    What to buy? Which is better?

    I want two protection modules: one for small maps and one for large/medium maps. Something like this: -Badger T-D M3: 35% Firebird, 35% Thunder (most frequent enemy turret I have to face period), 35% Freeze -Shark T-D M3: 35% Twins (most OP turret I deal with on a regular basis and one of the most annoying to my Wasp), 35% Thunder, 35% Vulcan (not that common but in large maps almost impossible for me to survive without good protection from it) These are not definitely best but I would like something like that for protections.

    Now that all the M3 kits unlock at the same time, should I get Prometheus Kit, Boreas Kit, or Ghost Kit. I like all of these kits but my dream tank is Firebird M3 + Wasp M3 + Zeus. With what I currently have, I can afford exactly one of these upon reaching Lieutenant General.

    Let's Discuss Equipment Combos!

    I use these combos all the time. 1. Firebird M2 (33/50) + Wasp M1 (50/50) + Storm + Hohloma LGC (1/11) for large maps and is my favorite combo. 2. Firebird M2 (33/50) + Hunter M2 (8/50) + Hohloma + Hohloma LGC (1/11) for Polygon CP and a lot of small maps. This is my buffed up, badass version of Firewall Kit (which I got way back when I was a First Lieutenant). For the future: 1. Firebird M4 + Wasp M4 + Zeus + Badger T-H M4 (switched with other protections as necessary) as my main combo. This would be very good for short-range combat. 2. Firebird M4 + Hunter M4 + Zeus + Badger T-H M4 for dominating Polygon CP battles. The 50% protection provided against all short range weapons in the Badger T-H protection module (M4) will enable me to be extremely deadly in close combat. 3. Freeze M4 + Wasp M4 + Frost + Badger T-H M4 (switched with other protections as necessary) for fun. Freeze is my second favorite turret, so I will get the M3 version pretty early on. The Frost paint looks awesome too! :)
  6. I've seen Firebird M3's and M4's in action because I regularly play players much higher ranked than myself. (I enter Generalissimo battles sometimes so I know what it's like.) My own Firebird M2 is upgraded 33/50 so it is much stronger than the stock M2. Even then I struggle to do anything to players at my own rank due to the massive nerf. I am having trouble imagining how awful a stock Firebird M2 must be at my rank if I am having a hard time with my own equipment.
  7. I know this is not the case; I have been shot by Firebird M2s and even M3s a lot since the update. Even if I squint my eyes and look very closely, it is very hard to see the burn damage after my opponent stopped firing. Burn is basically non-existent even at the M4 level.

    Just play enough to complete your crystal missions and be done for the day. I've done this for a while and it works well when you need a lot of crystals without getting much XP.

    Then you're in for a rude awakening, because I use Firewall and the combo is much worse after the rebalance than before (both turret and hull got drastically nerfed).
  11. According to my stats my Firebird is supposed to do 669 damage per second. On my burn I get only around 100 damage total at most, so it is negligible. At best each individual number is 150. The problem is I have never gotten numbers four times per second. Maybe Tanki decided not to do this due to clutter, but my damage is noticeably worse than it used to be. I see the numbers only about at best twice per second. That's still only ~300 damage per second (much lower than the Vulcan users who I have to face, and it's a much shorter range turret). My burn doesn't really do anything, so I can't rely on it anymore for anything. This makes it almost impossible to use with Wasp since I will have to directly engage the enemy every time and my health won't be that good. Also my chances of escaping will be quite low since I am outrun by many of the other hulls.
  12. My Firebird acts like all the enemies are on quadruple armor (if that's even possible). It does a pathetic 150 damage at a time at best. I've had it do only 70 damage and had to unload a full packet just to destroy a Wasp M1. The burn is horrible and it does almost no damage (at most ~100 damage total, and with large amounts of druggers in my battles, usually it's far less than that). Additionally it is getting very hard to find battles without tons of drugging M3 players (mainly players from Marshal to Generalissimo, but even at my rank the players drug very heavily and hardly any kills take place the entire battle). Right now the once early-unlocking M3s such as Thunder M3 are ridiculously powerful. To make it worse, they are really common in battles at my own rank. They typically take two shots to kill me and if the Thunder is well upgraded it takes only one shot (I use a Hunter M2 MUd 8/50). Also, both my Hunter and Wasp are so much slower than they used to be while gaining a minimal amount of health (I really don't care about that; that is not why I got Wasp and Hunter in the first place). For a mere 100 (in this new number system) health gain, my Wasp now goes slower than Hornets and some Vikings. The stats don't say this, but my actual results are much worse than what they say. My Hunter also feels really slow (it's now slower than Viking!). I got it because I wanted a fast medium hull. Now they basically swapped parameters and I am stuck with a Viking basically, that happens to have good turning speed (but not much better than Viking to make up for the maximum speed difference). Viking is clearly a better hull now, especially at the M3 and M4 levels. It has comparative health, much faster maximum speed, and its turning speed is still really fast (10 difference doesn't really mean much; once you get past ~110 after that it gets harder to control, so will not necessarily be a gain). Basically, what I learned from all this is that none of the stats are accurate, and so they can not be trusted. When considering what to get, rely on users' experience with that piece of equipment rather than the stats, and you will be better prepared for the results. I myself feel like I just got shortchanged now that my heavily upgraded Firebird M2 (33/50) with a Hunter M2 or fully MUd Wasp M1 struggles to kill mere M1 tanks. Twins M1 and Vulcan M1 still beat me up. :( I cannot play for much longer with reasonable chances of getting M3s at a reasonable rank if these problems persist. With druggers far more frequent and far more heavily drugging than they used to be, I hardly get any XP. It is not uncommon for me to get only 100 XP from being in a 15 minute battle for the whole time, due to the near immortality of the many drugging tanks. (This is just at my own rank; it gets even worse if I can't find a battle at my own rank and have to fight drugging M4s instead). At the rate I am going, it will take many weeks of playing regularly to rank up when I have only 10K XP needed left.

    It did not have nitro on. I think it may have been lag, but it was able to shoot me as well and do damage, so I'm not sure. Overall I have noticed that the difference in speed between Viking and Wasp is much less now, making Wasp almost obsolete.

    Firebird has great damage but the burn feature has been vastly reduced. My Firebird M2 (MUd 33/50) only does afterburn for 2-3 seconds now and it used to do it for 15.1 seconds. Overall it is a nerf. The dps got increased a bit but the unique feature got very heavily nerfed.

    Wasp is much slower now than it used to be. I've had Vikings outrun me easily so using Wasp feels more like using a grossly outdated hull than a light fast one.
