000, the only reason to make 500 each day is a chance at the Striker. You will have topped out your Gold Boxes.

  17. It seems very clear to me. It's ANY DAY (4 am EST to 4 am EST) to get the Gold Boxes Its EVERY DAY that you get the requisite number of kills (500) to be in the Striker drawing - multiple wins will occur if you get a new high number of kills, but no rollover, one prize in one day -- Example: you get 250 and 3 gold boxes, if the next day you get 500 or 1000, you get the "difference" in Boxes -- lower scores earn nothing, other than a chance in the drawing whenever you have 500 in a day. I think a lot of people have missed the ===NON PRO BATTLE=== stipulation. I had 500 the "second" day but 300 were Pro Battles.

  19. TONE DOWN THE VOLUME ON STRIKER! I can't hear any of the other tanks firing, and I can barely hear damage being done to me! On the brighter side, it is a lot easier to dodge those missiles than I thought it would be. :)

    What's the deal now with the 1500 Supply Kits -- first they got moved to the Shop ($$$ only) and now they aren't there either. Are you admitting the mistake and making them available for Crystals again? Or have you phased it out, effectively killing it with the move to purchase only? Goofier and goofier... Oh, I see it is still there. I thought that was the old first product kit.
  22. Looking today at the "Thug Clan" battles: Raiders in Brest, Rio, and Slylark. Whoever thought playing organized groups against random teams was fair really had their heads up their butts. Everytime i see a team leading a battle, the losing team leaves and here come the raiders and mults: they stack the enemy team with drones and easily "come back" to win. Sad, sad, sad that the devs think it's the kind of experience that will keep new players. The only comeuppances are when the raiders are not quite as tough as they thought, and lose anyway. But this only happens when there are powerful players who don't just leave when their weak teamies fold like napkins.
  23. They don't. You can send in scads of proof, and about 1 in 50 gets accepted...for a slap on the wrist : a 1 day ban. Ludricrous, isn't it? You don't have to believe me, just send some in and look at the results pages.
  24. Well, it seems almost certain that the new system designed by the devs has been co-opted by the mults and raiders. I'm not sure what part of their arcane "Battle" program has proven to be ridiculously easy to manipulate -- the whole concept to me seems stupid and designed to ruin the play of *capable* individual players who know what battles they want to play, know how to rate teammates, and know how to avoid being raided (for the most part). MORE THAN 80% of CP battles are being ruined: a team will play to a sizable lead, then suddenly their ranks are full of incompetents, mults, or trolls and the opposing team rapidly gains the upper hand. I have seen it happen 100 times in the last 2 days, so I know the devs could see it...if they weren't busy building the next counterproductive update. The only change that made any sense was to block "dreamers" from being carried into the next battle. (Continue button) I am running up a good score, but I've only FINISHED half of my battles: when I am going great guns, killing enemies and capturing points --- only to find that the rest of my team is being beaten or not even participating. :angry: ...I leave.
