  1. Why are you so optimistic? MM has been crap since it was introduced and they have made almost no substantial improvements in... how many years? Hornet OD has been running amok for years now - no signs Devs are balancing that either. And this summer experience-boost program has driven away half the low-to-mid rank players since it's a crappy deal for them. What is there to be happy about? It's much worse today than it was 4 years ago.
  2. Off peak hours - 1-3 hours after server re-start is when that happens - MM widens the rank-spreads to slot players into battles. And yes - it is just a stupid way to run MM. PLUS - many low to mid-rank players are not even playing during the summer - it's just not worth it. You were lucky - it's usually the other way around - MM has trouble slotting in lower ranks and puts them into Legend battles. Absolutely hated it when I was mid-rank and and MM put 2-4 legends in my battles. They come in halfway through and still grab the top-3 spots - shafting lower-ranked players who deserved those final positions.

    Just finished a CTF battle in Parma - AT LEAST 4 hornets on enemy team - smoked us 5-0. Player base keeps dwindling. This dumb "extra experience" thing all summer will ruin them faster. The buyers will have no one to beat up on and will stop buying. Why spend $$ to lose to another buyer?

    Go back to what? MM is here to stay. But they could fix it. They've had plenty of time, but they don't seem interested in improving it. They think the continuation of Challenges and special events will make up for it. I think they are wrong.

    Similarly to the previous one, I can't relate (at least not too often) that this kind of thing happens often. You may not get placed into half-way finished battles, but it happens to many players and is very annoying - spending the time waiting to get into a battle and it's basically over before you arrive. Well what account? When my alt account was Brigadier it had battles against Legends. Not all the time - but often enough to be quite annoying. I'm not joining battles to pad the scores of upper ranks. It's challenging enough when you face buyers of your rank, or enemies 2-4 ranks above you. 6-8 ranks is just dumb.
  6. 1) Neglecting DA & ignoring shaft module is the same thing as having permanent hornet OD. A) how do you not understand the comparison? and B ) how do you not understand how OP that would be? And +20% damage with DD to boot? 2) Well - you are the one suggesting no laser for a damage reduction. You've only supplied half the idea. What is the rest? How much damage are YOU willing to give up to have no laser?

  8. Patch Notes #600 Augment for Railgun «Large caliber rounds»: Reload time increase is now 20% instead of 50%. BUT ... WIKI shows time for RAIL as ... Reload Time = Charge Time (2.60) + Shot delay (1.1) = 3.70 Augment seems to pool the two components together for penalty to total time. 3.70+20% = 4.44 seconds.

    Might be a small proportion of players, but I don't believe it so for majority of players. MM has a LOT of issues that should be worked on instead of the crappy bells-and-whistles they focus on. MM has basically been the same since after the beta-test with no improvements And yet... - I keep getting the same maps over and over and over. They are not randomizing the entire pool - they are rotating it in smaller groups. Hate that. - Battle starts for some players before others - and one side caps a flag in under 1 minute due to no opposition. - I get placed in battles that are half over with score 3 or 4 - 0. No thanks. - Rank spreads are often way, way too wide. Players should not be expected to compete against players 8 (or more!?!) ranks higher than them - There are groups vs none-groups - which causes a huge imbalance in the teams. - If one side loses players, often they get no replacement players, even when battle is close - has nothing to do with players joining and leaving - MM just does not fill the slots. - There are still mults in MM - this is not isolated to MM - but still there none-the-less The above are just some of the issues with MM that leads to increasing frustration among player-base. MM could have been a useful tool for TO. But it was implemented very poorly.
  10. Which of the two ideas are you comparing this too? And LCR still has a range of damage and is not guaranteed to one-shot medium hulls.

    It allows the possibility of one-shotting tanks. Some people like that. If you don't like that choose the augment that stabilizes damage more.

    Well, this is such an uncommon occurrence. Maybe a heavy hull with 50% hammer protection? Don't see that often at all. The fact is, getting 5 shots in a clip instead of 3 incurs no penalty. That is pure upgrade.

    It used to have a penalty but that seems to have been removed. Can't find the patch note though. What happened to patch note 607? It's not on the Forum.
  16. The way things have gone so far for me on that front - I'd be better off if containers were never added to the game. I have a net loss compared to most other players. I fall behind as they get decent rewards and I do not.

    Well the range was nerfed at one point, right? If it's 25m turret to turret it's basically 22m front to front. Why are you splitting hairs on this?

    What possible scenarios are there where stock (3 shots) is better than HCAC (5 shots)? 5 is better than 3, no? And as mentioned there is no downside to adrenaline. It's not comparable to say Incendiary band where you damage yourself (if you don't have heat immunity) in order to get the effects.

    For many of the augments the plus far outweighs the negative and I would consider them pure upgrades. Hammer high-capacity drum and Isida nano-mass reactor have no nerfs at all. Same with Adrenaline.

    Well I measure distance as in front of tank to front of tank - and this makes more sense for ODs which emanate from the HULL. So my estimate of 22m seems bang on to me.
  22. The Impact should take a nerf - it's basically double the impact of Thunder. No way it should have the impact it does when it fires so fast.

    Probably - it is a noob feature. But... it's not quite as bad as you describe. The enemy turret has to be pointed right at you for silhouette to appear. Don't get me wrong - I think it is dumb. But it's not quite a beacon-like feature... yet.
