    Well, that's pretty goofy. Instead of seeing that an Isida has Needle on (without any stupid onscreen clicking...who does that in a battle??), I now have to guess what level of protection he has from my Shaft. A fine move to eliminate an advantage a skilled player had when analyzing enemies. What a crock.
  3. Nobody could complain. The battle chat can get lagged by as much as 3 minutes when this happens. I just got used to leaving the battles when stuff stopped working. Two battles and I just left the game completely. Not exactly a showcase for the new players to encounter...

The biggest problems did not occur after July 11, but after July 12, so it had to be a result of the "repairs" to the server system. 1) battles do not update from the server view 2) incorrect number of players shown in server view 3) IMPOSSIBLE to join some battles on the busy servers: it starts to join but never completes I mean, thanks for the Premium Membership, but that's pretty useless if the servers won't let me into battles -- that should be "JOB ONE."
  5. Well, that's not happening. :mellow: Still takes forever in some battles, no time at all in others. Evidently this idea was not implemented fully, as sometimes in battle I see the battle continuing (long row of equipment), and sometimes the tank appearance still shows up in the "changing" window.

    Old glitch from last year. They worked on it, never fixed it, just diminished its occurrence. Not likely. Weird things happen when the gold drops and everybody starts climbing. I've seen it miss everybody and reach the ground. The latest changes to the garage just make it more annoying when you try to change weapons in a battle. If it takes NINETY SECONDS for the garage to open, something is seriously wrong. I have suggested that the player be "decoupled" from the battle but apparently that would mean taking too long to get back in. When it takes that long to open the garage, I just leave for the day -- no sense fighting poor programming.

    What is the link to Tech Support? I find numerous referrals to it, but no one posts a link. In the past, I wrote e-mails directly, but there may be some feature I am overlooking. Two problems continued to drag on since the June update: - credit for missions in Rio (if they didn't get counted, why not just stop issuing those missions?) - lost visible Profile numbers on the right side of the Rank/Rating bar (you can still get to your Profile by clicking anywhere on the bar, but the numbers are gone)

    To paraphrase Edmund Burke: "All that is necessary for the triumph of thug Tanki players is for the devs to do nothing." Never have, never will. Did get some lip service once about stopping mults. Again, they don't care. It takes a real uproar (like the flying cheats in 2015) before they accept that there is a problem...usually one they created.

    WEAPON CHANGES IN BATTLE There was already a problem: it took an inordinate amount of time to enter and leave the garage in a battle, roughly 5 times as long as when outside a battle. It had improved somewhat, but then the "divided" garage made it worse, and now the "upgraded garage" takes so long to load that if there is less than 2 minutes left in a battle, you might as well forget about it. :(
  10. It popped up recently in Madness. Someone recently tweaked the program there...conveniently forgetting that we make a lot of free-falls, and sometimes land on other tanks. My guess is that they were working on a "map glitch" and forgot to go back to the updated (anti-hack) mode that kills us less. I mean, we can see the maps breaking down every day: large black shapes instead of the normal scenery. There were 2 yesterday on RU3 Madness.

    The d*mn "AIM UP IN THE AIR" glitch is back with a vengeance, so somebody pooched the programming AGAIN. :angry: At least 4 times every battle, I go to shoot and the turret goes straight up. By the time I reload, the target is wary.

    Sure. He was only "playing up" because he got lots of points when his TEAM won big: he doesn't have to have a good score! I had a 1.24 until February, when I started averaging 2.5 for my D/L (hint: lots and lots of easy kills and nothing else). Before that I was mostly playing Pro Battles to get crystals for upgrades.

    I knew what I was going to do and I was ready. I looked around and started heading for my goal. But I felt my strength ebbing away. I ran quickly to one side, only to find that now there were TWO shadowy figures behind me, slowing me down and sapping my strength. Then I died. Wrong battle. Wrong hull. Wrong paint. Damn Freezes and Isidas. ;)

    Strategy: What am I Doing Wrong?

    It is extraordinarily easy to buy a strong hull, a strong turret, and a strong paint. Put them together with a few hundred thousand crystals and you have a million-crystal wonder that can defeat other tanks with ease. But you still lose. Why? Because you don't learn how to use that tank. You count on brute power to kill more tanks than you lose. The first time you face an equal opponent, he mops up the battleground with you. I am really pleased when I face a tanker who doesn't know where he can get shot from, what paint works against what opponents, and when his teammates are a weak link that he'll have to cover. He can kill me if he gets the chance, so I don't give him a chance. - An Isida kills me twice, then tries again when I'm wearing Irbis paint. Surprise. I blast him while he's sputtering. - A railgun keeps popping out and shooting me. Oops. He popped out twice from the same place. Dead. - A thunder blasts me, and hides behind a wall on Monte Carlo. He forgot there's a hole in that wall. I always try to learn from a loss. Unfortunately, I can't always stop and share with my teammates. - We have a won game on CP. I'm about to shoot our opponent with my Shaft and my teammate (who has no chance to kill the guy) steps right into my line of fire -- we both get killed and lose the battle. - A Titan is practically unkillable because he has an Isida behind him. I go behind him and kill the Isida. Meanwhile my teamies have shot the Titan futilely and been killed, and we lose by one flag. - We have a 20-kill lead in TDM with 2 minutes to play, but raiders are killing us faster than we're killing them. I put my tank on Pause and wait for time to expire. One of my 5 teammates *quits* and the other 4 get killed 30 times in 2 minutes and we lose. We didn't have to keep playing. It's not always your fault when you lose. But do you really want to be a loser when you can be a smart winner??

Its a compendium of many problems, all of which result in a lost connection, which the server exacerbates by continuing to send outdated data, while your graphic card tries to make some sense out of it (and freezes or locks up). My PC comes perilously close to crashing now, whenever this glitch is in play. I manually unhook my wifi to stop the crapola, then I can close the Flash Player window. ONE error I can see is that with the last update to Flash Player, the connect speed fluctuates wildly along with the CPU cycles. Someone may have taken a shortcut on the patch. :(
  16. Its the servers. OMG how clear do we have to make it to these guys??? REDUCE THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS OR FIX THE SERVERS TO ACCOMMODATE THEM. Or we can find a very quick way to "fix" Tanki...and you will have to find new jobs when we are all gone.

Well, the latest permutation of the server problem is a lock-up that also seizes up your computer by sending corrupted data in one long stream that overwhelms the graphic card. :huh: Today, my screen froze during a shootout and instead of coming back, it held that battle, occasionally flickering with new data, until I had to forcibly disconnect my wifi. :angry: My browser was just locked up tight. After losing continuity, the server continued to send garbage data through the connection for more than 30 seconds, by which time I had had enough. It seems like Tanki never runs out of ways to make us want to stop playing and go do something else.
  18. Well, duh...can't you hear your hard drive and fan cranking up when the server is misaligned? It's trying to piece together the signal over and over, hundreds of times a second. That was what tipped us off to the fact that the servers were crapping out on multiple connections in the battles.It's not his PC, because mine does it too when the glitch strikes. Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's not happening...
  19. After being kicked out of a server (RU3, RU4, EN2) FIVE TIMES in FIVE HOURS, I just stopped playing. I will play just long enough to get a daily mission,,,and no longer... until the situation with the servers has been properly resolved. :angry: It is disgusting to be winning a battle and get knocked out with less than a minute to play.
  20. So the solution is to go play battles you don't want to play, with people you don't want to play against? How about we play on another site? :blink: Why not just decrease the allowable players on the busiest servers?? But of course, the problems still happen when there is no latency or crowded servers...they are just DIFFERENT PROBLEMS that probably have nothing to do with the habits of the players, or anything they can choose to change. It may be hard to admit, but all these things are controllable by the programmers....once they acknowledge that it is something they have to fix.
  21. It is really ridiculous to have such problems at night (US time) when there are only a few thousand players on the servers. You select a battle and it takes TWO OR THREE MINUTES to enter, assuming you get in at all. And if you try to change equipment in battle, it may just take 45 to 60 seconds just for the garage to open! We have no way to predict when these stupid server problems are going to occur. It is completely random and completely aggravating! When it gets really busy, these problems go away and are replaced by bigger problems (e.g. crashing battles completely, server disconnects, intermittent huge ping). If your server guys made some sort of overhaul in the last month, maybe you can see about *yanking that ship owp*...I suspect, however, the culprit is the constant tracking for the daily missions, since these glitches started when that new system was installed.
  22. There's a new Shaft bug involved in lagging/frame rate : trying to aim results in involuntary firing (a snap shot or arcade shot). The spacebar should not initiate firing until it is released -- the glitch reads a release when none is made. :(
  23. Really REALLY bad today on RU4 : I lost server connections on *FIVE* battles out of 20 played. No warning, no ping, just "Server Connection Closed" and I'm out of the battle fund. :angry: Maybe we should call the "Green Harbinger of Poverty"... If I hadn't *lucked into* getting two Gold Boxes (I get about 1 per month), I would have been totally shorted on crystals! I just happened to be on two battles with less than 6 people to try for the box, and it fell within sight.
  24. I thought that might be an idea, but the problem is that it could force you to spend crystals if more than one mission has a reward you can't use, or something you don't want to do. For example, I only did 1 of 3 one day because there were two missions with CP and one with 9999 kills (you can't do those in 1 day). I changed the big one to something easy and one CP to something else. But one I left to change until the following day.
