    Batteries are used to keep the drone flying - 1 per minute. That's the only cost. WIKI does not mention anything about extra battery usage for triggering effects. Whether you do nothing, or do lots, the cost is 1 battery per minute.

    We already have this ability in the battle without the Hornet OD being activated. The stolen flag is a beacon saying "come get me". For Viking - depends on how mechanics work... if it is > 100% re-load rate could be issues. Hammer duplet with DD re-loading at extreme rate could kill anything quickly.

    There is no modification after m3. Your example is different, as there are 2 m-levels separating them - m0 to m2. If you have m2 module, you can keep upgrading that no matter what rank you are. IF there was an actual m4 level, it would be an issue. But there is no official m4 - it's actually m3+. M3 is only one level removed from m2.

    You can - it just does not turn them into a block of ice. Module doesn't nullify the freezing - it reduces it. You have to keep moving as the target slowly rotates. But that's no different from Isida having hard time killing a heavy hull with 50% module. 2500 damage vs 4000 health at m4? Or a Rail that was hoping to one-shot a light hull - except it had the module on.

    For Isida, Titan is too slow. You can't really attack enemies with it. And unless the flag carrier is heavy hull as well you will be of little use as it outdistances you. It is good for defending in a base - especially Assault (Blue). But if you need to move? Nope. Viking is actually one of the best hulls for isida because 1) it can close on enemies relatively quickly and 2) it can keep up with majority of flag carries and 3) it allows you to capture flags as well, since Viking is only slower than the two light hulls. If for whatever reason you won't use Viking, Hornet is a decent option for Isida. You can get to team-mates quickly (I can just picture Titan trying to get to team-mate under fire and not making it on time), and you can close on enemies very quickly as well. The less time you travel to enemy the more damage you will inflict. It's also good for escaping with flag when opportunity presents itself. I only ever equip Isida-Titan when I know I won't have to move more than 20 or 30 m.

    According to WIKI, that's not how drone's work. They only work at all if equipped. Under correct circumstances they trigger. While equipped from garage they use 1 battery per minute of battle. So in an 8-minute MM battle the most batteries that can be consumed is 8.

    But a few seconds of Rail firing every second is much different from a smky firing every second. Having anything more than double firing rate is way beyond anything reasonable. Well what is the range of the Hunter's EMP? Pretty sure the rail can shoot farther than that...

    Um... what about those on winning team that use it when score was 7-0 and they spawn-killed for last 2 minutes? I've seen that plenty. And there's no way they meant that as a compliment to the punching bag losing team. It is an insult.

    That's the way it works? Why? It should reduce re-load time by a factor. say 2 (= 100% faster) - for ALL turrets with re-load. Firing 1 shot per second makes no sense - high damage turrets would have a much better return on the OD. In 8 seconds they would kill multiple opponents easily. That would wreck the game. OD is supposed to give you a "leg up", not turn a player into god_mode_on. Halving reload for fixed time period (20 or 30) seconds would be the most fair application IMO.

    You'd think in Pro-battle no-supply CTF on Serpuhov (Red), a team with 4 isidas would do ok. I mean, they should have no problem healing and transporting the flag. Not my team. Most were sitting around on the left side (away from flag) healing the magnums and shafts who were playing TDM. IF they actually did move forward to play CTF, you'd think they'd follow another tank and heal it as it transported the flag. Nope. They charged forward solo and died quickly. Repeating this many times... :wacko:

    I'll take that over Match-Maker. There are more blow-outs now and they are worse. At least before I could see what was happening, and actually decide to join the losing side if it was not a blow-out. And... at least there was the early battle termination if too many tanks left one side. Now... MM placers us into battles with 3 min left and the side you join getting spawn-killed. Guess what I do... quick exit and wait to make sure MM does not place me right back into that unwinnable game. Now instead of 1 person starting early and capping one flag... one team seems to have 8 players active while the other team has only 3-4 for 1-2 minutes. And team with 8 caps at least 2x while spawn-killing the 4. Which is worse?

    You mean cuz that light-weight Viking was flipped during that little "bump" and then needs to self-destruct? :o Kinda like a soccer player who senses an opponent brush their jersey... ;) As an aside... how will Viking OD impact Shaft scope and Striker salvo?
  21. Modules, and MUs on equipment and modules is a huge investment. Not having a good supply of crystals when that 35%-50% sale drops is a huge missed opportunity. In today's tanki, you need all the modules, and they need to be closer to 50% than 35%. I don't plan on any more turrets or even hulls for this account. So while I slowly upgrade everything, I can also try to save for something else. Whether that is a drone or alteration have not decided. But if you don't MU that drone it's lost potential. And that's another source of crystals out the door. My alt account is a Colonel and there's not a chance I spring for drone any time soon. At least not until batteries get cheaper (= better conversion the the free supply-end) and MUs for drones actually become part of MU sales. I'm a casual player, so the new mission system has put a dent in my income. I complete the 10-mission one weekly, but the others often take > 1 week, which then becomes 2 weeks because of fixed re-set day. That's a net loss versus before the update.

    I would agree Viking OD is probably more effective in DM mode, where the sole purpose is killing. That OD does have more "offensive" side. For team battles (like CTF) though, it is probably more of a wash because 1) killing is only part of the goal and 2) even if you don't share a language it is still fairly easy to get next to team-mates and press shift. But as we don't know specifics (like duration) or how some turrets are affected, it's hard to tell.
