Yes Firebird is over powered. Has been for the better part of the year. I'm surprised Tanki hasn't reduced the damage. Not nerfed... Just reduced slightly. The afterburner damage is where it needs to be. For evidence, just look on every short and mid range map, where Firebird has long since replaced Railgun as the most used turret. This game is way out of balance in favor of Firebird.

Hammer M3 is great... Those three shots are enough to take out medium hulls like Hunter and Viking. On DD, this bad boy one-shots Wasps and Hornets. I dropped one MU into it on this weekend's sale. Best of all, NOBODY is wearing Hammer paint. Only thing you have to avoid is tanks wearing double armor.

I think Storm gets you decent Fire protection at your budget. Lots of turrets play on Polygon. Fire is most common, then Twins, then Thunder and Rail. The rest are too rare on that map to worry about.

Tanki is throwing us a bone here. This is a good thing. This isn't a Christmas or Tanker's Day, or Tanki's Birthday sale. Don't expect deep discounts or be disappointed by the 25%. The price before and after is 0% off, right? Be smart about this. Use your brain. Better yet, use the following guidelines. 1-Don't MU turrets lower than M3. Okay, maybe you can, but you are wasting crystals. If you do, don't put more than 2-3 MU steps into any one item.... it is just not worth it. 2-The 50% off speed ups is actually a VERY GOOD DEAL. Why? Do THIS ----> Micro-upgrade an item at 25% off just before you go to bed. Do NOT select the speed up option. When you wake up in the morning, the speed up price will be EVEN LOWER since you've already waited many hours, resting comfortably. THEN use the speed up...... you're effectively getting a 75% discount. 3-Don't use speed ups outside of the above scenario. This means you will only MU an item 3, maybe 4 steps in this sale. But at 25% off, that's probably as much as you want to spend anyway. 4-With only 25% discount, only MU your primary hull and turret. Don't drain your crystals upgrading equipment you rarely use.... not THIS time. Wait for a better MU discount. 5-Maybe don't MU anything. Are you saving up for a kit or your next hot hull or turret and are almost there? Don't let this sale drain your crystals or put you in danger of not being able to afford the item. Kits are the BEST deals in the game right now, and new equipment is always better for your game than MUing existing stuff. Good luck, everyone!!!

I love my Loam paint. Threw a lot of Fire MUs into it. I can almost see the confusion and frustration on the faces of Firebirds who just can't kill me...

Interesting that there is no forum topic for the Premium Account change. On a related note, the TankiX previews are looking more and more like advertising. Don't be surprised if TankiX is a pay-only game. The only accounts to transfer from TO to TX will be Premium Accounts.

When Hammer fires, it looks like a sneeze. The impact force looks like you've sneezed into your enemy's face. I love it when this knocks off Rail's aim.

This is just coincidence but I seem to be in a lot of crossfires lately. I'm dead, and the Rail afterglow forms an X where I was. I guess X marks the spot. Too bad I was on that spot. :(

Congrats.... Soon there will be two very distinct types of Gismos..... The first class will be the he M4s or near M4s like you. The rest will be barely M3 and unable to afford more than a couple of MU steps. I am feeling more and more like I don't want to reach Gismo only to be slaughtered.

I see a lot of Freeze and Isida ambushes. Fire is a good idea, but usually those guys are out in the open toasting everything in sight.

I don't have Hunter M3. I have Viking M3. I also dislike Hunter for it's skid. I may end up with Hunter M3 if Redneck kit is available in a few ranks. vs Firebird... Just outmaneuver them. Most Firebirds can't see through their own flames. Just move out of the way and suck them dry. No, it doesn't ALWAYS work, but it does often enough. Edit- Vampire_Medic (low Sergeant rank alt) just bought Vampire kit, including Isida M1. Having a blast sucking dry the inexperienced tanks and bolstering allies. I've turned the tide in several battles.

Firebird on Hunter is not bad but not the best choice. You keep Hornet's maneuverability without losing much speed. You also gain a lot in armor.

Dude, these turrets require completely different play styles. Use Rail if you like to be sneaky and hide. Use Hammer if you like being able to kill your enemies without drugging.... and if you don't want to worry about a ton of protection paints in battles. ASSUMING your enemy is in range... Hammer is the better weapon.

With stock M2, you will make it to and possibly through Brigadier. You'll HAVE to MU or buy an M3 to compete.

I suspect the MU update just killed Firebird.

Vampire_Medic is a Hornet user, which is versatile. If I buy Isida on this main account, it will be paired with M3+ Viking. Viking will keep you alive longer but you will struggle to reach enemy and friendly tanks on larger maps.

Even better plan now that MUs are crazy expensive. EDIT: dropped four MU steps into my M3 Viking on this weekend's sale. Could have done more but couldn't justify it at only 25% off. I need those crystals for M3 Ricochet in a few ranks.

Dislike. This update takes away player choice about which attribute to MU. Now we have to pay to upgrade every attribute whether we want to or not, whether or not those other attribute increases will improve our play style. Then there is the cost. Not bad at M0, but at M1 and M2 only premium players will be able to afford this as each upgrade step now costs tens of thousands of crystals. All of which is lost when you buy the next mod. And in the same update Premium Accounts now get twice as many bonus crystals. Coincidence? You do the math. Tanki just took another big step toward Pay To Win.
