30k for 1.5 hrs of use??? :o :o :o
-
A simultaneous double-barrel (unguided) launch with a longer re-load? I'd go for that as I hate the shots alternating between tubes. Would be good as an Alteration.
-
I seen posted at times the unofficial requirements for receiving compensation was ~ 12+ fully upgraded triple modules. They set the bar extremely high by multiplying the module prices x3 to get the conversion.
-
Magnum / Shaft / Rail - hate those one-shot kills... For close-up and dirty I'd go with Twins / Ricco / Isida
-
"So far, we have seen more requests for batteries from modules than to remove drones." is a bit misleading. Many players lost a lot when the module "break-up" was done. I think those "requests for batteries from modules" has more to do with receiving some sort of compensation than it does with hating on supporting drones.

I had a (triple) module with Shaft protection all lined up - was unlocked for my alt account at rank of Captain.. So I was waiting for the birthday sale to get it at 50%. Then they did the Module "break-up". Waiting for the sale was a HUGE mistake. For the cost of a single module now I could have had protection from 3 modules. Now Shaft protection is only available at Major. :o

Depends on what M-level you are talking about. At m1 Hunter is clearly better > acceleration, > health, > stability. Viking only better at top speed. At m2 Viking overtakes Hunter - but - has a higher unlock. At m3 it's a wash - acceleration+stability versus top speed. Who is to say what is better? As for Hornet... it has > top speed and > acceleration. So it definitely gets to it's target significantly faster. This can be important when getting under cover with flag is more important than taking hits. A Viking without shaft protection is no safer than a hornet - both would die if hit once. Maybe that Hornet gets under cover just in time while the Viking does not. There are lots of hornets in battles so tankers must find them useful.
-
So... maybe 2 or 3 battles worth? :D Then ya gotta start forking out 300 crystals per use? :D  Guess you won't be buying a drone anytime soon.
-
IMO it does not seem like even trade-off.
-
For M3 kits - yes you have to wait 2 ranks. As for M2 kits (which you likely don't want now) you have exceeded the unlock rank for items in current cycle.
-
So net loss if you don't use Drones. And Mods will once again point out that weekly rewards have been increased. <_< Issue is... - that is old news and can't be used in perpetuity for every downgrade they do - everyone gets that benefit - so those who use drones come out ahead. Will have to see if the "free batteries" are enough... cuz at 300-a-pop it could be costly to use Drones.

You have to admit Striker does need an alteration - it kinda sux. First of all Magnums Splash radius is already too large. If you are going to increase it more the cost needs to be way higher. -25% damage at the minimum. M3... what is your definition of "something"? And how is that a negative if you are including the ground? Just keep lobbing shots near a flag... instant points. How do players avoid this area? How is it marked? What exactly will this after-burn do? Alterations are supposed to make the turrets different, not more powerful. So your "negatives" really need more work.

Yeah - the conversion was not explained well before the change - which would have helped some. And the way they did the conversion some people benefited a lot (buying all the single modules) while others lost out (those with multiples of same protection). For me... Pro: - Have (some) coverage for all turrets - can now make any combo needed Con: - will cost a lot to finish upgrading my modules - received no compensation (either batteries or boost to < 50 protections) for my duplicate protections - as of now spending time in garage (and sometimes getting booted) takes away from the already short 10 min battles They did not implement the change the way we were led to believe.
-
Alright... payout per battle not affected - just individual awards. 10 pts though seems a bit harsh.. no? Not just noobs driving into pits / off cliffs... coughlagcough
-
Another way to reduce our crystals? They giveth with one hand and taketh away with the other? I love that promotion blurb you see on loading screens.... "And if your tank flips over, just press self-destruct and you can re-spawn to continue fighting"... or something to that effect. Of course... the negative effects are not promoted. ;)

First off your example is so extreme - can't get any more extreme than 4 triple-modules that cover only 4 turrets. But here's where you went off the path... You end up with 4 single modules in new system, each worth 250k. So the value is 1M crystals. Same as money you already spent. So... no batteries. :(
-
Lt. Generals? Last night my captain account was playing in Brest and getting slaughtered way too quickly. I hit tab to see enemy - many were Generals. 7 ranks above me... No wonder I was struggling.
-
Here's what's wrong with that conversion system - two people who spent exact same crystals could end up with drastically different garage. Player 1 buys 4 triple-modules - all with different protections - ends up with 12 single modules. Player 2 buys 4 triple-modules - but covers 2 turrets twice - so ends up with 10 single modules. For M3 modules, player one has an extra 500k (250k on sale) worth of protections even though both players invested the exact same amount of crystals. That is just wrong. The Devs should have rolled the value of duplicate protections into one module... example... 42%+42% might give you 43% or 44% as one. This would be fair as the crystals spent are then rolled to new system.

Dropped into another 4-0 CTF battle. And once again I quickly exit - as I will do EVERY TIME this happens.
-
So waiting for the MU sale was a waste of time and crystals. Will cost me more now than it would have two days ago - especially if I MU-ed the triples with no overlap... No wonder they did not give us details on the "conversion" plan. We'd have spent our crystals already...
-
Oh you're doing fine. Just tempering your "buying" expectations... ;)

Since no one actually battles under the conditions you describe this "discussion" (I am being generous) is moot. Long-range weapons will always lose to short-range weapons unless they can soften them up from a distance. Just like short-range turrets will lose to long-range when at a distance. Ever play highways? One-shot kills as you spawn. Isida loses to twins unless you start side-by-side so lets move on to Firebird & freeze. Firebird might lose to an isida and still destroy it shortly after word. Or it might burn and run still doing damage to isida while hiding. Freeze - well if you don't use the slowing ability to get a huge advantage on the isida you are doing it wrong and need more practice. And you seem to discount the fact Fire/Freeze can damage/kill multiple enemies at at time.
-
yes... anyone who bought multiples of a specific module get shafted. Not sure "halfway there" is quite correct. Yes, you have 7 of the 13 (14) protections between 39% and 45%. However... Now protections cost 3x as much, and the MUs for each will cost 3x as much. Your ability to buy new protections and upgrade them is nerfed. Before the change you could buy a triple module that might have 3 new protections. But now it will cost you the same for 1 new one.
-
Well Legends go from 1 up to... infinity... so it probably depends on the number following "Legend". So early legends like me might have ~ 45% covering most turrets. Costs for each next step suck away resources, and it takes a long time. One could boost a few turrets to ~ 50% much faster but... not as efficient and likely leaves some turrets under-protected... But with ability to upgrade each module on it's own it's gonna be different.

Magnum already has a muzzle-brake so maybe a ... fume extractor (aka bore evacuator)
