Unless you have afterburn immunity Fire is still very potent.
-
Well... "most players" are fine with it because it IS the most used hull. People tend to not want to admit the item they use is OP out of fear it will be nerfed. But regular users of the other 8 huls do have an issue with it. Widowmaker has more inherent weaknesses. Charge-up like shaft, can't one-shot everything and mobility issues. Hornet on the other hand can equip things like drones to mitigate it's one weakness - health.
-
I coined that phrase earlier in the year when the giant asian hornet was found on west coast of NA. That's the nickaname the bug was given and I applied it to the hornet hull since it's OD is so very, very annoying.
-
Not sure. I started in 2015 and hornet was around. ODs were added about 2+ years ago - they make the biggest difference in hulls.
-
It would be an entirely new game. Hard pass. ?
-
hull naming convention? you mean m0-m3 and now mk1-mk7? That happened less than a year ago. Ares was added this year.

Agree on most. I would switch Rail-Scout with Vulcan. Impact alone makes it OP. I think freeze is more effective than isida. IMO they have ruined isida. Used to be my main - now hardly ever use it.
-
Rail, Gauss and Magnum seem to get most kills. Well, Magnum before they reversed it's augment with stock. Not sure about it now. Hornet (of course) and Viking for their ODs. Would have included Titan but - there are about 6 other hulls that have ODs that can counter it. So Titan OD has very limited applications. Wasp + freeze is a very potent combo. No one slowed by the freezing escapes the bomb. Hunter and Dictator have serviceable ODs and as medium hulls get around decently. Dictator probably gets better battle-scores since each sharing of the OD gives it score. Hopper... seems like it will break some battle modes - hard to defend flags or rugby cap-points against a "flying" tank. Good thing it's not available to the general public.

If they hit the bedrock and most of those bedrock players are buyers, the game is done. Games need substantial F2P players. Else it's buyers vs buyers. When buyers realize they have no advantage by spending $ they will stop spending $.
-
Well, they changed maps for magnum (all those extra barriers it can hide behind but still shoot) so might as well do so for Hopper... ?

No.

Need comparables... please

I certainly don't speak for anyone else, but I'm not interested in these "special" modes and it won't get me playing longer. Hate to say it - but I just don't see new modes saving TO. The only thing that can save TO (long term as opposed to their quick cash-grabs) is fixing the balancing and that includes MatchMaker. There's a core of players that thrive on ultra-power, but can they sustain TO while a large group of F2P tankers quit in frustration? I don't believe they can.
-
No. It ignores ALL protections of every kind - even spawn protection. A magnum-hornet with OD activated and DD enabled can one-shot a Titan sitting in it's dome with DA + 50% magnum protection.
-
Event modes only - spreading the already thin numbers of players among even more battle modes would render MM useless.
-
Nope. You already get crystal rewards from battle funds and missions. And Challenges if that's your thing. "top 100" is optional. You want to get there - work for it.
-
Haven't seen one yet. How many hours before or after server restart?
-
Rugby with relatively flat terrain and a straight run to the goal = automatic score with that OD. Other than that, yeah, it's a sideshow.
-
From the way things have been handled I'd say ALL of them.
-
Well if you bought RGC then you have both options available. Unequip RGC and it will do what you want.
-
So you agree that magnum is not right for this game since the maps actually provide very little overhead cover. Awesome that we are in agreement.
-
Well since we have to play the game on a map... I don't see your point. If 50% of the maps were like Subway or Esplanade it wouldn't be as much of a problem. But none of the maps are like Subway or Esplanade so... ?
-
It's not that they are "far-fetched". It's that they don't belong in the physics of the game. Who wants to play "defender" in assault when these hulls with leaping ability can just bypass the defenses? It's like Magum does not belong. An indirect fire turret in a game designed for LOS turrets. Plenty of walls and buildings to prevent being hit by all turrets except magnum. But very few places in most maps players can take cover from plunging fire. Hopper OD and Magnum just don't belong.
