    lets discard "noobs" for now - either they learn and get better, or don't. That's mostly under their control. Rank spread when assigning players to teams through MM is another matter. Too wide and MM will fail as players with lesser equipment will just be cannon fodder for the stronger ones even if teams are balanced. They won't earn many rewards, could become frustrated, and leave the game altogether. It's better to have a 7 vs 7 battle of ~ ranked players than to throw in 6 more players that are >> ranked, solely to make the battle 10 vs 10.

    Does this module exist? I've seen Magnum/Shaft/Ricco. But no module that combines Magnum+Rail = huge fail by devs.

    Sure it's possible. But of the 13 turrets available, would you not agree that striker is least likely to accomplish that.

    I'd say Striker is probably the worst turret to use in DM. You don't ever dare to use the salvo - showing that laser for 3 seconds+ means you likely have 10-19 enemies shooting at you simultaneously. So you are left with the single launches that can be dodged, unless aimed at from behind. And striker not really great at close-quarters combat.

    OR... MM will place ( noobs + druggers/skilled/>rank ) versus ( noobs + druggers/skilled/>rank ) --> [balanced teams] Good luck if you are the "noob" half of either side of that equation.

    Are you serious Clark? :blink: can you play ricco without the alt? do you have a different turret you can play if #1 is no? is saving crystals good? If you can answer "yes" to at least one of the above questions then... WAIT.

    I agree. High K/D can result from... - never playing isida - never going for a flag - lots of camping - never playing light hull - avoiding maps that are sniper-heavy - avoiding DM battles - extremely selective on what battles to join (aka never the "losing" side") The list goes on. K/D might be slightly based on skill - but it's more of a play-style indicator.

(really does not sound as inspiring - thanks killjoy) EDIT - you can't nerf something that was nerfed in conception so... I stand by my original post.

    You might have many battles start with battle-group vs random mixed - results will be pretty predicatable. But it might be harder for a "battle-group" to enter an ongoing battle unless a bunch drop out at once. I think you mis-read the post. Pretty sure the "imbalance" refers to equipment/rank imbalance, which is not same as "skill". A player with < rank/equipment camping with shaft could pop a DD and destroy in one shot someone with >> ranks and >> equipment due to the +100% enhancement of the DD. Same as going from m0 (1500 dmg) to m4 (3000 dmg).

    When stationary and launching single missiles I've noticed an arc to the missiles path. It does not always go 100% straight.

    I wonder what you would see though if current system kicked everyone out of the map that just finished and that battle no longer existed. Would be nice to have the best of both worlds - being able to pick a map from battle-List, and not having the same maps (Brest, Highways, etc) continuously in use. We don't yet know what the threshold is for time-elapsed in battle on re-population. I'm hoping it's not more than 3 min...

    Yup - seems like they have abandoned the alts in favor of overdrive. So they should just do a less drastic tweak... lower the lock-on time so it actually becomes usable and lower the damage some ~ 20%.

    If MM does not start a battle until each side is full then here's the likely situation for you clicking the Battle button... 1) you are placed in the "lobby" waiting for teams to fill up, then battle starts 0-0 equal numbers. Great! OR 2) you are placed in an ongoing battle that has uneven numbers. A team has fewer numbers in this case because tanker(s) have bailed on a team that started losing. #2 is the issue. MM will prioritize filling a current battle before it starts a new battle. The odds of someone leaving the "winning" side are << than odds of someone leaving the "losing side". So more often than not, when you click "Battle" you will be dumped into a team already losing. This happens a lot in Tanki-X and it happened to me a lot during the "trial" run of MM last year. I was often placed into a battle with ~ 4 min already gone on a team losing versus a team with active OverDrive. End-results predictable. Before eliminating the Battle-List Tanki should try a interim option first - kick everyone out of the map that just finished. Want to play again? Click battle to generate a new map or join one of the ongoing battles. Tanki-X does not preserve the Map - everyone out and click "battle" to join a new random battle. I suspect it will be the same.
  22. Are the turret and hull "Let's Discuss.." charts in sync with WIKI? because "almost identical" is not "equal to or greater". This means a stock m1 & m2 Shaft can't kill a stock viking m1 & m2. Which is not what we were led to believe after update... (last yr?)
  23. Can you clarify where you obtained your base numbers from? A Shaft is supposed to be able to "one-shot" a medium hull of same M-level... so Viking should die from one hit from shaft.

    I concur. My alt is 1st Lieut and has 2 M2 combos with 2 protection modules. Is usually competitive with my peers.
