Two three minute wait between games? RIP Tanki.

You have to learn to lead the target. Once tou can hit with single shots it becomes quite effective. Remember you do not have to hit the enemy tank just something near the enemy tank. Wall, ground, friendly tanks... anything. Also ricking your hull is important. I used it on Titan manybe other hulls need more or less rocking. It can miss high on a low hull like Viking. And the nose points up just a little when driving forward, rocking compensates for this.

If this is goin to happen then might as well start now.

I had some good games today in the Isida. Good team play on the enemy and my side. Had moments of success and moment getting smacked. None of these "invincible" Isida trains even though thre were more than one Isida / team quite often. But one thing did occur to me during those games. Isida gets a lot of steady points frm healing. So my OG start renewed a bit faster than with my Vulcan or Smoky. This might be part of the new Isida/OP talk. Now is that an OP turret or a bad OD system? There's another topic. Here is a perect example of why it would be a bad idea to mess with hulls and turret before the new ODs are added. We might find Magnums with the see-through-walls is a big problem. Or invulnerable flag-raiders.

It does if you're playing Tanki right. :) Experience points are your enemy!

Valid Battle option for restricting certain equipment
LittleWillie replied to Jtipt.The.Killer in Ideas and Suggestions
Some background. Tame and again some players clamor for a mode like BP but for light hulls and Firebird turrets. Why do they ant this? Not for fun but so the players can spawn, drive towards each other, shoot, die, and re-spawn as fast as possible. The entire point is to power-level not to create an interesting game variant. Tanki devs know this have every single time they say. "No, we are not going to create a mode using the least interesting and least-skillful matchup possible just so people can use it as an exploit". On this issue, tanki devs do do a very good job. So now we have this suggestions which is just a disguised way to set up these same Firebird/Wsp exploit battle. Given Tanki's past comments, there is no way under Earth blue skies the TO devs let this happen. -
I imagine many players with turret choices are using the fsatest-firing turret they have because if the new RK rules. For some people that would be Smoky. Every garage has a Smoky and a Hunter. That would explain dome uptick in Smoky use. As for 2-3 in every battle I don't see anything near that.

Valid Lower healing rate when Isida heals another Isida
LittleWillie replied to BlackWasp777 in Ideas and Suggestions
Clearly you've never been an experimentalist for a living. In one week the player base will hardly have mastered use of this complete game transformation. The first weeks data will bear little resemblence to the 8th week's. -
Fair is fair. Today I had one very good close battle after another. I' am often critical of this game. But tonight it was one good tough game after another. Most games were very close. Some bigger wins sure but hard fighting not spawn killing. Some obviously good players doing some above average driving. Also: wodka. ^^^ If Matchmaking lets me click one button and find a good game w/o server-jumping then I will consider it a success. Tanki is fun when not imbalanced. blowout ... when it'd more than spawn - drug -shoot -die. Maybe this is what TO needs.

Valid Lower healing rate when Isida heals another Isida

Nothing should get a re-balance - bot even Magnum - until the new 7-way Overdrive system has been up and running for at least two months. Only then will it be able to answer this question. -
A classic role no doubt. I just have this [tic] need for speed. [tic. twitch]

I don't think I have done many full 360 circles as the target usually does not last that long. :)

I know it sounds crazy. It does have many drawbacks. But I'll be damned if it is not incredible fun. And when you are in the zone oh my God you're a wrecking ball. Seriously, Downsides: So many. Obviously Wasp is a light hull so not only do enemies blow you up you have little HP to lose ot over-heating. But less obvious is the recoil. It just plays hell with stability. The combo is top heavy so shoot to the side anbd you might well tip over. Just shooting and driving forward slows you down a lot. Get tipped over way often by enemies or just dooing it to yourself. I have a mis-matched m3 gun on an m2 hull. Just shooting while still will make my hull tip straight up. When I say unstable it is unstable. You have to learn howto use your accperation and braking to limit that recoil effect. For example you are still. Start shooting and move forward, that will help you keep the nose down. You stay moving by balaning out these forces on your hull, recoil, impacts, and accelerations. Your K/D WILL suffer frm the tip overs and occasional over-heats. Thre is also no kit so you have to buy and MUi "a la carte". Advantages: Onvce you get the feel for this something great happens. I have to guess players just do not expect this combo, see it rarely, so they do not get much practice against it. You are so fast you can dodge around even at close range. The enemy is always under some impact and that just sems to make fighting back hard. You can almost circle-strafe a target and no one expects a Vulcan to circle-strafe. As for Firebirs Freezes Isida so forth Vulcan does a lot of damage at short range just like them. But recoil helps when yo drive backwards firing you accelerate. The Fire/Hornet sees an easy light hull kill. But even as his hull and turret start to turn you've reversing and spinning up. Before he knows it yo are out of his range and he is eating tracer rounds. As for overheating, Ileanred to fire my time and stop. You do not have that HP mass to use up. But sometimes you ave to keep firing. When I start to burn often I resign myself to the self and keep firing so long as any target remains. That's about the best I can do. Thre's only a couple specific examples I can describe (sort of)here. To be honest I cannot desrribe how I keep the damn combo going on the edge of control. You just have to keep at it and develop a feel. But honestly it does seem very powerful at times, very powerful. But mostly is id damn fun. Hope that helps. (Yes on the RK Vulcan might be the best RK supressor in th egame now. Good for th eteam.)

In my hands yes it is  Will it still be OP after 6 new overdrives go live? I have no idea. I do know that a hell of a lot will be different though.

Cobra II by Bernard Trainor ... the American invasion of Iraq in 2003.

I play Striker (or did until last week) so I know all about "selfing" But that is not how game balance is determined, by "I am occasionally annoyed".

scroll up a few pages similar stuff is already there.

I bought Cedar and Dirty paints for this campoflauge reason. It works maybe 1% of the time. But giving the exact same poaint is going to far. anyway now that tank hulks vanish almost instantly no one will be folled. Why did they make tanks vanish instantly anyway? It is another weakening of the game. Clutering an escape path used to be a viable last-ditch flag defense gambit. The Dumbing Down marches on.

Valid Lower healing rate when Isida heals another Isida
LittleWillie replied to BlackWasp777 in Ideas and Suggestions
My first thought is this will not work well. A fast shooter can keep its target constantly in 'slow heal mode'. A slow shooter cannot. I won't. If this concept is put in for Isidas that will be all it takes to push me over the edge into never playing TO again. -
It's hard. Sometimes they get the jump on you and thre is not much you can do. Exp with a Viking. But in general the counter is to land a shot doge a lot land another. As I said I like ot engage at short range. So you shot and scoot to their side. Ricos esp cannt track their turret fast enough. Then land a shot at their side and start impacting them. You basically have to cause a miss/doge a shot then seize the initiatiive from them. Also earlier this year at one of the major sales I made sure to buy Rico/Tins mods for LittleWillie for this very reason.

25 minutes and out.,

It is not useless but how useful it will be depends on how you like to play and upon your map. If you are on along-range map it helps a but because when a crit hit lands with DD boy does it land. If you like to shoot pop under cover, re-locate and shoot again it adds a lot of damage. But if you like fast-paced shooting/strafing it hurts. Bottom Line I am glad I own it but I rarely use it. I use Smoky full-time w/LittleWillie so the alterations give me some flexibility. If you can get it on sale and you use Smoky all the time then by all means get it. It actually lowers sustained DPS. I did the cals awhile back. If you shoot constantly for like 20 seconds you will do more damage (probably) without this alteration. But that is not how all battle flow. In situations you cannot shoot as fast as possible this alteration will boost your DPS.

Valid Battle option for restricting certain equipment
LittleWillie replied to Jtipt.The.Killer in Ideas and Suggestions
The light bulb went off when I read this comment. This idea is nothing more than a backdoor attempt to get Tanki to allow XP/BP-style combats but instead using the Wasp/Firebird Power-leveling/Mind-killing format. Busted Having realized this is just one massive colossal exploit I am now certain the devs will reject this idea with extreme prejudice. -
Valid Battle option for restricting certain equipment
LittleWillie replied to Jtipt.The.Killer in Ideas and Suggestions
Bad idea. too much potential for unintended consequences. But mostly it would take considerable dev time to reate a massive cluttering of the xustmom battle interface, which would further fragment those players in custom battles, and is pretty much damned if you do or damned if you don't. By that I mean this. If certain hulls or turrets get **** out of battles very often the consequences are likely to arise. Let's say you play an unpopular turret. Allof a sudden your fellow games can veto you from playing. Count on losing some players over this. But if the system is not used much ... then the development time is not justified. I see this as can of worms time. -
Also very true, The math; she is correct.
