    Viking and... wasp (if they cant clear area) and... ? Mammoth? Sure - but you have to be within spitting distance. Dictator? Have to be lucky - no difference from regular play. Titan? See dictator Hunter? See dictator Does not seem like you can get "instant kills" from many ODs, outside of luck. And luck is not a strong strategy IMO.

    I look at the incendiary benefits this way... 1) The damage diff between regular hit and critical hit at mk7+ is not very high. You give up some extra damage, but afterburn more than makes up for it. 2) Target has two sources of damage to protect against, and one of them (afterburn) is very expensive 3) A lot of targets have either smky module or DA or both. Afterburn helps cut through that as it does more total damage 4) DD also works on the afterburn - so if they don't have DA I do 300 damage per tic. I can one-shot a surprising amount of tanks with DD enabled. I've used stock smoky when alerations not enabled and I find it very meh compared to incendiart. But in the end it's what we are comfortable using. If it's not for you, stick with the other set-ups you find more effective.

    This affects me in two ways... If it's a Legend battle and 1-2 players on my team have GS <= 5000 (obvious mults) then I will leave If my alt account gets placed in a battle and my GS is 2000 < than everyone else, then I will leave. 1 Marshal and 15 Legends? No thanks.

    Well, they haven't changed MM much since it was introduced - so hope is dwindling. A lot of people are frustrated with it, but improving MM seems to be low on their priority. I suspect it works the way the Devs intended, so I'm not holding my breath. Battle fund is only a minor way to get funds. Containers and mission rewards make up the bulk of that. And in Pro-battles the fund is not divided well. It is a relatively poor source of income for most players.

    When you first spawn and you see enemy running away with your flag, you are most likely on the side that will lose.

    Maybe not "powerleveling" - but - if you don't play MM you won't be able to upgrade. MM IS considered a grind by many, and having battles > 6.5 minutes on maps we like is considered "fun" by many. No battle-fund in Pro is not a blessing - it forces players into MM (as designed). If they don't play MM to some extent they will never keep up with players that do both. If missions could be done in Pro-battles, MM would have half the players it currently does, and would just collapse.
  18. Agreed. Guess it depends on how high Ares is including float-distance and how easy it actually is to push. It has no ground resistance so.. even a wasp should push it. Or does it drop to ground when not moving? Wonder if the OD ignores Titan Dome - everything else seems to...

    You seem surprised. This is how I see it. MM is just a grind to get containers to be able to buy new items or upgrade the ones we have. Many players would not use MM if they could get containers playing on maps they like in battles that last more than the blink of an eye.
  21. It's not situational. A magnum RGC can be used on small maps to great effect - still one-shotting hunters out of Hunter OD range. That's what RGC is designed for - up close and personal. Hunter would lose that batle every time. Same with Shaft-RFM. My example above already described this - encounter up close and RFM is faster than Hunter OD.

    With OverDrives this ship sailed a long time ago. This is confusing. How can it be both? Are you saying on flat ground (where hovercrafts have no surface contact) Ares will not trigger mines?
  23. This is exactly what I'm tlking about. Hornet OD has no range limit. The only way a Hunter can stun them is if you completely surprise them from behind. Counting on that as a strategy is a fools errand. Gauss, Rail (LCR), Vulcan, Magnum and Shaft (RFM) all allow hornet OD to easily destroy tanks from afar. What do you think 90% of hornet users are equipping? And we haven't even addressed the spawn-protection by-pass.

    1) I don't know - you tell me - I'm not researching them. And I see no ranks in your screen-shots. 2) Will they ever "make" what? Progress? If they play they will 3) new accounts will have a hard time IF they encounter them in battle. IF. How many players do you actually think there are right now that have mk7 at low rank. 4) Yes - IF they play. If they play they will rank faster unless you play a LOT more than they do. They obviously won't rank up if they don't play. But if they don't play - who cares?
  25. Drone has nothing to do with it. So... current OP turrets with hornet... Rail, Vulcan, Gauss, Magnum, Shaft-RFM Multiple turrets combined with hornet are the issues. Hornet is the common factor that makes all these turrets OP. Whenever I use it I find it ridiculously powerful - more so than any of the other ODs. Stop defending the hull - The OverDrive is OP to everyone who does not heavily depend on it. Just finished a battle against a team with 4 hornets - they won 5-0. The shaft-hornets were able to kill my Hunter before it could activate OD - and we were 10m apart. It's just stupid.
