So you forgot the "." and then the "?" when you posted? That would read entirely different for anyone looking... ;)
-
Are you referring to the 0 with a star immediately to the right? That's your STAR counter for this weeks special event. Guess you have not completed any battles as of this posting... Your power-rating is GS: 1614

Is that the one that ignores resistance modules? So they can equip DD then activate OD? = 1-shot kills + almost 1-shot kills on everyone in the splash area? And the slight, vulnerable hornet need not leave the protection of it's base to do this? O-M-G :o

Get used to it... what? :o It takes 3+ seconds for the stupid barrels to spin up. By the time bullets start to fly... 1) Target has found cover 2) Vulcan is killed 3) Someone else has killed the target Are we supposed to run around randomly spinning up just in case a target suddenly appears? Do the Devs not test anything in battle conditions before they role out changes? OR... maybe they just want everyone owning a Vulcan to fork out crystals for the alteration... yeah... maybe that's it. Cuz as it stands, Vulcan is HOT GARBAGE.

The point of this update was supposed to be a "fix" for Vulcan. was considered weak and messed up due to firebird afterburn tweak. Or so we were led to believe. Instead they made it so we have to spend 100k/50k in order to have the turret usable on any map other than highways or massacre. Currently the turret is so slow it has no use on any map with cover - Sandal and Polygon being perfect example. Shaft is better in melee with it's arcade shot. That is sad. I know it seems like... F-O-R-E-V-E-R, but... is it really 5+ seconds? No wonder I've lost most of my health before I actually start to do damage. Or someone else destroys the target. This current Vulcan would be utter garbage in DMs... every single target would be dead before spin-up completed.
-
Well... 1) Vulcan was considered weak by many players and needed a buff. 2) The overheating was not a design - it accidentally carried over from Fire afterburn tweaks. So AT BEST it is power-neutral, but a different turret from the one I bought and have gained skill in over past 6 months. Did I mention Vulcan needed a buff? Still waiting... <_<

They have ruined Vulcan. By the time you get the barrels spinning target is either in your face or under cover. They made it Rail, but without the high instant damage. It's terrible on any map that does not have a LOT of open spaces. Good luck in Industrial Zone...
-
Totally useless on any small-medium map where enemy can close the distance. Or any map with cover. So... Massacre and maybe... highways? Except shaft still rules highways. Hey Devs - I don't use rail (at all) for reason!
-
They've ruined Vulcan. Takes waaaaaaaay too long to spin up now. Target gone before the ammunition starts to leave the barrel.
-
If you are already spending 5+ hrs per day playing tanki I guess you can say they are free. For everyone else who has a life, not so much. I mean if you don't value your time at all, go for it!

Well it's a sweet, sweet time for my alt account which happens to have chosen Freeze and Vulcan as it's turrets to develop. Enjoyed the recent "Ice Age" and will now partake in the bounty of the gods - namely Vulcan

You keep saying this and I keep going :o

I get that it is our choice to try for those very, very high targets. But have Devs considered... These "special events" tend to ruin game-play of Team battles. They really become every-one-for-themself trying to get those 1st or 2nd places that give extra stars. A small % of players who are hard-core play 24-7 to get the target, while a significant number of players decide to "sit this one out" and play only to complete some missions. Every time I see the "crazy weekend" or "10x golds" (blecchh) or these outlandish targets of 100-700 stars I barely play. The battles are less fun than Match Maker has currently made them - as impossible as that seems. And I don't think I'm alone in avoiding this mess.

Your contributions to the discussion are... "Isida's DPS still needs to be decreased by a significant margin, do not forget that." "Yes it does, it destroys most hulls way too fast. Freeze module reduces both damage and freezing, Fire module reduces afterburn and normal damage. Unfair to give a healer the highest DPS." I offered explanations for the second set of quotes. Your stone silence on the matter was very reassuring. Try a little harder if you want people to take you seriously.
-
Is probably a shaft player that keeps getting ambushed by Isida. Either stays in one spot entire battle or forgets to lay mines...
-
They want to suck away your crystals now. Then, when 50% sale comes and you don't have enough crystals to make use of it.... $$$$ ;)
-
Would it have killed you to mention the Drum-reload in one of your earlier posts? When one doesn't use Hammer then one forgets it has that aspect... ;) (Main account get banned?)
-
First off - they need to revamp how stars are handed out. Originally they said 1 star for completing a battle. They never mentioned the minimum score of ~ 100 required. But then, Match-maker can place you in a battle that is more than half over, so you might actually get ZERO stars. If they really want players to stay in half-finished battles, TO needs to reward 1 star for completing a battle - regardless of score. Or at least divide the required score by the amount of time left in battle when placed there. Else NO ONE will stay in partial battles.
-
Freezing is considered part of Freeze attack so of course that is reduced. If it just did (more) damage instead, the module would reduce a greater amount of damage, correct? Same with Firebird... the module affects both because it needs to. If it only affected direct damage Fire would be way too OP. This is not a role-playing game. Isida needs to be able to attack just as well as other turrets - how can it heal in DM? Isida can only attack 1 enemy at a time, and for 5 seconds only. The other turrets do not have this restriction.
-
Good news on the Isida tweak - was desperately needed. Regarding Vulcan... "significantly increased the length of time before overheating starts" - this applies to all hulls, including heavy? "slowed down the speed of turning and barrels spinning before firing" - what is the "speed of turning" in reference too? Seems independent from "barrels spinning"...
-
LOL... During these "special events" the battles become everyone out for themselves - even the team battles. Ruins the actual battles. Your explanation in no way mitigates the fact that players will likely average about 1.5 stars per battle. So playing 67 battles to get 1 container (that could easily have common supplies or useless WC paints) is kind of pathetic.
-
Guido - this your alt? You might notice I made a correction to my post about same time your post was made. Otherwise I never responded to YOU. So get bent.
-
Some people complain that Viking is OP because it has good speed and medium-hull protection. I wonder if they've ever used battle.
-
And another battle where team #s not even. Maybe someone can explain why a team winning 1-0 after 3 minutes suddenly loses 2 tanks and it remains 6 vs 8 for the rest of the battle. We lost 3-2 This makes absolutely NO SENSE
-
Just tested - shots look like they leave the gun with same amount out time between shots. So knockback between versions should be same.
