    Nerfing the shaft (turret)

    Unless you are playing TDM, the shaft wins just by "forcing" you to ignore the goal of the battle you are in.
  3. Just finished a TDM and there was a 2900. It is just stupid. Playing some battles to get Congo off my back - now the "you need to play the game" card is obsolete. The game is just as bad as when I stopped playing. Probably will not play anymore after this. Really don't miss the game at all.
  4. I think there was even a 3500 GS. It was ... pathetic. And this was 4 hours before server re-set. Not just before or just after.

So played about 10 battles or so the other day - I'll wait for Congo to recover from shock - one of the main reasons there might be some players without drones is that I was playing against Majors and Lt. Colonels. A spread of 10 or even 11 ranks. LOL. MatchMaker is just as dumb as it was when I stopped playing 2 months ago.
  6. 20 min might be too long for sure. And the double-nerf to autocannon was harsh.
  7. Remove Status effects. Lots of disappointing updates but that was the last straw for me.
  8. longer than 7 min? Brest, Highways, Stadium I leave immediately, regardless of battle length. As I'm sure many players do regarding the maps they dislike. (I don't mind Scope. Dusselfdorf ok for battles > 7 min) How would any of the balance changes change my mind on that? If maps suk, they suk. Period. ?
  9. For many maps it is not. On the larger maps 7 min is terrible. Players rarely load with 7 min on the clock. More like 6:30. And in some cases the 7 min battle are over after the first CAP while opposing team is still loading.
  10. Why includes modules that are not Armadillo? Players will just vote against the module that protects against their fav turret. Modules already received a significant nerf when Critical Hits were introduced. And another nerf due to AP status effects from turret augments.

    1-3 out of 16 is not "quite a number". In other words 80-90% of the players ARE using drones. I didn't need to make a "guess" since I that's pretty much what I expect. I may actually play once just to troll players with smoky cryo rounds. They took off the nerf to critical damage - so why not use it? ?

    What is your definition of "quite a number"? Why would that be? 1) they lose out on getting supplies up to max value 2) they lose out on whatever benefit the drone itself offers. Are these all low-rankers that end up playing against high-rankers because of the ridiculous rank-spreads? Or did they fix that while I was away for 8 weeks?

  14. Incendiary band and heat immunity no longer work together. It's not even close to the OP-ness it used to be. And Isida does not get scoring for healing a team-mate that self-damages, so the incentive is gone there. It's mostly everyone for themselves.
  15. Hornet did not require much skill once it got it's unique OD.
  16. 1) barely used viking since they swapped it's characteristics with Hunter - and that was before ODs were added. I went out and bought Hunter after that and only sporadically used viking. Titan and Hunter are my most-used hulls since introduction of ODs. 2) Are you saying you never used hornet-rail during it's 2+ years of dominance? The only other hulls you've used much at all are hovering hulls. Hornet before status-effects were introduced makes viking look like a pop-gun.
  17. Since it's been introduced you earned > 340,000 xp while using Booster. In comparison I've earned < 60,000 xp considering all my drones. I made that post because you were calling out someone for using an OP drone. While you do the same thing. It's the kettle calling the pot black.

  20. My bad - was thinking it was higher for some reason. (maybe I was thinking of LCR - even then it won't quite kill a light hull) In any event - my point on trying to compare ranged turrets via "DPS" still stands. It's comparing apples to oranges.
  21. The "very small base damage" is > a smoky critical and every other shot is a guarantee kill on a light hull. That 4 sec reload doesn't seem so bad in light of the above.
  22. If you can't understand why you can't compare DPS of Rail with "DPS" of Smoky, I can't take you seriously. Amend that... If you can't understand why trying to use "DPS" with ranged weapons is a mistake, I can't take you seriously.

    I answered the question you asked, not the one you think you asked. 9 months... what? I STOPPED PLAYING THE GAME 7 WEEKS AGO. PERIOD. I never claimed anything else.
