Well, I have the privilege to live in a country where guns are banned, and let me tell you, it doesn't usually work too well. Basically, normal people obey the laws and don't buy guns, but robbers murderers, etc. don't care one bit about laws, so there's nothing to stop them from buying a gun. So now you've just given the most dangerous people in the country guns, and taken them away from the people who need them most. Personally, I don't think that's a good idea, but I respect your opinion. I also want to point out that there's a reason that Texas has the lowest crime rate of any state in America ;).
