I would like the zero supply feature to stay in non-pro battles, but I suggest an alteration: Each player can only get the zero supply maximum twice in a game. So if people drug a lot, they finish their two chances quickly. The team which is being dominated earlier, can make a comeback later in the match when their zero supply charges up.

Buying kit allows you to have m4 hull + turret at Lt. General if you rank up slowly. Thats why I would recommend saving for them instead of MUing.

Well your profile says you got 160k experience in 220 hours with shaft. If you feel happy with that, then go get shaft m2. Good luck. Also, I have more experience points with shaft than you, and in about half the time you have spent on it. This is why I would say shaft shouldn't be the only m2 turret you have. And yes, I think voltage kit is a good buy because it is very cheap, unlocks very early and rail m2 is really good, especially if you get the higher damage alteration.

Now I'm a full time smoky player, switched from rail coz I bought Paladin kit. It gives me 35% from fire, freeze, twins. I finish in top 3 always now without supplies, and first with supplies. Yesterday I got 1012 score in a 15 minute non-pro battle, and got ~900 crystals for it. Second best guy had below 500 score. Smoky is absolutely trash at m0 and m1, but it makes a huge comeback from m2+. It is super easy to kill titan shafts with smoky. Just keep hitting the corner of their tanks. Impact force is massive. Plus circle around them - shafts have the slowest turret rotation speed. m3 smoky is extremely effective against other m3s. Its strength is its knock-back, which only a skilled player can make use of. Medium hulls are better to knock off enemy's aim, its difficult with heavy hulls, as you can't move fast enough to find the optimum angle to shoot at the enemy. Against rail, timing of your shot is everything. You need to wait for it to charge up, and shoot just before it is about release. Works very well, even against medium hull rails.

I think by alterations he means alterations to the game - patch updates.

Well the defending side used to win when I played. I was in the WO ranks then, and there weren't many people who used supplies. I guess thats why they couldn't come up with a way to make AS mode balanced. For high ranks, too easy to cap flags, with lot of supply usage, and for low rankers, very difficult without supplies.

Simoom, Northerner, Minotaur, Voltage, Ram Well I wouldn't advise you put your crystals in a mammoth shaft. It does not do well on all maps.
-
1 week atleast in garage. You can do it easily with premium. Forever in shop.
-
As far as I remember, there were 3 flags, but only 2 capture points, not 3. You could place mines around them. They could rework the system and give more points to blue every 10 seconds if flags are not captured.

And teams are unbalanced 99% of the times in non-pro battles, so they DO ruin the games.
-
Shaft takes too much time for full scope if some enemy surprises you. Shaft was my main turret in m1 ranks, but then I ditched it because of its inability to defend itself from other turrets when they get up close. Go for thunder or rail m2 in June sale.
-
Both Simoom and Minotaur are very good kits. Choose Minotaur if you play more pro battles, and Simoom if you play more non-pro battles. If you want to buy juggler or minotaur, make sure you buy m1 alterations for them in the coming June sale. With thunder, you don't need any alterations. Perhaps it would be best maybe to be patient and wait till June sale for 50% sale and then rank up and get the hull and turret you need for maximum savings. I bought Paladin kit today from garage B) It is awesome. Do not buy it if you still have to pay for viking m3 in the kit. Heavy hull kits are very expensive. Ghost kit would suit you well. Check out bumblebee kit also. Or you could not buy any kits, and just keep MUing your isida m3 and viking m3. That will save you some crystals.
-
Well, prediction was incorrect, but we got paladin and raiden kit both in garage in this week. I bought Paladin :) Finally have m3s after 6 months of playing B) I'm coming to get you m4 legends! (or maybe not)

Yes, twins is good at long range with its m1 faster projectile alteration. It is also good in small maps with the no self damage alteration. You're most probably dead if it gets around 20m from you. I am rail user, so they don't trouble me that much, I just shoot and then hide, wait for the reload, and then shoot again. Shaft arcade shots do not have much damage, neither do smoky or thunder, so twins will beat them. Only way is to use supplies.
-
That is the surest way to make sure you are dead, because of the long reload. Only way for rail to beat smoky, rico or twins is to shoot and immediately hide.
-
It is best to buy 1 MU at each sale, without the speed up. This way you can have full MU by 9 or 10 moths. m0 and m1 should not be MUd beyond 1/10.

Start a new account, keep doing missions on this one. In 4 weeks you can easily get to WO5
-
Can you give us approximate month in which matchmaking will be in effect?
-
I also liked that New Year map with assault mode. I don't understand why they took it away though. Map and mode should have stayed. Also, the lag is much more than I have ever experienced. Every 30 seconds, I either get server connection closed, or an error occurred, click here to re-enter the game. Many times I lose my progress. While playing, I miss most of my shots because of the lag. I haven't been able to play much. Only logging in to do daily missions. No point in renewing my pro pass if the lag continues.
-
I think alterations for striker will speed up the projectiles, and make it better. Also, being a medium hull user, it is very easy to escape striker shots if I use a speed boost and circle around it. Thats the key to beating a striker : circle around him, as fast as you can. There's real power in those missiles though, same damage as thunder. Difficult to hit targets at 100m+ range, large likelihood of missing. You're absolutely right on the laser, it is very useful for scaring away the enemy. In trying to run away from the laser, I often have to jump from wherever I am, and many times end up upside down, having to self destruct.
-
If you log in only to do your missions, you can have a crystal / experience ratio of 2+, and add about 300+ supplies to your garage every week (atleast at my rank). Long periods of almost inactivity (just doing missions) on an account means you can come back with a bang when you wish to play more. In the meanwhile you could play on another account. It is best to stick to one medium-long range turret and 1 medium hull at each m0, m1, m2. For m0 and m1, don't go beyond 1/10 MU. I'm still confused whether it is worth MUing m2 to m3 or not, especially if you have only 1 combo.
-
When will you reduce price of pro passes? They should be cheaper since we can't complete missions any longer in them.
-
MUing all the way to m3 is way too expensive. My advice would be to play non-pro only for missions, and head to a no-supplies pro battle (preferably with MUs off) after that. The devs don't really care about the problems we face. At best they will offer you 20% sale on paints for a week, and hope that makes players happy.
-
Vulcan / Ricochet + m1 alteration/ Smoky. Maybe shaft if you like it (I don't) Rail and thunder have heavy protections against them.
-
Even if you get 250k crystals for 320k xp, it doesn't matter that much. You will need to do all missions, and try to win all matches that you play.
