    Is the sound being enabled worth it?

    I personally disable it when using Twins, Gauss, or Ricochet because the sound of those turrets firing makes me want to file my ears off with a can lid.

    I can do that with stock Railgun. Titan is absurdly easy to shove people into walls with.
  5. I mean, if they're going to try and copy other games they could do it better. Like actual matchmaking, which typically involves creating a queue of players and a new battle in a random map and game mode. Or if they're going to make all the hulls in a weight class have similar health, why not give them unique attributes so one isn't objectively superior? Or if they (god forbid!) decide to make one hull able to drop a devastating bomb every ten seconds, why not globally increase the health of the hulls so that said bomb isn't instantly fatal to anyone said hull just doesn't like? It's not that they can't program or don't know how, it's that they barely put any real elbow grease into it. There's no soul to be found. And I know why, it's a flash game, but even that is going away any time now. Honestly if they want to keep playing the "we try to make things simple" card they shouldn't try to copy games that aren't simple like TF2, Paladins, Fortnite, etc. Games with better development teams who actually put some care and attention into what they make. They should make a simple flash game about small, medium, and big tanks that shoot one another with various turrets. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but imitation itself doesn't make you as good as the original creator of what you're imitating. So yes, they have every right to name drop the BFG from Doom or say they've done their homework, but I personally find it a little bit insulting when they lobotomize what was already a pretty well-done game they had made so they can shove in some new system that imitates something much better. Tanki was original, now it's just trying to become something it's not and taking away from what it had. That's not to say I don't want new content and such, I do, but not when that new content replaces an already good system and in some cases isn't even optional. Matchmaking is thankfully avoided in exchange for a monthly fee, Rugby and ASL are optional and have their fanbases, missions don't have to be completed if you have money to buy supplies and such. Viking now being completely different and not refunded because the developers drank lead poisoned vodka? No thanks! Now my account built around Viking is completely trashed. Wasps can now get pentakills for existing a short period of time and there's nothing you can do but accept the fact some Iranian tween is having a power rush over a cheap kill targeting you? No thanks, now Wasps are everywhere and heavy hulls are more or less helpless. Don't even try to say people spontaneously decided Wasp was more fun because of it's mechanics, we all know why they're so common now.

    I wasn't saying using alts doesn't take skill, I just think Railgun as a whole is a bit overrated. Yes, there's a certain rhythm to it but once you learn that and how to redirect someone's aim there's not much else.

    What about a medium-duration invisibility until you fire your turret or move onto a capture point? You could even do it when you have a flag, but it'd be kinda pointless since the flag can't turn invisible as well. If you take damage you briefly flicker back into visibility.

    Pretty much. Not even an attacker, just take the flag and run. I'm pretty sure at that speed aiming is pretty impossible. I haven't decided on what the overdrive should be yet, but I was thinking it deploys rocket boosters and flies forwards in a straight line (even through the air!) for a few miles, making it great for shooting off a ramp and into the stratosphere with the enemy flag.

    Can we stop calling it "Matchmaking"? If it were matchmaking, which is a very defined thing in all the games Tanki is trying to emulate, all the players in a battle would've been selected from a queue and placed into a new battle on a random map and game mode. This is just the existing quick play button. If it were matchmaking you wouldn't be able to join an ongoing battle where the enemy team has already won or leave an ongoing battle in some cases. Other games have matchmaking, Tanki has programmed diarrhea.

    That can be said about Wasp and Hornet as well. I personally love having multiple Hornets using their radar ability on my team.

    I kind of wish Matchmaking would consider daily missions and automatically queue for battles that make sense. When is that battle list coming to mobile again?

    This isn't really the thread for hull ideas, but I kind second a wheeled hull that's faster than Hornet and Wasp but doesn't turn on a dime like they do. That or something that can activate a secondary mode and elevate upwards to get a vantage point or peek over cover and fire at enemies.
