  1. 1) effort and rank are not mutually inclusive. As you say... maybe you just played a long time. Even lousy players advance eventually. 2) Even if you played 24hrs/day you would not be a Legend in a few days. Not even close. 3) You still have not defined what "top 2" means.
  2. 1) that's your definition of fair. maybe not everybody else's 2) How do you know a mid-rank player can't get twice a many kills as you? They have a higher chance of OP garage vs their peers than you do. 3) What does "Top 2" even mean? 4) If you limit it to just "Top 2" players you will have way fewer people playing over weekend as they figure - why bother - if I can't finish "top 2" i won't even try.

    What will you do as you rank up and play more "normal" battles where you do your missions? Sandbox and maps those size are not mission-available. And as you rank up and face enemies with 25%-50% protection against your 1 turret - you will find it much more difficult to destroy them.

    If buying either "new" don't forget Thunder m2 unlocks 3 ranks earlier - and can be upgraded toward m3 during those 3 bonus ranks. But if MU-ing items in garage, then yes, Smoky M2 has a decided advantage as you can get a better stock item much earlier. If you can't turn a smoky m1 into a smoky m2 in the 10 ranks it would take to get Thunder m2 you need better financial planning.
  8. I think Revenge was referring to the Magnum itself - hiding safely in it's own base while lobbing ultra-powerful shots at enemy defenders. And your suggestion to increase that would magnify the problem... The whole idea of adding a turret to the game which the only counter is another turret of same type is the issue. To counter a magnum you need a magnum? That's poor game design - as there are 12 other turrets - all with DLOS attack. The maps are not designed with Magnum in mind - no horizonal defenses (ceilings). Actually - strike that - the maps were revised with Magnum in mind. The only turret not negatively affected by all those extra barriers added is... Magnum.

    1) May still happen if MM does not balance things properly. Not having a battle-list is giving up a lot. Poor balancing will be the extra nail in coffin that might make ProBattles (or Custom or whatever) become popular again. 2) Count me in the camp that prefers no-supplies. Dying every 20 seconds (especially on crowded maps) is hardly any fun. And OverDrive - oh my - that is ruining the battles (asta-la-vista balance). As many have pointed out, OD just helps the winning team do even better.
  10. I guess a slower charging time (making point-blank shots more hazardous to magnum) might be a decent solution as well...
  11. Yes, 1% damage per 1% power was original idea. But that might be too limiting... so maybe starting at 10%=50% damage ramping up to 100% = 100% might be more palatable. And I'm sticking with the 10-degree min - else the Magnum can do 100% to a tank 5 m away. That defeats the whole purpose of my post.
  12. I'd say at 0% the shell never leaves the barrel... so yes, 0 damage.

    So "happens at range..." might also be a factor - Ricco range much better than twins, especially if they have alt equipped. And upgrades... a Ricco M2 upgraded more than Twins m2 can have better DPS... you hardly ever face stock equipment.

    Not 3rd shot in general... meant 3rd hit after the critical hit... so step 10 of your list. 6 [Crit] / 7 [crit impossible] / 9 [crit impossible] / 10 [crit % 17?] (I could have been more clear, yes)

    Jackhammer or Medic are good M3 kits with medium hull. Depends on what turret you want. Don't buy a kit if you don't really want the turret.

    At what M-level is Twins doing 100 more DPS over Ricco? In any event, there are many factors that could be in the enemies favor... - M-level - Hulls - are you using the same hulls? - MUs if same M-level - protection module % - Range

    7) and 9) both show 0% = No chance for critical on those two shots. I think that's the same idea - unless the 2nd negative actually reduces the 3rd shot to < 17%...

    No - I understood correctly. My points still stand. I agree it would be nice to have some variety. But people would ignore missions they have zero control on even starting - most of those suggestions depend entirely on luck.

  24. Lobbing shots across the map to a flag-area from a mine-protected, wall surrounded base should not be considered "hard" - especially since the magnum is not in any danger. Just takes a few missed attempts (probably still damaging someone with that splash radius) before the "zone" is narrowed in. I don't think increasing the amount of damage a flag-defender suffers from "gods above" would be considered a "nerf". It does a lot of damage already.
