Thanks! I learned the hard way... Chasing tanks invariably ends up with me dead. Usually it's the sneak behind me, but the fleeing tank usually has a goal in mind like a strategic position, supply box, running down his own drug timer, or other tactical advantage. So when the sneak doesn't get me, the fleeing tank gets what he wants, does an about face and pops me. And all I can think about is the thirty to forty seconds of play time including respawn lost during which I could have been getting my own kills. You'll be tempted to chase them, especially if you've landed a few good shots and feel like one more will get you the kill.... You don't want that easy kill going to someone else right? Wrong. It's no longer an easy kill for you. Just let em go.

They could but then they would have to balance with thunder like decreasing damage with distance and adding self damage. Otherwise it becomes OP or it becomes redundant with Thunder. I think the turrets are pretty well balanced right now with the exception of Firebird which needs a nerf at all mods, and Isida which needs a nerd at M3. I use both turrets so I don't WANT either need, yet objectively speaking these are needed to finish off the turret balancing act.

Yeah, I was definitely feeling my oats. Had this ah-ha moment when I realized I could afford the kit about a day earlier than expected. My next thought was that I could slip to the garage and back into play within a few seconds. The folks who hadn't caught the gold had some choice words for me when I spawned wearing all M1s. I actually caught another gold at a lower rank as Vanpire_Medic. Those inexperienced players weren't even aware what to do when the siren sounded. It's kinda unfair for me as an experienced tanker driving a fast tank at those levels. Now it will be even more one sided since most M0 tankers don't save their crystals and thus will be no match for the early unlock goodness of Vampire kit. Hope to see you in battle!

'Can' but usually won't.

Redneck unlocks at Marshal giving you two early unlock ranks and a third regular rank before you're forced to battle Gismos. Good times. Edit- corrected unlock rank

Hornet is still popular at General ranks. So are Vikings and Mammoths for that matter. Hunters, Titans, and Wasps are all but gone. Thunder is still used despite the NERF. Great for kill stealing and DD usage. I'm starting to see XT versions too. They look good but I'm not paying for looks.

MOVING??? You have never faced and M3 Isida up close. That red rope follows you wherever you go. Your only hope is that an ally has pity on you and comes to your rescue.

I have an idea... Let's insult the people who are providing us both the entertainment value of the game AND the means we are using right now to discuss it. SMH

Yeah, bro, we probably bought that kit within seconds of each other. I caught a gold box in a battle, bought the kit and re spawned in the same battle in the M1 form. Slaughter ensued.

Good choice. I personally alternate between Sandstone and Loam depending on what I find in maps.

I agree, and my earlier point about shafts rails and firebird is actually pretty stupid. Those tanks are coming after you no matter where you are in Polygon. Survival depends on your armor. Not saying a light hull is impossible, but much more difficult.

North of Brigadier you'll see a LOT of M3 Viking M3 Isida rigs. The Medic kit is partially responsible, but I think lots of folks have figured out the domination wrought by this combo and bought on sales or otherwise outside of the kit. You're right that Isida on a light hull is an easy kill. But at high ranks I'm saying most Isidas are on Viking, which is far more formidable. A clear case of the whole being more than the sum of its parts.

I was on the business end of a Rico M3 earlier today. It batted around my M3 Viking like a cat playing with a ball of yarn. Can't WAIT to get this turret.
-
I've seen that and yes it is effective, but soon folks will figure it out. You'll start getting picked off by shafts and rails, and firebirds will sneak up behind you and toast you across your minefield.

I guarantee you that I am not

M3 Isida is a major killer. I generally can't kill it with M3 Hammer. As others have said drugs do not help. You will lose any drug war with an M3 Isida.
-
No I would keep using what you've got. And M3 Hammer has a hard time dealing with drugging M3 hulls and turrets at the General ranks and higher. I got it in a kit and like it but am biding my time until I can afford M3 Rico kit

Good advice for any tanker. Don't chase tanks. Let them go. Instead turn around to kill the tank that is ALWAYS sneaking up behind you. That and chasing tanks takes precious time that is better spent engaging someone who wants to fight.

If you are that worried about Vulcan (don't be), just buy Invader. You won't find many battles with Vulcans and even fewer where the Vulcans are dominating. It does happen though, so having basic protection with some MUs is handy but not required. Not worth the crystals for a combo paint like Blacksmith.

Just wish M3 unlocked a few ranks earlier.
-
Usefulness of M3 Thunder is VERY map specific. Good on Madness, bad on Polygon and Rio. You need to be able to stop enemies from sneaking up on you.
-
My M3 hammer can beat this kit every time.

Buy Viking Don't buy Tiger
