I have a good idea of what that would be like. My own Firebird M2 is MUd 16 times. I only have trouble with those pesky drugging Colonels and Generals.
-
I was referring to that.
-
I've had these problems too. I think my statement qualifies because I mainly fight Colonels and higher. Most of the tanks I have to fight against are M3s.
-
Firebird is the bane of Vulcan. :D With my Firewall Kit tanks with Vulcan are just about my easiest prey.
-
I feel the same way, but if you make wise economic decisions in Tanki you can compete well with the best of them- all without drugging or buying crystals. I got my Firebird M1 fully MUd and MUd my Wasp M1 31 times as a Warrant Officer. During that time I could cream just about anything. Now the competition is harder, but with my Firewall Kit I can compete well against Colonels and Brigadier Generals. If you all make your decisions more carefully, you will stand a chance without having to buy or drug.

I found out that using Isida will not necessarily give you more XP than say, some other turret. I found out that my Firebird gives me significantly more XP and crystals than Isida, because I am more skilled with that turret. The same is true with Freeze.
-
I would think so too if Freeze costed more, but as one of the cheapest turrets at the M2 and M3 levels, I think its damage makes sense. If you are not pleased with it, then you MU it so that it can compete with a Firebird M3.
-
I think I can bear that "downside". I'm not allowed to eat at the computer anyway and do not wish to.
-
That is true for those who are not good at using Wasp, as is the case with any other hull. For those who know how to use it properly, however, it can be very, very hard to kill due to its agility.
-
I, fortunately have a great deal of experience with Freeze. It is my second favorite turret and was my main turret at the M0 level. It was also my very first M2. I currently have 96K crystals out of the 358K needed for the kit. I figured that once I get the kit I will have a fairly large amount left for upgrades. I will spend a little on the Freeze, but almost all the crystals will go towards making the Wasp M3 an M4. Currently I am using a well-MUd Firewall Kit as my tank combo.

There's a paint that has excellent protection for every turret. Not many tankers even use Zeus regularly anyways, because not many tankers use Firebird M3 often.

Wasp is my favorite hull. Everyone says Hornet is better, however, the nail in it's coffin is its turning speed. It is not agile at all, although it is fast and has decent armor. Wasp is good for those who have already learned how to use its extra speed. It makes up for the lack of armor with its extreme agility and so in the right hands can dodge many shots from other tanks. I am currently saving for Boreas Kit, which has Freeze M3, Wasp M3, and Taiga. The minority of Wasp among tankers is actually a strength; many tankers do not understand how to fight good Wasp users because they operate so differently.Wasps are very good for penetrating enemy territory and blowing holes in solid lines of tanks, even better than Hornet.
-
The M3 version of the Firebird is really expensive so I would say don't get it unless you really like that particular turret.
-
I got Firewall Kit and got used to Hunter a little bit. :) Still not as good with it as with a Wasp!
-
I'm saving for Boreas Kit. At this rate I should have enough for it as soon as I reach Major General. Then I'll upgrade that Wasp M3. :D
-
You all have forgotten the Freeze's primary strength. Yes, it doesn't have that nice burning time feature and is shorter ranged, but it has a much faster reload time than Firebird. Plus it's cheap in comparison.
-
Mine doesn't die that quickly, and I use Wasp M1. As for the speed, Hornet would be a compelling option if it's turning speed were better. Right now that's its main problem.
-
I have an MUd Freeze M2, and even though I also have a well MUd Firebird M2, I still use the Freeze M2 from time to time. I find it especially useful in DMs since it is harder to steal kills from a Freeze than from a Firebird because Freeze doesn't have the burning time feature and can demobilize medium and heavy tanks effectively (which are used mainly in DMs). I combine it with Wasp for a nice DM combo.
-
Excuse me, but I use Firebird mainly for attack, and I must say it does a good job killing enemies quickly combined with Wasp. As for your comment about no skill involved, skill is needed to use every turret well. For Firebird it takes skill to figure out exactly how long you need to spray a given tank to kill him with the burn and when to disengage so that you have enough ammo loaded to defend yourself if another enemy gives you a surprise visit. Also, when you say "cheap", I think you mean for M0 and M1, not M2. The M2 is one of the more expensive M2s out there and thus requires a lot of commitment to get the crystals for it.
-
The Firebird M2 is really OP at my own rank.
-
Well, the different prices among different turrets and hulls makes up for the OP or UP characteristics.
-
I used Hornet as my main hull until I got Wasp M1. With some upgrades I found that I liked Wasp more because of its additional speed. I hate sitting in one place. I love charging the enemy, conducting evasive maneuvers to dodge Railguns, and attacking them from behind. I pair this hull with Firebird usually, although I do sometimes use Freeze or Hammer as well.
-
I am more skilled with Wasp than any other hull and the only good turrets I have work best with Wasp.
-
I agree with that. Everyone I play says, "You have 110K crystals, so why don't you get a Hornet M2 or a medium hull?" The answer is because I can maximize the use of my turret on Wasp. I enjoy chasing down tanks and killing them, not waiting around in the center while being shot at and attempting to kill something from there.
