I use MFS on ALL maps - even ones like Barda. It's not just the range increase - it's the speed of the shots. Harder to dodge and they deal damage much quicker. Plus the impacts are closer together and throw off aim better. If you can't kill your target with a full clip it won't matter how fast you recharge.

Copy-Cat. ;)

Nah... didn't have Africa - had some other "lesser" ones Loam and Cherry [gave me an m1 Vulcan module after conversion - no point in upgrading that]. Wanted to use stock Africa so it would be a simple example... players paid 300k for it. Hopefully they received ~ 300k value for it as at that time as only a few select buyers might have paid anything over 30k for a paint sans protection. For example Cherry paint sits in my garage and never gets used. I wouldn't pay even 20k for it. I wanted it for the protection it offered. Did I get > 100k value on that for conversion?
-
Well for all practical purposes Striker can't do a salvo either :D . You can try to sit there for 3 plus seconds aiming - but - good luck.

1) The players paid for the protection on LGC... the paint was a throw-in before separation. This is what I was referring to wrt "secret formula". So for Africa, what was the "value" a player would have received for their module? Let's consider a stock one to keep it simple. 2) A circular argument. Of course the "new modules" cost more than what I paid for - since TO multiplied the cost after I paid. #mafiaaccounting?
-
Did the LGC paints purchased (example Africa) get credited for their full value (300,000 crystals) during the conversion? If I had - from all my triple-modules - 3 versions of Thunder at 43% and 3 versions of Shaft at 43%, etc... all I ended up with at end was 43% for each of those. The evaluating of new protections at 3x the value of old ensured the conversion was not in my favor.
-
as opposed to the "secret conversion formula" actually used? The 3x increase in price ensured many did not get compensated. Another flaw in the conversion done was ignoring duplicate modules from 2017 system. Player A bought 3 triple M3-modules covering 7 protections - lets say they own a Thunder and like to be covered on a few combos. Player B bought 3 triple modules covering 9 different protection - lets say does not use Thunder and not worried about Splash damage. After conversion Player B has protection from 2 more turrets than Player A, even though they invested the same amount of crystals. To catch up Player A needs to invest 250k-500k crystals just to catch up. And yet did not receive any batteries for those two duplicate protections they invested in.

Yeah, Vulcan is vulnerable up close - the rotation is not very good and quick hulls can escape the stream of bullets.
-
I think part of the outcry over the removal of LGC modules was the players were going to lose items they invested a lot of crystals in with no compensation. Usually that 4th protection was moderate at best, and many times a token %. And turns out they were correct. very few players received decent (if any) compensation for their investments. I had a number of LGC modules and though I did not lose nearly as much investment as others did, I received no batteries. Nada. pretty sure when they converted they subtracted (at least part of) the cost of the paint even though it had no effect on gameplay.

Skylark is awesome - has everything (except tunnels). - wide open sniper zones - gulleys - bridges - many elevations - good for all combinations No idea why they refuse to add it to the MatchMaking rotation.
-
Yup - love that map for Vulcan. Burst of shots. Move forward as it spins down. Spin up before you top a hill and burst away. repeat. Wish Skylark was in rotation as I think that map would be awesome for Vulcan. Long distances, multiple bridges... paradise. Captain account just bought a Pro-pass to "catch" 25 golds. Will have to see if I can get a Skylark battle going there.

Could it BE more annoying?

1) Extra compensation has nothing to do with MM. It is a separate update implemented at same time as MM. 2) THE reason players leave the battle is lack of balance. Supplies are just one of the factors that create imbalance. Some factors that contribute to imbalance - Ranks - team-wise or individual - Ability - not all players of same rank have same skill - and some teams get the better distribution of skill - Groups - battle groups versus mixed random individuals creates uneven power - Inactive tanks - lag, getting a drink, purposely not participating - Supplies Other reasons (besides imbalance) players exit a battle - Map - players often leave a map they are placed in by MM because they don't like it - Too much time has elapsed ... < half the battle remaining - system errors - kick out the player - lag - can't play properly, or even get kicked out when visiting garage

Depends on the map/circumstances. Up close, yes Twins dominates with it's never-ending fire and high impact. But as Vulcan has 50% weak damage, it can shred targets from across even the largest of maps. Used properly it is awesome at suppression-fire - like on the bridge of Kunger. Many enemies change their mind about crossing that long bridge exposed to Vulcan's relentless onslaught. Depends on how you define "weak". There's on-paper weak - just looking at DPS/DPM. On paper Striker is not weak. But then there's another aspect.... A turret might have high damage per shot - but it might hit on only 1/3 shots it fires. That means it is not coming close to it's damage potential. And compared to a turret (Thunder for example) that hits on most shots, then Striker might be considered weak.

0-fer-3. There's a reason people are exiting a battle on the losing team - for the most part it is because the battle is not close. With that in mid you will not... - get a decent score. You have half the amount of time vs most of the other players in the battle. - The more time you spend dying and re-spawning the less time you have gaining score or capping points - When you start a game half-way through you're chances of getting OverDrive are decreased drastically, especially since OD is tied to scoring. I never said losing excludes fun and I do not expect to win every battle. What I do expect is to have a fair chance. Joining a battle with no chance of winning is by no accounts fair. Ties in battles that are fought fairly are perfectly fine. So you were wrong on all accounts - stop trying to sugar-coat it. Placing players in half-finished battles to prop up this poorly designed MM is not the answer. The only players who benefit from this are the those on the team already winning. ----------------------------------------------------------- First battle MM placed me in after posting the above... CTF Forest. Other team winning 5-0 and most of them in our base , all drugs activated, spawn-killing. System works swell :D
-
I enter battles to... - complete missions - get a score = crystals - have fun Being placed in a half-finished battle on the losing team accomplishes none of these. I will always exit those battles as they are a waste of my time. I agree - there are a lot of good maps that have been excluded. And the "randomness" of those maps seem odd - the same ones keep cropping up.
-
Do you understand the difference between... What something is capable of doing and what something was designed to do?

Some players have a pretty full garage. If option is to invest in a 7th turret, or Drones that (likely) make your current set more powerful, I can see many investing in the drones. Extra edge for what they've got versus another option that will take time to ramp up. Assault Drone seems tailor-made for enhanced spawn-killing. I think my Captain account ran into some of those in a Brest battle last night. Maybe they used up all the batteries they had but - was ugly and unbalanced - ended up 7-0.
-
Was reported in another thread - and thought it was fixed. If not fixed, I'm staying away from CP... the "losers" could seriously have better score than winners by killing more than capping.
-
You're definition of "a few" and my definition of "a few" are quite different. B) So 200 batteries from over 100 containers. And the week 10 reward gives... ~ 24? <_< Would take forever to save up enough to justify spending crystals on Drones (+ MUs). They're making batteries much, much harder to get compared to other supplies, so really this is Pay2Win.
-
A few? Between two accounts I opened ~ 25 containers. Lots of mines and speed-boosts ( ) but not one battery...
-
I did not say it. I was explaining that maybe you were exhibiting some hyperbole - as that quote was obviously from a cartoon. And you exhibit more hyperbole with the "control freak" analogy. But hey - have a nice day!
-
"What a maroon" could also be something quite harmless - like a quote from the Bugs Bunny cartoon.
-
Other team seems to have a mult (HOVO at 1-16) ... was gonna say maybe that's due to Isida but - score of 45? Does not seem right. So.. balanced in numbers anyway ;)
-
1. Good idea 2. NOT.A.CHANCE 3. Good idea 4. Pass 5. only part I find palatable is the cut-off for joining a battle - but - it's a double-edged sword. If applied the mercy timer needs to kick in. All the above sounds familiar (especially #2 & #5)... hmmm.... Tanki-X? We don't need this game to become Tanki-X.
