    This should not be happening. Last formula I saw... the first two shots after a critical have a negative % chance and it slowly works it's way upward. It's possible the Devs did not implement it properly, and the overall % chance is > 10%. Coding error... With autocannon you get yellow numbers quite frequently. It is way better than stock at longer ranges. Sure there are times when it might have the desired big impact. (how did you have plenty of health left? Was it just tickling you?) But on average... it is less effective because it takes longer to get to that stage. Any of the things I mention above can happen before that 10% chance kicks in. Supercumulative Critical is just ripe for being kill-stolen.

    According to WIKI - the arcade reload = 0.5 s ... yes... 1/2 second... same as Smoky autocannon (until energy depleted) So in practice it probably takes somewhere between 1 second and 1.5 seconds to empty the energy pool = 3 shots.

Can Hammer do that?" post# 7119 Shots from smoky, Thunder, hammer, shaft are instantaneous. As soon as you press space-bar server records a hit or miss. ~ no travel time.

    two seconds?? so here you assume that after firing a scope the Shaft with have a FULL CLIP and then finish off a hornet in 2 seconds? Because it can't finish it in 2 seconds if it has to reload This is not what I'm saying. I clarified that as "OR". The two seconds was the amount of time it takes to deliver 3 shots IF the reload is 1 second. If we follow how you say it is, shooting 3 times will take 3 seconds alone, and if you add the delay of the first 2 shots (.5 each) that will add a second making it 4 seconds to unload the entire clip You misunderstand what delay is... "delay" = Re-load. Re-load = delay. Shot -- 0.5 -- Shot -- 0.5 -- Shot. One second to deliver 3 shots.

    Please re-read what I posted. What you infer from my post is NOT what I am saying. And you are wrong about how long it takes to deliver 3 shots. SHOT -- delay --SHOT -- delay -- SHOT -- (full reload as it is empty) That's 3 shots with 2 "delays". Who cares about the delay (actually full reload) after the 3rd shot. The 3 shots have already been delivered.

    You must be slow on the space-bar if it takes you 3 seconds to fire 3 shots. No delay before the first shot. It's already "loaded". And you are saying they have changed the reload time? It WAS 0.5 seconds. I read what you posted and then I clarified - which it seems you did not read. I meant that you can scope someone at long range, OR you can have the option to fire rapidly at close range if needed. Can Hammer do that?

    (What does WIKI currently say about reload? The original announcement had reload at 0.5 seconds) Shot - delay 0.5 seconds - shot - delay 0.5 seconds - shot. That is 3 shot's in ~ 1 second. Don't add a "delay" to first shot - there is none. My point about scope/arcade was not that it happens immediately after. My point was that shaft with this alteration has the best of both worlds. At a distance... scope and kill up to medium hull. Enemy approaching camping spot? Can deal 3 quick shots to kill a light hull ~ 1 second after first shot. Don't use Duplet as a comparison. Everyone knows that alteration is broken. Even then - it can't touch you beyond 60-70m.

    3 shots is 2 reloads so if 1 second per re-load that is... 2 seconds. Sure there are turrets that can one-shot a light hull. But they typically suck at close range due to the mechanics, or do very little damage beyond short range. Shaft can one-shot a Viking with scope. Then also, in two seconds kill a hornet if it happens to be close? Not supposed to work that way. The game works rudimentarily on a rock-paper-scissors scheme. Look at Hammer. yes up close it can one-shot hulls. But at range... pfffft... can't touch them. Rock-paper-Scissors. ------------------------------------------------------------- Looked at archive and found this... "arcade shot reload decreased to 0,5s". if reload is still 0.5 then that would be three shots in slightly over 1 second. Even more OP then discussed above.

    I'm not a fan of gold-boxes but it IS a strategy. It also says as much about your team as it does about the player dropping gold.

    You get the critical 1-in-10 (instead of 1-in-5) By the time it goes off one of the following could easily happen... - Target is hidden - Target is dead from regular shots - Target is finished off by someone else - You are dead - Target has very low health and any type of shot would finish it, making a 2x crit redundant For the above reasons I would never consider buying that alt. But if you are happy with your purchase then keep using it. :) My smoky use? I bought the auto-cannon and equip that 100% of the time. So... I get a lot of criticals. Much better at long-range than stock since criticals get no damage reduction for range.

    So you want to be able to kill a light hull in 1.5 seconds with Shaft alternate shot? Does not seem reasonable - most turrets take more time than that.

    Lets keep it very, very simple. Say Stock smoky crit = 100 dmg @ 20% Then... Supercumulative crit = 150 dmg @ 10% Which one do you think does more damage over time? You are cutting your chances in half - but only gaining +50% to damage. That's a poor deal. You would have to be extremely lucky to one-shot that Viking you are aiming at - it's not like there's a counter telling you which shot will be the critical.

    Not from my experience... they need bigger maps or fewer tanks. Sandal, Sandox, Bobriusk, Barda, Red Alert - all too many tanks for DM in map that size.

    Well you said benefit of Magnum was being able to hide behind a wall/building while shooting. You no longer get that benefit at 0-degrees because you must have LOS to target enemy. That's already standard for Thunder. And Thunder can peek-a-boo since it can turn the turret. Magnum can not.

    It's not impossible. Challenging - yes. Impossible - no. You need to manage crystals wisely - spend only on sales and have no more than 2 combos - one of which is a medium hull. Another aspect is how much you play. If you play a lot after completing missions you may struggle more since your crystal:exp ratio will then drop. Immediately drop out of battles that are half-over when you arrive - waste of time and supplies. Same with team battles where it looks like team-members are inactive. That's a sure sign your team will lose - badly.
  24. Smoky Autocannon has impact nerfed a lot - 85%. All the ranged turrets with Incendiary Alts are goofy. Smoky is way worse than Vulcan - it does not need to self-destruct to do fire damage.

    No. Lower reload allows you to fire faster yes. But trying to apply DPS to weapons with reload does not work. What is DPS of stock shaft? Set it to 0 and fire at the building in front of you? Won't hit many targets that way...
