  1. I think the only reason for the complete rebalance is, that they want to sell their alternations. The rebalance opens up the room to make alternations worth to be purchased (aka more crystals to be spent).

    I kindly as you to give a description for the "freezing rate" of the turret Freeze; and check it's unit ([sec] or [1/sec] ?) Please check as well the page that contains the rebalance figures; it the unit is given correct and if green or red is the correct color to use for the change. Thanks in advance ! (and a great work there by the way, to have all those rabalnce stuff online and readable in time !) Further: Rico - Ricochet page: reloading and recharging is mixed up in the stats table - update page: weak damage 0% -> 25%? I doubt that.. because it would mean that Rico shells have infinte range. Thunder - thunder page, weak damage is given twice with differetn values in the stats table (besides the splash weak damage) - if I hit a target, will he receive normal damage + splash damage? Or will my hit target only receive normal damage, and surrounding tanks will receive splash damage? (edit: solved by selftest: the target that is hit directly does not get splashdamage; only the surrounding tanks do. Pls enter this as clarification in your Thunder information page. Thnx :) ) Vulcan - if my barre spin up is complete; and I fire for my whole "time before I heat up"; and then I stop. How long does it take until my energy bar is filled up again(this time includes the 1sec spindown) ? hulls The acceleration values in todays hulls wiki pages are something like xx.x The acceleration values for the rebalance are something like xxxx.x interrestingly the backwards acceleration stayed xx.x I thing there is something wrong.. either the values or the units.

I think I can explain this one to you: The scenario that shall be established is most likely _not_ "I have ranked, now I have to wait until my kit unlocks" The scenario that shall be established is most likely "I have the rank for this kit, but as they have bundled so much into it, that I can not afford it with crystals at the moment . Damn, I am short by 40k, and the kit leaves the garage in 4 days and I can not earn this in time. But if I invest just a few $$ /EUR / ... then I could have it now... and use that awesome kit for 4 weeks, instead of waiting for 4 more weeks.." The kits give power, the kits unlock that power early, but the kits are also priced in a way, that makes it quite hard to purchase them in time (=as soon as you reach the necessary rank). It is "easy" for people who know this game very well or inform themselfes in time.. but for real newcomers that might not even read the forum (most don't) this game reveils it's hard nd tough economy around WO5 : the time from rankup to rankup becomes longer = you have to play longer with your low gear equipment vs. higher geared players that know what works and how to save up, and what and when (sales) to spend for. Experienced players can plan ahead; in terms of equipment; ranks & Kits; Sales and playing style. They also win more, and have learned already when a battle is hopeless and when to stay even if you will loose. But for newcomers this game hosts enough "economy features" that work like traps to lure them into purchases. But well.. it is a business after all

    "Freezing Level of Hull" ..tells you, how fast your hull will drive and rotate when it is completely frozen (lowest temperature). This will be 0.1 => normal speed x 0.1 .. or simply 10% of it's normal speed. A fast tank like a wasp will move and rotate with 10% of it's original value (= virtual standstill). "Freezing time" .. I am not sure about this one. It is - either - or Lets see

    Server numbers reflect the ranks that play there. Not precisely.. but you can get a good idea.

    well you mentioned the distribution of players through out the ranks (little fresh blood, mainly high ranked players). This would have brought some numbers to this assumption.
  9. I like the idea to give those players a certain special paint with the same abilities.. but I would change the design. Just to honor those, who achieved the normal veteran paint the way they did

    Ask for Invite (to private battles) This is very usefull, especially if you're a clans leader and some of your mates pop online for the training too late. Problem: I see that a friend of mine is in a private battle; and I like to / need to (clan training..) play with him. Solution: 1) In my friendlist I can see, that my friend is in a private battle (this idea) 2) I can click his name and chose the option [ask for invite] from the pop up menue 3) On his screen a little box (like for an invite) pops up in his top right corner, and with 1 click on this box he can invite me (or decline my request). 4) if he invies me, I get a normal invite-message on my screen, which I can follow It's pretty easy, nothing complicated :) Today's workaround is pretty nasty:
  11. That was not jerked.. that was planned. They also did the same with firebird.. they reduced the afterburndamage significantly (as the M3 heating time to max. temp. is now 5 seconds instead of 2,5 seconds) - but - what a conincidence - you can buy it back (and strong it up) with an alternation.. Same goes for rail. The new Rail M3 can 2shot new hornets and wasps. But the chance is not soooo bad, that the hornet will survive with just a little bit of hp. Exceeeeeeept (tataaaa !) the railgunner invests into that constant damage alternation. I mean.. it's only his tanks life, that cruicialy depends on constant "shot-to-kill" figures.. ;) By moving rail damage and light hulls health to a critical "should die/must not" border the gameplay for railers is now "more interresting" ;)
  12. ^whatever comes "soon" is usually a little bit changed and tweaked some weeks later. I mean.. can you imagine the firebirds with the shortened reload and the heatup-alternation? Crispy.. Or the freeze.. if I got it right the max.Dmg.Range is 10m; with alternation 20m.. which means it delivers full damage at almost it's whole path. While the damage was increased? And if I interpret the Freezing time according to the old freeze wiki entry, it will freeze you to standstill (!) within 0,75 seconds (!). I always wanted a more freezing freeze M3.. but this could be overkill. I hope I got that freeze parameter wrong.

    Ideas for Turrets!

    the balance will change some of them: rail M0, M1 and M2 become faster, M3 stays about the same; M4 becomes slower then it was. Rail is ment to be used on a distance.. therefore the slow rotation speed does not matter too much. If you use it on short range, you use a fast hull (you need to escape during its reload time) and you usually rotate hull+turret to hit your target.

    at the time you have your Tornado kit, you won't face too many Wasp M0 and Hornet M0 anyways. So you will anyways need 2 shots for each of this tanks; which means the faster reload of the Rail does you a favour (compared to now). Isida and Firebird ranks faster; but those are cruicial ranks you are going through now. Those ranks teach you basic skills and fighting-mindset (like valuing patience instead of rushing) that you need later on if you wanna succeed. In those ranks you can learn them while fighting low-skilled enemies.. while if you have to learn them later on, you will find it pretty frustrating. Fast ranking is not everything in this game.. actually it is one of the least important things around. To achieve and hold up a high [crysals earned / per experience points gained] is far, far more cruicial.. and this works only if you know very well what you are doing. The firebird skills that let you fly through warrent officer ranks will give you hard times once you passed by lieutenend and enter major, as almost everyone up then has learned how to conquer firebird.

    Tornado definitely It looks like they are gonna to seriously nerve Isida soon; while the Rail seems to stay competative (changed, but competative). Rail will also improve your overall tanki skills (aiming, thinking ahead, ...).

    please calculate how many hours you "work" here in this game per week; then estimate how much money you could earn in the real world if you use 1/3rd of your ingame time to work for money; then consider if it's worth to do so and buy premium.. or simply just plain crystals in larger badges. Just to find out, what "pays off" more

    maybe this :ph34r: (kust kidding ;) ;) ) I saw they reduced the number of servers for Tanki Online during the last months continously, which will for sure lead to more load on the servers. Besides the fact that the active number of players reduces itself over time since 2 years -> I assume (!!!) that they use at least some of those servers to host Tanki X now.

    Ah I see :) I was not aware that this info is clearly available on the homepage (I never visit it :p ). I thought you automatically login with a game account, grab the battle list and count the number of participants in each battle on each server :)

    those 500% are simply too much of an advantage / disadvantage. I'm not pro-drugs.. I preffer to play without.. and I dislike it if some single drug abusers turn normal battles with the flick of their hand. But I was told by some druggers, that they actually love to play Full-Drug-vs-Full-Drug battles. So they were clearly not talking about drug abuse or shaving some non-druggers down to the bone; no: they truely love full drug battles. I've joined some to see how they are.. how they fight and what they write in chat: they truly love it and if you dont drug there, you are a mult (which is logical). The opportunity to participate _there_ is practically taken away from free players now. Thats kind of sad for those guys and girls. I proposed a solution with two different supply stocks; but I think thats too complex and does not work so well. so on the other hand I think that - get rid of drugs in normal battles - and introduce them only to pro battles - keep cheap supplies for crystals ..would maybe be more of a benefit to the whole game.

    You could check the load distribution on EN5+6 vs EN1..4 @@AbsoluteZero You have a scrip that can check the number of players in active battles.. could you expand it to see, how the rank distribution is? This would be a nice information.. to see how much time / server capacity is consumed by "new"-vs-"matured" accounts in this game.
  21. Actually all players hate it to be 1shot. I have an account where I have a Rail M1.5, that has a pretty good chance to take out even M1 hornets with 1 shot. Sometimes even M0 Hunters explode on first contact. So how awesome might the gameplay be? I enter a DM on a larger map with fewer players (cross 5 players, Alexandrov 7 players, ..) and they die like flies. Often they do not even see me, backstabbed from behind or spiked by a rail out of nowhere.. 5..10sec after they spawned. >> After 5 minutes they usualy all leave the battlefield. Obviously it makes no fun to them. Sure it is a nice feeling to be overpowered.. but this can't be the target of a multiplayer game. With the new rail I need 2shots for them; while I can deliver those 2 shots far quicker then before. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

    Thats (part of) the reason: If that assumption is correct, then pricing the supply kits at the real money crystalequivalent would mean that buyers would have to spend more money on the game to continue their playing style like they do today. This will lead to: - a "felt price increase" -> which will not be received positive by buyers - it makes them rethink their budget, if they need to calculate it (pocket money) - or it makes them run into a psychological border ("I can afford to spend a little more.. but I simply dont want to spend more then xy bucks per month on that game...") Of course it raises kind of the same issues in free players, that used to purchase the supply kits with crystals earned in the game. But you know how much Tanki gives for free players in comparsim to buyers. Besides that a lot of free players reside on the hope (by Tanki) that the drug usage will drop, and therefore the free players will have less of an issue. This is true on one hand, while on the other hand the free players will be pretty helpless against organised buyers raiding teams. I doubt that Tanki will take away this threat to the free players; as it is the main argument to sell supplies to buyers. But.. despite of the consequences (positive and negative).. I think they simply can not charge as much as the crystalequivalent, without driving some buyers away. And for the buyers they (have to) care most.

    I think of supplies should be paid via the shop the price can not be the crystaleqivalent to a Garage price.I have the assumption, that generalissimo buyers in the past played the game and earned crystals and if they run out of supplies they just topped up their crystals by money to afford a supply Kit... so the price in the shop may onlyreflect that topup.. or else the supplies would appear more expensive to buyers. But acting according to this assumption does as well not support the target of lowering the drugs equally over all players. It leaves the benefit on the buyers hands. But this was the business model over the years anyways

Especially if an economy is not very peachy, it is quite risky to act like that. btw I have good hopes for the balance; just the Isida self healing nerve (target missed as if noone analised the real problem) and the Viking-Hunter-exchange (looks like a pure money source) is pretty much a clap in the face..
