I saw similar number of vikings before hornet got nerfed. There were always more vikings than any other medium hull. Partly because a lot of players had it before ODs even came into game (like me) and partly because players like how simple the OD is ... point, press shift, hold spacebar. IMO most of the players that abandoned hornet switched to hopper.

Double-edged sword. There may be more players in the big maps, but you wait quite a while before you even see enemies sometimes in maps like Dusseldorf and Berlin. Only select modes like Siege would give Viking opportunity to kill many enemies with 1 OD. And that's assuming there's no active dome at the site.

LOL. Players use it ALL THE TIME in CTF/Rugby/Assault. They are doing > 50% of the caps in those modes. You must have your eyes closed for a significant portion of your battles. ? Players are complaining about the hopper crisis and hopper-Defender combos. Funny how players are not complaining about hornet-crisis and wasp-crisis. Don't see those hulls doing even half the capping Hopper is.

It's OP. You are in denial when you state otherwise. And it really would be a dumb game if everyone just started playing the OP-flavor-of-the-month. One of the (many) reasons players are leaving this game in droves.

So the counter to hopper is ... hopper? That's just silly. Everybody should just use hopper? Why not change the name from Tanki Online to Hopper Online? We had the same thing with Hornet OD for quite some time. And others justified it by saying "just use hornet as well". ?

Does not need to be "strong". Hopper wasn't built for duels - it was built for capping. It's movement and OD gives it a giant advantage in that respect. But that's beside the point. Players DO use drones and augments when playing Hopper. They make it go from OP to god-mode-on in terms of CTF/Rugby/Assault.

Your reasoning doesn't even come close to explain your experience-to-hrs ratio for Hopper. Not sure why you feel the need to make excuses for an OP hull. You are basically alone on that island.

What are you talking about? Hopper is not about killing tanks (though strafing ability gives it a tactical advantage) There's no question Hopper has the fastest charge up - look at the WIKI. It has OD more often than any other tank in the battle. Hopper will either grab the flag and hop away unscathed ... OR ... it will use OD to LAND ON THE CAP POINT - and there's nothing you can do to stop that. So how do you figure it "can't take the ball and just hop away"? That's SOP for hopper in CTF. And Hunter is supposed to sit there watch it cap or steal? HELLO? That's exactly what the issue is. In CTF/RGBY/Assault Hopper is basically unstoppable. No hull comes even close to capping as often as hopper does. Yes, Viking is OP when the OD gets activated. And if we were just talking TDM you might have a case. But we are not just discussing TDM - one of the least popular modes out there. Viking can get a decent score, but it does not win battles solo like a Hopper with Defender or Crisis does. The reason we might see more vikings is because it's been around a LOT longer than Hopper and players already have Mk7+ versions of it in their garage. I have had a viking for years, but have yet to buy a hopper. You have 95hrs use in Hopper and > 887k experience. And you honestly think it's not OP? Seriously? Just compare it to any of your other hulls. Even accounting for the EXP boost over last while, it does not explain your scoring with Hopper.

No it is not. Still wins every time vs Hunter unless you bring in Hull immunities. Even then, at worst it loses it's supplies for 5 seconds as it still escapes from the Hunter with the flag, or caps the ball AS IT LANDS ON TOP OF THE TANK SITTING ON THE FLAG. And what tanks you ever see these days playing without drones. That's like saying IB is fine so long as you don't equip HI hull augment. Well... don't see many tanks using IB without HI...

The mechanics of the OD - what it does - were not touched and any changes do not seem to have hampered its ability to cap. And Hoppers charge rate of 1.7 (combined) is still the best of all the hulls. Still gets the OD quite often. "Huge nerf" indeed.

Still one of the most popular Custom-battle games. No Supplies (and NO OD - else Dictators dominate) is great. And since you can have battles lasting more than 7 minutes allows for tactics instead of running around for 6 min like a chicken with its head cut off.

Because Firebird and twins are putting themselves in danger to actually see that indicator. Shafts, by their nature, can avoid that danger.

I guess you've never played on smaller maps or seen wasps with protection modules and defender? Plus many maps give tanks cover until they are close to where dome is placed. Wolfenstein perfect example. And as for Ares... if those inside leave the shield... then they are no longer protected by the shield, right? I play Titan a lot and that dome gets countered multiple times every battle and it's not just by AP.

Or Ares OD or Wasp bomb or Mammoth OD or Hunter OD or another Titan. You only forgot one... er... two... er.... three... I mean four ... oh heck make it five. But who's counting?

I don't think it really matters... since they score most through capping. (and are as close to unstoppable in that regard as they can get)

Have you seen what Incendiary Band does? Do you have any faith it would be "really low"? ?

Giving what these people want will end up killing the game. Short-term gains for long-term pain.

Smoky vertical auto-aim is total crap now. I end up aiming over targets way, way more often than before they changed it's mechanics.

What do you mean "forbidden"? If the area is "forbidden" how are you getting there? What hull were you using when this happened?

That would not be a nerf. If it's actually happening to you it would be a glitch. Kind of like I still experience the no-damage glitch from time to time.
