Sure - Sandal & Iran are tight spaces with lots of cover - good for ambush. Any map with wide-open spaces - or long corridors for shooting - and Hunter is at disadvantage. What's disappointing for me is - I liked my Vulcan (aside from previous spin-up nerf) + Hunter combo before these new ODs were introduced. But now Vulcan + Hunter-OD is a poor combination - and suffers in comparison to other turret-OD combos. The fact that ODs are the norm (charging way too fast) as opposed to something strategic and "special" is the reason this account is playing Pro-battles 90% of the time.
-
Why Hunter with Shaft? The OD is not really suitable - unless you use rapid-fire alt a lot.
-
Depends on the map and battle mode. For some this works better than others. Massacre? Not so much. I find Hunter OD "fails" far more than any other OD because you can't use it before an enemy is within range. And often that range is shorter than the enemies attack range.

Have you sent a note to Editor for WIKI? +50% dmg & 2x fire duration is waaaaay too much for losing the afterburn. Makes Isida look like a water-pistol.

My container rewards for past 2-3 weeks have been pretty terrible. if not supplies then it's a paint I don't need. 1-in-15 gives me 3500 crystals. Have not seen > 10k crystals in over 4 months. Overall I think they have reduced the rewards. Only my secondary account does MM now. This one has switched to Pro-battles.

And hope you are not facing a hornet duplet. They have killed me many times as I try to activate. What was the explanation for the 1 second delay? Do any other ODs have a delay like that?
-
Well - the Gauss can fill one of the other 2 slots... no? There are 3 after all... B)
-
Without the self-damage Wasp-bombs are running amok. Since they can take out anywhere from 1-5 players in one instant it seems silly they can't damage themselves. Explain that one to Thunder-users...
-
More importantly... how long after Gauss is released will they wait to introduce the protection module? 1 month? 2? 4?
-
How come when I use it feels like 1-2 seconds? (IF it actually works...)

Don't knock the 1 battery reward - that's like getting 300 crystals. ;) :D

Balance changes for Turrets, Alterations and Overdrives

Not what I've heard. Heard it was more like smoky Cryo - which instantly freezes you in place. No movement at all until you start to thaw. And this makes sense since Dictaor's ability is NOT like the turret - it is an instant effect. Dictator did not need something which emulates one of Hunters abilities - the ability to restrict enemy movement (stun or freeze - similar end result) -

Why? - crappy range? check. - 1 second delay where you can die and it fails? check - blocked by obstacles? check - does ZERO damage? check It is hardly OP... -

So you are dying before opponent does, even with your OD activated... There are a lot of factors that can cause this... - fighting a medium or heavy hull? Hornet has the least armor. - What type of enemy is killing you? Long-distance? Fire? Ricco is mostly short-range so you need to be fairly close. Hornet not as good up close. - Are you using DD + OD? You get way better results when combining the two. - Is opponent using an OD as well? - same rank/equipment? -

I don't understand what you mean by this... A hornet activating OD does not become weaker in any way. There's no "down-side" to activating. You are free to activate a DA, or other supplies if you have not done so already. -
Really? After all this time in the game... :o Cuz... $$ errr... "#balance"

If only the reveal-icons didn't cover the ENTIRE tank. makes targeting enemies a wee bit more difficult... -
It's not doubling the stars reward?

Nope. I'll be losing the same 20% but - since damage is increased, the actual damage lost is greater than before... That alteration was a waste of crystals. -

It's not useless - I use it a LOT. Better than stock at long ranges due to more frequent criticals that do not suffer range penalty. But I do agree the reload rate is not buffed in proportion to the damage nerf. The damage nerf could be lowered to 70% instead. With this new feature that is too similar to Hunter, it lowers Hunter's value. Dictator does not have an activation delay like Hunter does, and also has the "share" abilities. And why do Devs not fix Vulcan properly? It does not need another small damage buff. It just needs that ridiculous spin-up time lowered to what it was 6 months ago. -
Yup. All these numerous mini-sales are designed to bleed your account of crystals before the main sale comes. Then when you see 40% or 50% sale, some ppl might be inclined to convert $$ to crystals to take advantage of the bigger sale. Plus it benefits buyers more - they always have crystals available, and can maximize them through use of more MUs (on sale) with less speed-ups.
-
I disagree - but since we don't have hard numbers we'll have to agree to disagree. But chew on this... If Free players are leaving at greater rate than buyers, and the ratio of buyers increases... buyers are fighting more buyers. Then what advantage do they have? With no advantage, buyers will stop buying. Why spend $$ just to break even? Both will be decreasing...

ODs + Drones + alterations all contribute to fast killing. Killing tanks has been given more attention than surviving.
-
Twins does not have an overdrive... Neither does Thunder. Viking OD at 7 seconds is long enough. If you want to compare... Mammoth lasts 10 seconds - but range of the "zap" is 7m Hunter OD has short range and affects enemies for 3 seconds. But it has a delay of 1 second and can be killed by a Duplet between the time tab is pressed and it actually goes off. Wasp bomb is instant after the 3 second delay. All of the above example are also subject to same limitations of Viking - that perhaps there is only 1 enemy nearby. That's the choice you make when you activate - 1 enemy within site or multiple enemies in site.

Smoky and Striker are very different. They may have similar reload times, but smoky is much easier to get hits with. It's shots are instant and can't be dodged. Even though the Hunter alt makes the striker single-missiles guided - they can still be avoided by getting behind an object - even another tank.
