I just finished my mission...what a nightmare. It is SO hard for a level 19 (me) to compete with Legends of all levels (lvl31+). It is just not fair. It is a nightmare trying to stay alive more than 3 seconds much less being "1st to Finish". Please let us either do Dailys in Pro Battles of let us create Standard Battles again We need to be able to adjust the rank brackets. Or get rid of the the Daily Mission Chain. Or get rid of Daily Missions altogether and let players grind their way to higher levels through their chosen Pro or Standard Battles. I loved doing the Daily Missions since they provided most on my game income, but now they are all I have time for and I don't like getting slaughtered to pick up another silly speed box...I want to battle...and I don't want pressure from my pastime game. If there were no missions for anyone, players could just do battle to generate income. My guess is Tanki won't do this because they will sell a few more supply kits or a shiny new M3 kit from the store when we are all trying to "Finish 1st in Battle" and are forced to use inordinate amounts of drugs to be semi-competitive. I miss the good old days of Tanki.

True enough...poor phrasing by me. But you do defend them even though it sounds like you personally don't really care for the updates. You seem to believe that the developers know what they are doing. I think that most players think they have either lost their minds and fiddle as Rome burns or are trying anything they can to increase revenue...even at the cost of quality of gamplay. The later seems more likely to me. I think this latest update was geared to selling a paltry few more supply kits in the store.
-
But yet they ARE making it worse update by update. The proof of this is the thousands of complaints...THOUSANDS! Tanki is no where near as much fun as it used to be. I still play and will continure to play since I still enjoy the game...but I don't enjoy it as much as I did before your precious developers decided to develop into a shadow of what it once was with their ill conceived constant updates. I dare Tanki to take an honest poll: Has Tanki been improved with the recent updates? There would be some valuable data to base future development on. You may not get paid to support Tanki (even though you do get paid in crys as a helper)...but I find it hard to believe that as a player you enjoy all these new updates. We all want to enjoy the game again...even Tanki associates.
-
But right here in the Forum there is a topic with almost 80 pages of complaints...oh, thats about the daily missson update not the 1vs1 vile cheaters abusing the game in Island (contemptible villains)
-
Tanki doesn't care a bit what goes on in the game as long as they have a chance of collecting a bit more money from players. "Madness" if very appropriate.
-
Tanki is ONLY concerned with ways of increasing revenue no matter how slight the increase it might be; no matter the grief cost to its players. They have 79 pages of people protesting the Daily Mission update. It is obvious that the vast majority of players are against this last horrible update. But they do nothing...why? No matter how they spin it or doctor it, they want to force people to use more drugs. They will eventually make a few more shekels when a few players buy supply kits from the store. They increase the rank brackets for battles, not to make it easier to find a battle, but to make lower rank players BUY equipment/drugs to be able to compete. This is apparent when looking at the rank brackets of the mid-ranks. Rank 19 must now compete with rank 30 AND all Legend ranks above no matter how high. The start of M2 vs the TOP of M4...and they call this "balanced". Tanki doesn't give an iota about us players...nada, nothing only money coming in. I'm sick of their tortured smarmy rhetoric and I'm sick of these wretched updates. There is not a damn thing I can do about any of it other than write to the wind here on this futile forum where other players as fed up as I am can commiserate. They make a junkie then bleed them till they quit playing...there are plenty more upcoming junkies. Shame on Tanki for abusing your player base as you continue to do.

Tanki spends a lot of time talking about game balance and how important it is. Many of us have had to abandon favorite turrets or hulls as Tanki "balanced" them into semi-worthlessness. Along with the daily mission change (which is absolutely horrible unto itself) came another disaster. The rank spread in standard battle has been expanded "only a little, by 4 or 5 ranks". This is huge and completely overpowering. I am of the 19th rank (Captain) and just got my first M2 equipment. Previously I had to battle with much higher ranks (like rank 26 Generals) and it was difficult. Now, with and extra few ranks thrown in, I must battle all ranks above me including the very highest Legend rank since they are all considered just Legend be they Legend 1 or Legend 1999. With just purchased M2 stuff I am supposed to complete daily missions against players with all M4 equipment. I don't stand a chance. I get one shotted by Smoky, Rico, Hammer, of course Shaft and even two shotted by Twins...two shots. Vulcans, Firebirds, Freezes just pass by me and I'm dead. There is no way I can continue to keep up with my Daily Mission Chain (that I have kept up for almost a year without one day skipped) in Standard Battles against such high ranking players...it is impossible despite skill level. It would be EXACTLY like me with M2 equipment playing against a Recruit. The Recruit would not stand a chance. So how can I complete Daily Missions? I can still generate Pro Battles and set the levels to a more reasonable spread, but what of the income lost from Daily Missions? How long will it take to rank up and generate enough crystals to compete with levels 15, 20, 30 levels higher than myself? A hell of a long time. In essence it means that I have hit a ceiling with Tanki and will become just an occasional player since there is no incentive to play every day. I am positive that I am not the only person to feel this oppressive crunch. In any universe, how can this be "balanced"?

Contest — 7 Magnums to give away and lots of prizes
ByeByeBye replied to theFiringHand in Contests Archive
Also, with the restart the Tanki client will not boot up now. The browser version is almost unworkable and will only show RU servers. Did you guys decide to up the deadline for the Magnum contest by a couple of hours without telling anyone? I certainly will not be able to reach my goal at this point with the client down. That is IF day 6 of the contest has not been prematurely closed out. Should I keep slogging my way though with the browser or is day 6 at a close already? Please an answer as soon as possible. -
Hey...maybe you are right! It is such an annoying and stupid update that it has to be the April Fools joke! Man, Tanki got me good on that one :) I was really upset :)
-
So what? What if they were easy? Everyone had the same missions over a period of time. Isn't that a way for players to generate income? Shouldn't players be able to generate income easily? I would guess that is why a 10% increase in rewards....but 10% will not come close to offsetting the difficulty created by this new system.

Ruining Daily Missions like this will make game play in non-pro much slower as players change focus from winning to completing missions. Example: I need 5 DD boxes. Do I concentrate on running that flag or do I pay more attention to when that DD box is about to drop? Camping around drop sites will become rife. ...overall, a poorly thought out update (again)
-
I feel like I'm being boxed into a corner. Tanki keeps taking away more and more. I always do my Daily Missions with friends or my kid...yep, it is a shortcut; yes it does make the missions easy...that is the only thing that gives me enough income to keep anywhere near to competitive. I will NEVER send Tanki any money because of the constant changes in the game...I never know what my real money will be buying. So, my purpose in Tanki is fodder for actual buyers to kill...it's why we get to play for free...we freebies bulk up the playing field. But if I can't generate an income within the game from Daily Missions and keep up with the Mission Chain, I will eventually not be able to compete as I rank up. I will eventually be forced out of the game since I will not send in any money for a product that is constantly in flux. The long term effect of changing Daily Missions like this will be to make fewer and fewer mid and high rank players, which will make the game, overall, less enjoyable for buyers; meaning less buyers...smaller bottom line.

It would be great if the Wiki had an explanation for each of the battle icons that appear on the the picture of the map of the "join battle" menu The icons circled in red need an explaination somewhere: https://postimg.org/image/fgu06ubsp/

What does any Isida player think about alterations? I'm glad the rental price can be paid in crystals now, but I'm still too poor (OK, cheap) to rent it. If you have played with one of the alterations, give me your opinion...is one of the alterations worth it?

I know it is only a week or so after the new M0 MU update and only a day after the M1 MU update, but could the Tanki Staff update the Micro-Upgrade Schedule? You know, the web pages that delineate how much each successive upgrade and speed ups cost. M0 turrets needed = Twins-Rico-Smoky-Thunder-Railgun-Shaft-Hammer-Vulcan-Striker M0 turrets completed already = Firebird-Freeze-Isida M0 hulls needed = all hulls M1 turrets needed = all turrets M1 hulls needed = all hulls I'm sure they will eventually get to it, but maybe a smallish fire under them? Pretty please?

Cedric Debono, on 15 Mar 2017 - 20:31, said: Cedric...some clarification please: OK, I am probably just complicating this and interpreting this with a paranoid bent, but might this mean SUPPLIES? In the garage, the only thing we actually buy in bulk is supplies...as a kit of 100 units of each type of drug. Please tell me I'm wrong here and supplies will still be sold in the garage with a 50% discount as a kit.

supplies experiment #2 FAIL This system is awful with it's carry-over cooldowns. What is the point? All it did was promote spawn killing...on each side. If my side got the timing edge we ran over and slaughtered opponents as they respawned at their base. Then it would switch around and they would slaughter us at our base. Where is any skill in that? It is just a mecanical grind. When not spawn killing, I felt I had to pay attention to my supply situation more than watching my opponents positions which is not really much in terms of skills. It felt to me as if the supply system was made more important in the game as opposed to outmanuvering your opponent. Overall, I don't think this type of system would change anything in terms of supply use. Druggers would continue to drug and non-druggers would still complain about it. There is no point to this change other than change for it's own sake. If this experiment were to be implemented I would try to seek out no-drug pro battles all the time. The trouble with that, at least in current play, is they are very hard to find. Instead of changing the supplies system couldn't you just make standard battles drug or no drug? That would be wonderful and make druggers and non-druggers happy. Or have a way to easily see if a pro battles were drug or non-drug like the way you display duration on the main battle menu now. I believe this would be welcomed by all players. I'm so very tired of the constant changes.

Lackey does not mean "brainless follower". M.Webster: Lackey: a servant, especially a liveried footman or manservant. synonyms: servant, flunky, footman, manservant, valet, steward, butler, attendant, houseboy, domestic I never intended to insult anyone. I apologize for offending...I am truly sorry and wish I had used another word instead. I just wanted to point out that the vast majority of people praising this coming experiment were associated with Tanki somehow...and I sincerely thought that was kinda funny.
-
I don't buy into this line of thought. If Tanki is so concerned, take the supplies away...problem fixed. Or, generate a system to quickly see drug/no-drug Pro battles...something like how you can now see duration of battles now. This would even motivate some hold-outs to buy a ProPass! The supply system is 100% fine the way it is...take a poll Tanki (if you dare). Lag and crashes are a MUCH bigger problem to most players than druggers. I wholeheartedly believe Tanki is trying to figure out a way to motivate people to use more supplies, thereby increasing Tanki's chances of getting more cash purchases of supplies. If so SAY SO, stop propagandizing about improving the game! I dare Tanki to take a poll as to who thinks the recent myriad of changes and updates have improved the game...I double-dog-dare you. All companies need to make money for bottom line profits, wages, equipment, taxes, etc....everyone knows this. Tanki is not a charity. You let players play for free to fill up the battles so the pay-players have someone to destroy and every free player has the potential of coughing up some cash if they are motivated enough. Tanki, wouldn't it be easier just to say you are trying to make money from your game rather than constantly upsetting your players by telling them how you are IMPROVING the game for them (against their will)? Overall, I hope this experiment, or the last one, and 99% sure the next one will NEVER be implemented. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Stop the Changes!
-
Where and how is that rude? I only draw attention to who is speaking in a positive manner for this experiment and they happen to be Tanki associates....if you were offended by the wor lackey, look it up.
-
It is hysterical how the only people saying anything positive about this experiment are Tanki administrators or Tanki lackeys of some sort. "In our continuous quest to find the right formula for the mechanics of supplies" You already have the right formula...at least for players. To SELL more supplies, you need to find a way to get people to burn up their supplies even more quickly so a bigger percentage will have to pay real money to resupply. Answer: shorten the duration and shorten the cooldown times...bigger use of supplies. Thank you for leaving the Pro battles alone...at least for now. My fear is that whatever change you decide for supplies will further degrade the game in it's consistent downward slide with all the updating and changes of late. STOP THE CHANGES

you took my question away :( OK, I'll phrase it as more of a question: How does the new system for M0 micro-upgrades work? Is the price of an M1 equivalent turret (fully MU 10/10) now exactly the same as buying an M1 outright? Will the M0 turret become an M1 turret if fully MUed when the appropriate rank is reached. I had these questions posed as an easy to follow example, but someone deleted the post.
-
New MU designations for M0 equipment - update #445 3/2/17 Patch Notes Quote: Number of steps decreased from 50 to 10; Total step cost halved and equals to the cost of M1 modification of the item; Speed up cost is 2 times higher than step cost on each step; The aggregate value of step and speed up remains the same; Sooooo...is this correct? Smoky M1 costs 11000 crystals If I do 10 micro-upgrades (without speedups) on Smoky M0 they will cost 11000 in total, bringing my Smoky to 10/10 and automatic M1 status when my rank permits. Yeah? Cool.
