Campus - Video (BE GENTLE. I have NO video editing software and the TTT tank runs a little slow and a little odd, doesn't handle great.) Corporate campus map set into a small valley. Contains wide open spaces and two primary levels of play plus elevated positions. Urban aspects of the map are split into tight spaces and large open plaza type spaces. The center map area is rolling hill with the edges rocky and mountainous terrain. Subterranean parking lots have three entrance/exits and the upper ones offer immediate access to the campus and the natural terrain. The map is large and the playing area, while some parts not fully accessible in terms of distance, is large. Notes Thoughts

Juggernaut is deathmatch, and I don't drug. That's the LAST PLACE I want to be. I do have to say that the containers were tempting mind you, but yeah, no. Besides, if I ever became the Juggernaut, I have never played with rail or stryker, well, I've done so once or twice on Test, but I have no skills with those, not much point.

So, thoughts on game play with Shaft as of late. First off, This WAR has been abysmal. Can't keep that 1.0 K/D it seems, pissing me off. That said, I played using about 6 supplies last night. It was in vain, trying to take a third place spot for a mission. I had picked up a flag that someone lost near the base and it put me in 4th, decided to go all in, and, head hung very low, I drugged. I used a heal up x2, shield, double damage, and another battle I was stupid and forgot I wasn't in the same one and used a heal up and DD again there. Long story short, I made 4th, ARRRGGG. Point is though, while I was lit up and HEALING, keyword, healing, game play was so vastly different I almost couldn't adapt. The double damage took me from 4 shot arcades that likely would get healed up on the third strike to 2nd hit and their dead. Any scoped shot, especially with OD on, was a death sentence for the target. It felt like shaft again. My only complaint still, for anyone, drugger or not, is that infernal draw down on on damage for arcade shots after like ten feet from your tank (3 meters for the rest of the world). I know that's an exaggeration, but you get the point. That damage, even with DD, is pathetic.

I have watched people do this, it's not a joke. Well, it is in terms of the gameplay and the fallacy of it, but within the confines of the current system, which I agree should not be, it pretty damn creative if you ask me.

One, not "complaining". Stating a fact. The game is nearly unplayable WITHOUT drugs. Not harder, not VERY challenging, it's nearly impossible these last few months to do better than 1.2 with an M4 Shaft and M4 Hornet, and that's including the dang OD. IT was magic the first week or two, and then people I guess got wise or something, but hard to get shots down range when in OD, and when you do, they're all healed up anyways it seems, so I just left a wounded punk for a team mate to come and steal my kill. Two, I do play rugby and assault. Everybody knows that Shaft is nearly useless in Deathmatch without a ton of drugging too, and you had better sport and Mammy to go with it. As for drugging well, like I said, I'm not complaining. I did that for a very long time with a bunch of others, that it would appear have since left the game. A question was posed, and I gave my answer, that being what is the state of tanki online. The simple fact is what I said, it's Druggie Online, or expect disappointment. I have dignity and some pride, I don't drug. I hate magic fairy powers spiking units into new levels of capability. It's a armored combat game, it shouldn't be a mario cart with mushrooms that make your tank "super",

Well, lets be clear, I sport an M4 Shaft. 3300 max damage listed, but, for the most part, I score EXACTLY 1443 it seems nearly all the time, full charge. The raw numbers tell one story, the reality another. Magnum does many more times damage because it can wipe out a group of tanks and it can do it on the run. Technically speaking, yeah, Shaft on paper, 3300, looks great, but for whatever reason, I cannot recall the last time I scored that, and when I do score above, I NEVER, EVER get above 2900, EVER. Never, ever... ever, ever, ever. I cannot recall the last time I hit anyone for over 3000 except when I roll over a DD box on occasion. I regularly see Magnums pull up and mid range a lobbing plop and take out a couple tanks (yeah yeah, vary levels of health, but, I get one shot, parked exposed, they get to be mobile and whack lots of people at once). Slower rate of fire, except with the alt. I dunno what your set up is, but you are scoring HIGHER on average shots than I am on a direct hit, and that makes no sense to me, but again, that's Magnums in the game. Shafts Thump targets and they're getting these crumby 1443pt shots on target, explain this to me? And yours is getting 1800? My alt is the triple shot, so it only drops damage in arcade. I always suspected that Magnums were doing more than me, and you just proved it. How on earth is that thing getting 1800s and I'm getting 1400s? M4 Shaft! 1400s! Beyond the base data too, the is always the Magnum with DA in a Medium hull and protection that's point blanking tanks in their own base. Heal up and go, tah dah. It's ridiculous, but I won't harp on that, your point is base damage, and I'm telling you, I dunno how or why, but you guys in Magnums do more than Shafts. Again, I should point out, I DO NOT DRUG, so whenever I speak of game play, I speak from raw base stats.

This is not going to be a rant about "bad drug," that's been done many times, by me especially. Point is, there is nothing left of the game EXCEPT to drug now. Drugs are not just an advantage, they are the norm. Even my Hornet overdrive is not enough sometimes to defeat medium hulls it seems, even at full charge, so something is broken in Tanki now. I've watched a Viking/Rico waltz into my base and literally HANG OUT by falling supplies while lit up with all three drugs, spawn camp, take on spawners that spawned father away, eat the local drugs, and use their heal ups to sustain a 3 MINUTES onslaught in OUR base. I want to you to stop and think about that. Lit up, building overdrive, using heal ups and the ones falling in our base, and lasted 3 MINUTES. It was literally the teams objective after a minute and a half to regroup and focus on this one unit to FINALLY kill it. 8 on 8, so 8 on 1, and still could not kill the Son of A Bits. Tanki is broken. Drugs are no longer a advantage, they are necessary, period. Cool downs are too short, drones enhance them, and overdrives can turn a DD into a full auto nightmare. The game, especially at higher levels now, moves too quickly for anything other than shoot and scoot. There is no thinking beyond what is in front of you, because everything is moving so quick you can't plan, only group and bum rush. I see people talk about "coordinated and smart play" but the truth is, roving gangs of three or more on all drugs is not exactly exquisite strategy by any measure. Drunken sailors can do that all night in a bar district and the effect would resemble a round of matchmaking. No turret turning Viking/Thunders and Ricos roll across the game with impunity. Titans with izzies bring up the rear, it's so predictable it's boring now. They have all three on, they battle to the enemy base, build up their ODs, Titan kicks in the shield, the others fire up the Viking OD, blast their way in and out, and heal up on the way, with one of the izzies in tow, rinse, and repeat. It's so formulaic it's enough to make you want to yawn. They need to level off and add tools to change up strategy and game play, not just make things hit harder and go faster.

If you mean that I should DD up, again, I forget, I'm one of the few, the proud, the non-druggers. Yes, a DD would go a long way in equalizing, I know this because if I pick up a box (sometimes I even HAVE TO for missions), suddenly I'm kicking some severe arse for a minute. DD and triple arcade is a beautiful thing when chasing down flag and ball carriers too. To the point though, I meant no DA or protection or drone for the target you are shooting at, just in case that was your question.

So be it, Arty is supposed to deal lots of damage. I'M COOL with Magnum, IF IT PLAYED like it SHOULD. Everyone cries like little weenie puppies about Shafts and how TERRIBLE they are, scourge of the battlefield! I have to PARK my tank, and full charge, in hopes of hitting a medium hull with no DA AND no protection module AND no drone if ever even want to come close to being as dangerous as everyone says they are. Magnums? Meh, do like what? Twice or three times the damage, and they just run around, none stop, and somehow, people are okay with this? I'll never understand people. "Shafts should be NERFED," but ask about Magnums and people are like "oh, yeah, they're alright." The retar...., no can't say it, people get butt hurt around here. Point is, Yes, it needs to act like artillery, and yes, it's seemingly forgotten by most players while shafts and have to park and wave laser beams around. I'm gonna stop, or I'll get on my soap box.
-
Dude, Arty doesn't roll and goal. Arty is the big gun, it has to be srt up and readied. They should have done a situation where the charge bar disappears the moment the vehicles moves, can't move for at least 5 seconds after firing, etc. That would have made sense. No, we have supposed artillery running around with double speeds on. IT IS STUPID
-
Complete nerf, like out of the game nerf? Magnum. Artillery shouldn't be able to shoot AND move.
-
Actually that is huge, even with Hornet, you're giving 30% protection up basically to any foe, at all times, OD or not, even no DA or module. I have a REALLY hard time with Light Caps.
-
I've tried it, it does "feel" different. That said, haven't played enough regularly to say too slow or much faster, but I will say, definitely playable. On the note of Flash going away, they had better be optimizing, 2020 is fast approaching. No time for drones and surprises, especially if the new stuff hasn't been optimized yet for HTML 5 either. For whatever reason, to me, it did seem like it had slighter richer color, which I know seems odd, there really should be a difference, but still, the "move" and flow, seems slighter better.
-
Well, not everyone get up and say something all at once, that would be too much. Fine, gonna make a request later, I'll post the link to it when done.

Okay, so, Shafters, unite! (???) So, this is the deal. Shafts and camping. Everyone else can kiss it, we all know Shafts are for camping as much as running around (and really, a lot of running to new campsites, but anyways). something evil lurks in Tanki that needs to be addressed, and it's about Shafts, and it needs to be fixed. "Inactivity". So I'll paint a picture. Large map, lots of open space, and a team that can actually take the fight to the enemy. Good, right? Shafts setup and take the important shots to clear the way to the Flag, awesome. Your perch is so good you don't need to move. You scope, seek, fire, repeat. Here is the problem. You are killing it, about 2 minutes or so into a battle, lovely K/D (especially the D, at ZERO), and "Disconnected", just like that, You are in 2nd place, on the WINNING team. Okay, so less complaining and more explaining. The mult system seeks to find idle players, and after perusing the help and issue ticket site, its all about moving and turning the turret. "So Fog, what's your point, you turn your turret, or at least I HOPE YOU DO?" Yes, BUT, I tend to sit very still when not in scope to attract less attention. So if I turn my turret, which I DO, in scope, what's up? Simple, I'm thinking the code doesn't take into account turret movement in scope. I've been ejected now from like 5 battles now if I forget to move a little between shots. I think Tanki needs to modify the mult code for Shafts, and take into account scope and movement, or maybe just scope, where I have played in games where I have trained a shot on a point for up to a minute many times waiting for my "oh so predictable flag runner" to come shooting out of there ever constant exit with the flag so I can pop the first pursuer that gives chase. We need a way for in scope to somehow be taken into account. Now, I not proposing we simply exclude shafts from the list, that would simply mean every one would get shafts and drop them in, brick the spacebar, I get that but at least give the in scope turret movement value against the idle count. In order to do this though, I'd make a post and ticket on the help/ticket site, and I had lots of people to rally around it. So, first, anyone have this issue too, and, second, who would jump in and up vote such a thing?

I'd take the keys from him, he's in no state to drive one, he can barely not kill people driving the little truck he has.

Rugby is boring. 5 tanks from each team basically play "deathmatch" with the ball, and the last person standing from the onslaught goes limping into the base to score, complete drug fest as the walls of tanks try to sustain. I even made a huge joke about tanki becoming some sort of online rugby about 2 years before they made the Rugby mode. I was pretty proud of that, and I had nothing good to say about it, and it ended up coming true. Deathmatch by its very name implies everyone killing everyone, all the time, It's boring. Deathmatch would be okay if you die and you're out, then real strategy is involved, but it's all heavys with all three drugs a drone and Twins mounted on top. "Oh no, I'm about to die, heal up, tah dah." It's stupid.
-
Assault lends itself to camping if you have a medium or large map and you can cover lots of ground, the path ways, etc. Rugby is a tough sell, but I can over watch in Rugby too, like in Assault. That said, I have to be careful, lest my K/d take a beating, and when I do it right, it's generally low scoring, but decent K/D. I don't like Rugby in general, and I HATE death match in all forms.

Lots of discord teams out there, that what most use, except buyer club and clans, then they usually use a local client setup, more stable, but trust me, that's what they're doing. I love trolling "avengers" when they are on big maps. Spend lots of time trying to get back over just to kill me after I sniped them 3 times. I get a good laugh out of that, especially when I see them coming and set up for a little brawl where I win, and then troll them some more. You can almost hear them through screen as the insult you back. Good times.... yeah.......... good times. (cracks a beer)

Again, tactics, I'm a camper. I use shaft in it's purposed role. I wait and look for the biggest impact I can have for my teams chances to execute whatever the game is, cap flag, assault, score a goal, or stop the enemy from doing those things. Really and truly, you claim to have seen one of these things "ruling the battle fields," to that I say tactic HAS to be then TEAM play, four players, in touch, supporting that Hornet in the front line, PERIOD. There is NO OTHER WAY. DD Thunder all up on your s#!T and it's over, PERIOD, done, no conversation, no more splitting hairs about tactics. That Shaft Hornet had people either running flank for them, or part of line moving forward. The ONLY other circumstance that could impact play, the other team was in complete disarray, with poor players, and it was easy to hang in front and use shaft at mid range and then close because the opposition only shot at things right in front of its face. There are no magic bullets here. Hornet is not built for slug fests, and shafts are not built for it either. They can do it, but carefully, and just for a little bit. You keep it up and opposition will simply see you coming, know you want to try to go 3 rounds with them, and they're gonna take you up on the offer and kick your a**.
-
Buy lots and lots of heal up and some drone that increases survivability, you're gonna need it. Hornets running around maps in shafts aren't known for "dominating" as you say, so whoever that was, they were "paying to win," rest assured of that. Oh, and every maxed protection module you can imagine, they're gonna be visiting the garage every game they play.
-
I will eventually max out all the junk I have now, and crystals will pile up, and that's the next turret I thought about buying, just to try it out. Wanted to get cyclone for it and watch the rockets go,go,go.

Added the "calculator" (just look, don't ask, I don't make this stuff, I'm just documenting it). Big thanks to @Pyre for this gem of a find. Sometimes its good to laugh.
