    Myths and rumours answered

What exactly do the XT items have that M3 items don't? I guess I'm missing something, because from what I can tell it's just cosmetic.

    A guide to Hammer

They're just not my cup of tea, the real beauty of Tanki is you don't take one person's advice on something. You can try it all you want, don't let my guide control your decision. I'll ask that you experiment with it should you purchase it, tell me what you think. And thank you for the feedback, much appreciated.

    Let's Discuss Firebird!

Just think like a Pyro would in TF2": Don't take obvious routes, never charge into a group of enemies. Also, tunnels are your best friends because they can't maneuver out of range.
  4. It's only boring if you make it boring. Heavy hulls are recommended but not required, I use Vulcan-Hornet and have loads of fun. And it is a bit OP, I agree there.
  5. Care to elaborate? To my knowledge they're just fancy M3 versions of hulls and turrets.

    Let's Discuss Firebird!

I find Viking works fine, I have no issues with it. You just have to pay close attention and set up ambushes to compensate for your lack of speed.

    A guide to Shaft

The one I created or another one? I took inspiration from the server shutting down for a server update and having nothing else to do.

    Let's Discuss Skins!

Am I the only one who isn't pants-on-head insane over these things? They're just novelty items, much like TF2's Proof of purchase hat. I'd have more interest if they had something special about them other than a cool design.

    A guide to Shaft

It's some "professional" thing that "pros" do. Or you could just play the game like you normally do. Y'know, cover an area and zoom in when you see the enemy. There is no right or wrong way to go about Shaft, just how often you like to die.

    A guide to Shaft

Same thing as Hornet, but more fragile and prone to flipping.

    A guide to Shaft

Welcome back, please, wipe your feet and take off your coat. This guide we will discuss the use of Shaft, an old favorite of mine. Some things to consider before purchasing Shaft: Do you enjoy being mocked and pushed around? Do you enjoy being seen as a noob by those you kill? Do you enjoy staying in one place? If any of these things apply to you, this turret will be your holy grail. Basic idea: Stay in one place and fire at weak or key targets. Occasionally move around to reposition. Let go of your inhibitions and worries. Also remember SAD. Screw About and Die. For one, never get anywhere near the enemy base. That is your most vulnerable position, but can be rewarding if they are complete noobs or just outnumbered and preoccupied. Secondly, don't try firing while at close range with heavy hulls. As a final note, the laser can be used for signals when playing with friends. My friends and I set up a system for attack signaling by hiding the leaser behind a pole or similar object and flashing it a few times based on the message. This will not really work in basic team matches because of a lack of common knowledge of what the signals mean. I would recommend having skype to communicate with your friends. As far as paints go, Freeze protection is your best friend. Though it won't do much, you have enough time to type out "FREEZE IN THE BASE, HELP!" before your untimely demise. For combos, heavy hulls are recommended but not forced. I find Hornet to be a fine hull, quick enough to reposition while under fire and small enough to be hard to spot. Here I will discuss them based on personal experience: Wasp-Shaft: Perfect for nothing, it has no real use other than a distraction. Hornet-Shaft: While still prone to flipping, this one will let you survive and reposition after firing. I would NOT recommend it for duels with enemy Shafts. You die in one fully-charged shot, or partially based on how upgraded the Shaft is. Hunter-Shaft: Much like with Vulcan this is a fine starter combo, get used to it and if you feel like it's too slow, go for Wasp. If it's too weak go for Titan or Mammoth. Viking-Shaft: Equilibrium. Dictator-Shaft: I feel like this one is underrated, it works fine but you have to employ the "peek out" technique. Titan-Shaft: This is a lukewarm combo, it serves a few purposes. You could always camp, but I found this to be a fine supporter, should you have a spare Isida willing to follow you. Mammoth-Shaft: You are a turret mount. 'Nuff said. Having little experience in hiding the laser, I cannot help you there. But be sure to check out other guides, and don't solely rely upon me. When you were a nub...

I had no idea Smoky had a critical chance, and I discovered it did when playing against one and wondering "Why do I keep short-circuting?". I also thought Railgun-Mammoth was a good combo, I still have nightmares.

Isnt tanki becoming a dating site?

While on my alt I was pestered with requests by both genders. Protip: Choose a masculine name. It will help. Gender-neutral names just mean double the requests to "be my boy/girlfriend".

    [Issue 40] Internet Bullies

Another reason they might do this is because they're truly terrible people. I'm not saying every bully is a terrible person, normally they just make cute comments about my mother and I ignore it, but some people are truly evil. With the anonymity of the internet they grow in strength, they can now do online what they could never do offline because how are they going to be caught? I worry for every child I see on the internet, including those misinformed about the security and safety of it. I hope your sister recovers from the incident. ~With regards The-Operator
  15. Ricochet. It's the one turret I can't stand. Even Freeze is more tolerable than the auto-aim turret that is Ricochet. What I mean by that is you just press space and let your bullets home in and hit everything.

    Umm... a glitch I guess?

Before the creation of the post read *** GAME VIOLATORS SECTION RULES ***
  17. For scientific purposes! I wish to see how far the community will devolve. The chat so far has reached Neanderthal-like status, and the game is currently overrun with a new species of tankers using the very interesting combo of Railgun-Hornet.
  18. You're missing the fact some of us depend on teammates, and after leaving CTF to do a DM for a mission it's just chaos. I might be the one tanker who never does DM because of this, but I feel like DM is just "SHOOT AT EVERYTHING THAT MOVES, TO HELL LOGIC OR MERCY!".

    Let's Discuss Mouse Controls!

Well, I tried it on Firefox and it's the sloppiest thing ever. No really, the whole "Your turret will turn and reach the cursor" is nice and all, but now everything feel sluggish. Like before my Shaft turned slow, sure, but at least you knew it was turning. Now there's no satisfaction, just waiting for it to catch up.
  20. Oh man, don't diss their "skill"! I mean they directly copied from some famous player, doesn't that mean they can take on anything!? Their whole life has been a lie! That combo is more overdone than no-scopes in every shooter.
  21. Not that I know of, but I don't play it enough.

    Let's Discuss Railgun!

I hate to say such things, but I'm tired of seeing Railgun-Hornet. Sure a pro uses it, but that doesn't mean YOU can do it to the same capacity. Reasons why I'm sick and tired of this combo: 1. It's overdone. Don't be like E-sporters, be unique. 2. The people who use it consider themselves superior to christ himself. You are not, you are an annoying fanboy who puts trekkies to shame. (No offence.) 3. They're daredevils who wouldn't know fighting if it bit em' in the rear transmission. They hide behind corners in your base firing a shot then spinning around like a unintellligent person., they DARE you to attack them and their mined fortress of a building. Okay, this is going to shock you: Maybe the E-sports players use OTHER combos. I mean this IS a game where you make your OWN tank and use it to have fun. In my opinion, using Railgun-Hornet is like playing Galaxian: It's skill-based don't get me wrong. But isn't there that new game "Galaga" that has all the new features? My point here is using Railgun-Hornet is about as interesting as eating your own snot. Everyone can do it, some better, some worse. Regards~ The- Amazing Hypocritcal Sarcastic -Operator

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

    If you look closely, you can see the optical scope on the very front of the turret:<a href='http://postimg.org/image/nc6ozwdmj/' target='_blank'><img src='http://s9.postimg.org/nc6ozwdmj/Screen_Shot_2015_11_15_at_6_42_19_PM.jpg' border='0' alt="Screen Shot 2015 11 15 at 6 42 19 PM" /></a>
