    Can use the same argument you just used - maybe they started off more even but most of his team left after they started losing. So one (of two) screen-shots you posted shows a hammer with good k/d ratio. In neither cases was the Hammer instrumental in winning the battle. There likely many instances of Shaft having a very high k/d ratio in a battle where the shafts team loses. Nothing presented so far supports the argument it is "king of all turrets". Small-medium maps? Can be very effective. But if it was as great as you claim there would be more of them. Fact is on many maps they are uncommon.

    So "842" had 0 deaths and 15 kills with high score.... These results indicate "842" made moderate kills and capped lots of flags. How does using hammer have anything to do with this? Could have had an isida and ended up with same outcome. Teams were also not balanced at all - 4 generals on winning team - none on losing team. Score (10-0) reflects the team quality.

    I think Striker damage is high enough - it just doesn't hit often enough. For "auto-aiming" are you referring to single - unguided missiles? I don't think it has any auto-aim at all. If on uneven ground I find those missiles either go up into the aim (complete miss) or hit the ground waaaay short.

    Which player is the Hammer player you are discussing? Score 842 or score 253?
  5. This is where they are making a huge mistake. 10 vs 10 is not always the best option. Some like it - some hate it. Nothing wrong with 3 vs 3 on a small-medium map (where you will see a lot more CTF caps) or even 6 vs 6 on Kunger. The only important thing is the battles are as close to even as possible. Forcing 10 vs 10 does not guarantee this in any way.

    For Master Sergeant Alt account... Currently using Hunter m0.5 and Smky m0.3 Will keep upgrading Hunter to get m1 Plan on getting Thunder m1 @ WO4. In meantime need better weapon. Looking at Isida m1, Frz m1, hamr-m1, or could continue upgrading smky. Also would like Hornet m1 for speedier play at times. So... Bulldog kit seems nice but - paint and module makes it expensive so likely not afford. If I can get on a sale day how are Freeze m1 or Hammer m1? Any kits have Hornet+Freeze?

    Might be useful in some limited applications (like Polygon CP, top level of Silence / bottom level of Noise). But good luck on large maps or when you need to follow (team-mates) or chase (enemies) someone.

    1) One of the problems? Yes. Certainly not the only problem. 2 ) Not as simple as you make it sound. I have 2 Protection modules with Magnum - it's still a silly turret because in many cases I can't strike back.

    It's annoying/deadly on any map where it can hide behind defenses and not expose itself to return fire. Lots of maps allow this.

    Current plan is... Upgrade Hunter m0 all the way to m1 (m1 Hunter >>> Viking m1) Upgrade smoky a few (already done) and use it until Thunder m1 unlocks. Upgrade Thunder m1 a few (to keep it current) My crystal to-exp ratio is better this time round and I know not to waste crystals on too many items so hopefully I can... Buy Stinger Kit Buy Vesuvius Kit (as long as I can get Vik-m2 at least a couple ranks early) - else buy at rank on sale. Will likely disregard Protection Modules until M2 - the 15% (vs 3 turrets) is more than offset by MUing the hull against all turrets. As this is discussing an alt account gonna give Vulcan m2 a shot, even though I hear it's been nerfed a lot.

    Yup - I upgraded ~ 2 parameters half-way and ended up with a 1.5 at the time. Others lucked out and got 2.0 for free. :angry:

    35k to end up with 15% protection. That's a lot of coin crystals. I'm better of doing MUs on my Hunter m0 - the module protection pales compared to jump in armor from m0 to m1. Plus you get more speed.

    And if your team does not have one? The maps were not originally designed with indirect fire in mind - Magnum can really exploit certain maps >>> other turrets. Which is why many people find it annoying. There needs to be another 'counter' to magnum besides buying another magnum.

    I'm thinking I made a mistake in buying striker - not sure it's "a turret for me". I wanted a long-range turret as I already have smoky and Ricco for covering mid-range. But if - as suggested - the salvo is really the secondary function then it was probably a waste of crystals. With no auto-aim I suspect Striker is less useful than Thunder. They both do similar dmg, with striker having a bit better re-load. However, it seems striker will miss more often with unguided missiles than Thunder would. So if Strikers best distance of combat is up closer (or medium) I should stick with Ricco - with MFS alt it performs well at any distance. Good thing I bought it at 50% off. Actually, I think I had a PD as well... Oh well, at least I have 1 striker module - that also protects me from the silly Magnum.

    On the mid levels (m2-ish) how important are things like fire protection to reduce overheating? Worth spending the crystals at that rank for the moderate (at best) reduction in self-damage? Is it really something to worry about?

  24. You'll find it even more likely to drop weekly mission chain once they bring in Match-Making full time. I have a feeling only Pro-Battles will appear in battle list and you won't be able to chose your map when trying to do a mission. That will guarantee me dropping the missions.

    On top level Silence? Where's it's protected by mines and healing isidas? Not as easy as you make it sound. If you've gone to all the trouble to get up there in a CTF battle you might as well grab the flag. If not - it's done it's job anyway - distracting you from the main purpose of the battle - to cap flags.
