You can't argue "that happened before MM..." while also disregarding fact that players could view the battles and choose one aligned to their rank. I see marshals more often than you suggest. "But yes the balance between bracket and wait time can always be adjusted." So... how much did that hurt to type out?

The rank spread is a bit wider than you are suggesting here. As a major (my alt) I'm seeing battles with Marshalls and I believe even some FM. M3 kits unlock at Lt. General and all m3 at Marshall. So many have had time to get M3+... not likely above 3.5 unless they are gung-ho. Against my m2.5 equipment. And no magnum protection since that split of protections locked me out of M2 until major. Not impossible to battle, but the fact they have more protections at higher levels widens the gap in power. This is just my opinion, but the rank-brackets needs to be tightened up some. Throwing lower levels into battle just to fill in the gaps for MM is << important than having players fighting their peers. (I don't consider rank spread of 8 = "peers")

Is using Overdrive on your own acceptable if you complete a majour task?

Not in a Team battle - especially when other team is using it. Not using it when you can to help your team borders on sabotage. -
If ranks were leveled out for both teams I doubt Legend players would complain. However there is nothing in pro-battles that forces rank-leveling. So a major joining a mostly legend battle handi-caps the team it plays on. No matter how hard that major tries, the equipment disparity will likely show up in most cases. No one wants to be on the "weaker" team when the battle starts. This would be especially important in battles like TDM where the lower rank, with less armor and less protection will get destroyed more often than a player with better defense.

Wide range of maxed-out protection modules + larger choice of turrets (all maxed out) is where buyers separate themselves from non-buyers. Not saying non-buyers can't compete (they can) but at low-mid ranks where most only have 1 or 2 combos with moderate protection, buyers definitely stand out.

Burning effect is after the fact. because Freeze has higher DPS it should be able to kill fire. It may die after as well do to afterburn, but all things being equal freeze should get the kill too. But that is assuming you are just fighting head-to-head. If you fight with freeze that way you are doing it wrong. When used properly freeze should be slowing and circling target, thus under fire for less time.

Since you can't lose the mission-chain, it works for everyone, even casual players. Even if they only play a few times per week, they will have regular income and a good crystals-to-experience ratio - just claim one mission per day, save unclaimed for days you can't really play. Other players may advance faster, but that is not important. it's what you can buy for your rank that is important.

Unless the "noob" encounters a lot of experienced players that refuse to use supplies, the noob will still be stomped. skill/exp + supplies > supplies I think even players who dislike supplies (count me among them) use them since there's no point in handi-capping yourself while doing missions.

What is your definition of "high rankers"? Anything 5 ranks or more above you can be considered "high" - it's all relative. And Matchmaker can definitely drop you into battles with players 5-6 ranks above you.

1 vs 1, sure. Bad teams tend not to be able to suppress better teams. The better teams are able to react more quickly because they are not under constant pressure. Trying to get off a salvo takes 3+ seconds (an eternity in TO), and those enemies who are not under constant pressure will have the luxury of targeting the Striker before it can get a lock-on. Usually it's more than 1. So every time it tries a lock-on it gets impacted by hits and often never achieves a lock-on. One could argue turrets like Thunder could suffer same consequences - but not true. A Thunder can stay hidden behind bushes/tress and fire without warning. it's shot is instant and there's no beacon to announce it's presence. Striker can shoot-and scoot but it's missiles are slower and you can more easily see where the missile came from. I find a giant gap in usefulness of striker when employed on the losing team. This gap is much wider than other turrets I've used. I've had top score in battle with other turrets, even while playing on losing team. Not so with striker. (and i agree it's best to ignore tea (hot or cold) while concentrating in a battle)

That's the pretty extreme end of the range - but I guess it can happen. You were unlucky - probably lowest rank in battle? I would not expect to see... 1) majority of your battles with 1st Lts 2) majority of players in your battles as 1st Lts

So updates should be based on specialty maps found only in "Pro-Battles", and with uneven odds? Two firebirds can kill my Titan Ricco. Nerf Firebirds ;) You mean an isida with Double Damage activated, right? -
might already have it and not understand how to equip... through alterations i believe I'm surprised they don't just hit "exit", or at least visit garage and switch turret...

Not saying it will be easy... it's always more difficult to fight a coordinated team. This is why I'm not a fan of battle-groups... they give a huge advantage. Even when it's just 3, a mini-clan versus randoms is lop-sided. -

- nerf twins impact - nerf magnum (they will never remove it, even though they should) - revoke the scoring nerf isida received - who will heal when you get 3x score for killing? - Cut the buff to freeze damage by half... went up +30% - should have been +15% - Cut boost of DA & DD by 50%. +50% is plenty of bonus. If you need more you... kinda suk. - Tweak protection modules down a bit (-5 to -10%) in conjunction with supply nerf. MatchMaking... - Remove Battle Groups - they can play with friends in Pro-Battles - Adjust threshold for being placed in battle to > 6 minutes - Add mercy timer back and end the battles that are out of hand - when team has +5 flags on a 7 cap battle... just end it. - ensure ALL 24 maps have equal chance - have not seen Osa or Future in 2+ weeks (but seen Brest way too often) -
OK - I don't disagree. My post was just to say that even though they may not be cost-efficient right now, drones will give (buyers) the upper hand. So I guess we are saying the same thing.
