    Ideas for Missions!

I find it crazy that I am agreeing with Riddler here, but not all of his ideas have that drawback- in fact, only a few do. The kill the flag holder or enemy on drugs, etc can be completed by anyone, with any equipment. To extend on Riddler's idea, I would suggest that the reward for the more specific missions be higher (especially if it is a kill an enemy with a certain paint). That would make it more worthwhile to pursue the missions.

    Gold Boxes!

Interesting one. Joined a slow game of Desert DM, and started sniping (somewhat successfully) from a corner. After about 5 minutes, the siren rang. I went around looking for the drop zone, and after about 30 seconds (right before the gold started dropping) got killed. Thought there was no way I would get it, but somehow spawned right next to it. The person underneath got killed so that bought me the extra time needed to get to the gold and got lucky pushing into it.

A Guide to Balancing Tanki and School

A Guide to Balancing Tanki and School Lets face it- we have all struggled through a long day of school or work, just waiting to get home and reck some noobs on the good 'ol Tanki Online. However, along with getting home comes other obligations, mainly homework, chores, sports, or clubs. In this article, I will share my method of balancing Tanki and life, based off of my one year of playing (during my Junior year of high school, nonetheless). First off, when you get home, make sure to at least say hi to your family. It is flat out rude to go shut yourself in your room immediately and throw on your headphones. Along with this comes chores- it is just as rude to ignore chores in lieu of playing a video game. The good side of getting chores done with is that the satisfaction of playing is better. Let me explain- there is a difference between playing when other, more important obligations are in the way vs playing when you do not have anything on the back of your mind. Playing in the former mindset is, in a way, counterproductive. We play Tanki to alleviate stress, among other things, and procrastinating just lets the stress of getting things done build up. On the flipside, if you wait 15 minutes and do your chores, you will not have as much on the back of your mind, and relaxation will come naturally (unless you get in an argument with a nug 8 year old in xp/bp). Now that we have taken care of the first 15 minutes after getting home, we will move onto homework. We all hate homework, but we all have to do it. Unfortunately, explaining that you entered a 4 hour game and worked up to a score of 1,000 before noticing how long the game was is not a valid excuse. However, while we need to get our homework done, taking a break after school is crucial to making sure you can concentrate on homework. Basically, homework's relation to Tanki is all about balance. Before logging in, look and approximate how long you will be working on homework in the upcoming hours. Then, decide (your parents may do this for you) your bedtime- for example, I shoot for lights out at 11:30 every night. I generally get home and showered after soccer around six, so that means there is 5 and a half hours before I want to be in bed. If I have 2 and a half hours of homework and dinner will take 45 minutes, that gives me 2 hours and 15 mins of free time. In this case, I would most likely play for around 45 minutes, get started on homework, eat dinner, and finish homework. If I have any time after that, I will then play some more Tanki. Work out the numbers for you. While 45 minutes may not seem like a very long time of playing immediately after school, it is actually an adequately long time to relax. Keep in mind that gaming should be much less important than school, family, and sports/clubs. Always make sure you place these things in front of Tanki, otherwise you will risk not getting things done, and having your mother angry that you never vacuumed the living room. Keep this in mind- games are for relaxation, not to be a primary activity in your life. Also, if there are not any fun games happening (this often happens around 11:00 Eastern, when the druggers take over EN2), log off the game! If you are not enjoying yourself, there is no reason to be online. In review, balancing Tanki and school is all about scheduling. Make sure to get chores done first, then play long enough to relax so you can get into homework. Take some time to try to plan out when you will be on and not, and you are on your way to a well-ballanced, and hopefully not as sleep-deprived life. I hope you all enjoyed the article. Feel free to share how you balance games and school, and also go ahead and critique my writing if you wanna. - @Jwimmer

Tanki Picture of the Day - Have any?

Alright heres another post Ranked to third lieutenant. Was pretty cool because the max rank in that game was WO5, so I was a rank above the limit. Got a good fund too. I would think that 1.75x funds would mean a higher reward/xp ratio, but I guess since it was a blowaway game it is different. Im pretty sure that hornet hammer was meant for Rio- it does incredibly well on it. Lots of places to take cover to reload, and also its easy to pop out on people.

    Gold Boxes!

A truly exhilarating gold. I went to the center, then spun in circles waiting to see the parachute. I saw it right when everyone else did, and joined the mad rush to the drop zone. I got there first, shot with hammer backwards to shoot my end up into the gold, anddddddd- it went halfway through me, then I finally took it. Was so nervous I wouldnt get it. A second after like 20 tanks came drifting around that corner. First gold on Dusseldorf. Also got 900 from the fund (with a 600 score, so a good xp/cry ratio)

    Too high ranks

If you hate fighting against M2s and good M1s, then don't! Nobody is forcing you to play against WO5s, you can find plenty of battles with just the low WO ranks, who rarely even have a good M1.

    Gold Boxes!

I almost had 2 golds in one game of poly cp. The first I got auto destructed because I got on top of a dictator that was on top of a viking. The second, I hit heal a split second too late, and got killed before the gold came down. Still, Im seeing a large increase in the amount of golds dropped, even with the slight fund increase.

    Ideas for Turrets!

The range of twins is short for a reason- it would be even more OP if it had a long range.

    Gold Boxes!

Got a gold in a wasp fire. We got a 16k fund in 1 hour- the extra 25% adds a nice amount to funds, definitely more than I expected.

  18. He did not lose his tanki account- he is logged into the forum, which uses the same password as the game itself.
