  1. This is the second time you've posted this... and it sounds just as silly as it did the first time

Episode 170 of the V-LOG is live!

You are not wrong - I have rarely come out ahead. Even buying medic kit - I should have waited until after paint separation - Cherry not nearly as good as the module that came later. But hindsight... And... the posters have finally been a bit more transparent about what they might "lose" - advantage versus others. They still might end up with an advantage - too early to tell. But it's hard to believe Tanki would give up so much revenue by just making all "newer" players as powerful as "veteran" players. When i was shafted in the past, it was usually something that encouraged me to buy more. - Cherry protection not as good? Buy the newer m3 module. - Smoky nerfed repeatedly? Buy another turret... - and so on.
  3. Buy a kit to get items you don't already have. MU current equipment - you get results right away - and in most cases equivalent next-M-Level way before it normally unlocks.

I think you are saying players who bought lots of single or double-protection modules will get a better deal with new system? Not sure - I suppose it is possible - but we don't know how any of those will be converted. One thing we know is at m3, singles cost more (per protection) than triples do. One other hypothesis was that lets say some spent lots of crystal and has 7 triples. While player 2 bought 1 triple and 11 other singles. Player 1 might have 7 flexible triple-modules to populate however they see fit. While player 2 has 1 triple module to populate how he/she sees fit and would have to buy extra empty-triples to create more versions. This is just one example where the player who bought mostly singles is still far behind. That aside, how many players buy that many single-protection modules?

And this is what many of the complainers are being coy about... They keep saying they want refund because they don't want to lose what they paid for. Well what did they pay for? If they had 14 protections at 50% each they are likely to get that in new system, but in a more flexible format. We seen have nothing that confirms a loss of items will occur, but the demands for refunds are loud. So once again - what are they losing? The unmentioned advantage they paid to get by having more combinations than competition. Mind you as time goes by those enemies all accumulate more combinations as well - so the value of that "advantage" has a built-in depreciation.

Guess you won't be playing any time soon. So... decisions... should my Captain buy M2 3-protection module now? or wait until they change it drastically?

I like your way of thinking. :)

T'was not. And Tiger cost... 175k? Triple modules cost 250k. I suppose if MUs on LGC cost an even higher premium it would have been nice to get to 50/50/50...

Why can't you upgrade your LGC modules? I can upgrade my Cherry LGC module - but it costs disproportionately compared to new modules. Ironically I wish I bought Medic Kit after the paint separation - as Shark-TD is better than Cherry. Yeah, if Pro/Custom/whatever-they-call-it battles are not free, fewer people will populate them = fewer good battles. There used to be many great battles to be found - until they removed the missions.

I don't think that is what they are doing.... From what I understand, you should still end up with the same protections you currently have, only in a more flexible format.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

Well, since a benefit of one alt is to increase critical, and the other alt eliminates the critical, combining them has it's drawbacks. You lose more than you gain since you eliminate of the benefits gained. But keep all the negatives...

Yes - I have redundancies - magnum in at least 2 modules, rail in at least 2 modules... If we get ONE adjustable triple-module that can be modified as needed (not permanent) this this will be the best thing. Or if we get 5 triple-modules (based on my example) that we can re-combine, that will be ok - as you could then get something not available in garage/shop (looking at you Rail+Magnum)

Maybe I misunderstood what they are planning... If I have 5 diff 3-module protections that cover 12 turrets, then after update... Will I have: 12 single modules? 1 triple module template? I can combine any of my 12 modules into that template? And... going forward switch out protections in that module as needed?

If your friend is not losing any protection modules (had 14 covered, will still have 14 covered) what exactly would the compensation be for? When speed-up costs were lowered tankers who paid for more expensive speedups were not compensated. This is not a store where "price-matching" is used if you bought before a sale... With MM we can't pick maps and can possibly be placed in ongoing battle. So someone placed in map they don't like or someone placed in "doomed" situation should be penalized? With MM being implemented the possibility of the mercy timer coming into effect will be nil. So... who wants to sit there for another 5-7 minutes as a punching bag? That situation is way worse than a blow-out that ends quickly when enough people leave.

Episode 170 of the V-LOG is live!

What??? :o And the answers kept saying "we won't be like Tanki-X..." - shorter battles - MM with no battle-list (for normal) - containers - and now possibly a penalty for leaving a battle? - that's a Tanki-X "specialty"

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

No - can't access players garage to see current equipment. Of course!

You are going to rank to Marshall in 3 weeks?? :o

On the other hand, some of us prefer no-supply battles. Not being able to advance (and collect crystals) for time spent in pro-battles would be unfair.
  19. Since the W01 did not meet the threshold for the grand prize draw... the answer is obviously "no"
  20. This was good for a laugh...
  21. You are placing value on things that perhaps not many others would. example K/D. Is for campers. So Isidas, etc would really not have a chance would they. I think it's best to just stick with randomly drawing from all players who meet the threshold. keep it simple.
  22. So I'm happy you can accept a lowly WO1 winning one of the two grand prizes while you miss out. But... what happens if 4 players get 3501 kills each when the 48hrs is up? There only two grand prizes...
  23. 1) You already get more crystals if you play 2 hrs vs someone who plays 1 hr. Unless you stink... 2) No - you could not advance from Marshal to Legend in a few days even if you played 24hrs/day. 3) You have contradicted yourself - there's no "first two players who..." if it is a 48hr event. It sounds like, after 48hrs you want to automatically award the prizes to the two players with most kills? How would you react if a Legend player had 3508 kills, a WO1 player had 3506 kills, and you had 3504 kills. Would that be fine?
  24. As much as i dislike the turret magnum (for this game)... I'd rather have them running around doing their damage even at low charge if that meant NOT increasing their maximum damage. My biggest beef with Magnum is the ability to do massive damage while hiding safely behind walls. In no scenario can I endorse giving them more maximum damage from the long shots. It just ruins CTF and CP battles. At least when they 'come out to play' they are vulnerable to defenders. Simplest solution... make the charge-up slower. Better yet - a 0.5 second delay before the charging begins. They don't have to be in a rush while camping, but if it takes a bit longer to get off even a close-range shot it might be more dangerous for them.
