category Ideas for Hulls and Overdrives!

Well now I know for sure where you got that 22 metres from. You have a point. -
Yes, It was buffed. LCR had a 50% penalty to the shot reload and a 20% penalty to the shot delay. The 20% penalty to the shot delay was removed, leaving only the 50% penalty to the shot reload, hence it was buffed. The firing rate was slightly increased.
-
LCR has 50% more shot reload. The Wiki was has not updated the numbers correctly as yet.
-
Actually, coconut, you're right. It would take the same time. With this in mind, the likelihood of Stock prevailing in an engagement has decreased dramatically. So I can say with comfort now that HCAC is a direct upgrade all things considered.
-
The scenario I'm talking about is where you'd need 6 shots total to kill the enemy. Stock will do it faster. The con is more in gameplay rather than in the stats. I'm not It's kind of like pre-buff Adaptive Reload Vs Stock. It was a net upgrade before the pre-buff. You only recovered 2 ammo after a kill so oi you used your last shot to kill an enemy, and the next one you meet requires 3, you're at a disadvantage compared to Stock. Overall, it was still more practical than Stock. There are exceptions to the rule but since the majority of the alterations stayed the same when they transitioned to augments, it would be more accurate to call them, collectively, net upgrades rather than direct upgrades.

How Many Battle Points Does Dictator Get You For Sharing Overdrive?
TheCongoSpider replied to D.A.R.K.N.E.S.S in Archive
You don't get experience points for sharing Dictator's Overdrive. The Wiki page for each hull shows the parameter that determines the charging time of their Overdrives, called "Overdrive charge over time". Wasp - 1,000 units - 1% per second (100 seconds) Hornet - 900 units - 0.9% per second (111 seconds) Hunter - 900 units - 0.9% per second (111 seconds) Titan - 800 units - 0.8% per second (125 seconds) Dictator - 700 units - 0.7% per second (143 seconds) Mammoth - 700 units - 0.7% per second (143 seconds) Viking - 400 units - 0.4% per second. (250 seconds) -

I've disabled a dome farther than 22 metres away from me when you started making that claim. Of course, latency also plays a role in the effective range. It would be misinformation to tell players that the maximum range is 22 metres when it's actually not. -
High-Capacity Ammo Clip is an exception, of course. It is not a pure upgrade as there are probably like 2 scenarios where Stock wins an engagement quicker than HCAC but yeah, it's more of an upgrade. It's best to look at most of them as net upgrades. Nanomass Reactor still has the increased energy consumption (con) when attacking but the Wiki team still hasn't updated it. Adrenaline requires HP loss to get the benefit. That is the con. You get higher damage in exchange for lower survivabilty.

A problem that players point out is that they are killed in one shot or quickly in 2 shots from mid-ranged and long-ranged turrets. At the very least, melee-ranged and short-ranged have to get close to the target to overpower them leaving them vulnerable to enemy countermeasures. If this is implemented then it will only discourage the use of melee and short range turrets with Hornet and will exacerbate the long range turret + Hornet OD problem. It works the same way like when Vulcan's DPS was nerfed. It was great with all hulls but shined the brightest with Hornet. Decreasing the damage just makes it more of a must-pick with Hornet, especially with the rise of the protection modules against it. -
Large Calibre Rounds still has the increased shot reload time. Its firing rate is noticeably slower than Stock's. @CAPiano Don't look at the Augments (Alterations) as direct upgrades, but rather net upgrades where for some of them, the pros outweigh the cons rather than having no cons at all. As a result of this new power and the ability to receive them from containers in the rare or epic category at any rank, the prices were increased.

It was 25 minimum, and it still is. Ground zero for the zap starts from the turret and not the edge of the hull. It was more than 22 metres. Yeah, Shock Freeze seemed to be changed to be more...self-sufficient? Even if they kept their freezing effect pre-nerf, I'd still see Stock Freeze being more practical for killing since you get so much more DPS. Shock Freeze isn't entirely useless though. It's utility was decreased in certain areas and stayed in others, most notably fetching the enemy flag or scoring a touchdown with Wasp. There it makes full use of the high % hull slowdown. -
What Is Your Opinion About the Current State of Tanki Online?
TheCongoSpider replied to Maf in Game Discussion
To me it's just one of those augments that make the turret and augment system appealing to spend on. There is no doubt that the new Scout is now more practical than Stock Railgun, but what can you do when that is more or less the purpose of augments. To ease your pain, try to imagine that it is a Thunder. It has Thunder's firing rate and deals similar but higher damage. Upgrade your Railgun protection if you can because Mk2 Falcon will not give you any hope against Scouts unless you're a light hull. -

When was it ever 17 metres? Are you going off of Wolverine's 22 metres? I still don't know where he got 22 from. -
This happens every battle for me, the supply activations that is. I don't think I've seen that with the Overdrives' visual effects. It gives me information that someone used DA, DD, SB or a repair kit somewhere in the map.
-
Yeah I did it before the server restart and it killed my Titan It's probably coded the same way as Wasp's Overdrive and as such ignores the dome.
-
Rank does not matter in this regard, only turret and hull parameters. You deal 1123 and 88 damage because you are out of your arcade shot's maximum damage range. That ranged was halved recently so you need to get closer in order to deal full damage in arcade mode. So this Shaft must have been somewhere around melee range.Booster is the only way to do this. The player had a Booster drone.
-
I see. I should have asked if you saw the alteration they were using. SBE takes 5 shots to kill a heavy hull so a one-shot with Booster shouldn't be possible with SBE. However, it may be possible if the Shaft had the Adrenaline Augment and was at a low enough HP to have close to 30% increased damage. That's the only way a Shaft can one-shot a full HP heavy hull with an arcade shot.
-
Well the value you get out of the drone at max level was increased significantly but as a result, it became much more expensive to use. This is a drone I won't use at minimal upgrades. And it made no sense for me to use this during the UFO days since everyone has it and many are likely using it to catch the golds. That's repair kits being wasted essentially.

You've failed to adapt to modern MM. It's like the low ranks for you now. Equip Dictator until you get back on your feet; you have it at Mk7. You went to the garage more than once. If you equipped your Railgun protection module then you would have a chance to survive, but you didn't and kept complaining of one-shots. As a light hull, all long range turrets will one-shot you with DD on unequal footing. Your Smoky Module is Mk5 going up against Mk8s. That is a huge leap and HPAS will still 2-shot you. Choose better protections to fit the battle. Then don't be surprised when you get taken down so easily. Your Wasp is barely upgraded. There is a large increase in parameters from Mk7 to Mk8. You are at a disadvantage compared to other Legends with upgraded equipment. Keeping ypout light hull near Mk7 makes it much easier for Mk8 turrets to take you down faster. This is an understandable problem. The best way to mitigate this is to use double armour, but you have none. Use Dictator to get supplies in-battle. It's a medium hull so you have more survivability. You hide with your speed...or maybe don't rush headfirst into danger and assess the situation first. You're going to need supplies to play well in Legend battles whether you like it or not. Not using supplies in a Legend battle handicaps your team. Not using repair kits is understandable but at the very least you should be using either DA or DD. You were not doing the proper maneuver to hit all of your Hammer pellets. You weren't taking your time to shoot. The Hunter also activated DA while you did not activate DD. So you would be dealing less damage. You would have survived two shots from that Gauss had you not inflicted self-damage. You could have survived longer if you had DA active. Take a look at this. -
Well you said your Titan was Mk7 which would make the one-shot possible. It shouldn't be able to one-shot you at Mk8. It could also be that the player quickscoped you because SBE raises the minimum sniping damage of Shaft. If this is not the case and you clearly didn't see the enemy stop moving for a split second, then something may be wrong. Can you give a quick rundown of how the situation played out? What hull was the player using?
-
You didn't find it weird that they gave away Lifeguard for free and the reward for catching the meteorite gold boxes was repair kits? In the future, it would be best to ask around before attempting stuff you're skeptical of. Drones that consume additional supplies can be found on their Wiki page.
-
Oh yeah, that reminds me. While playing a fee days ago, a gold was going to be dropped. I had died and was respawning. A few seconds after I materialised, the meteorite impacted the ground. The same time that the meteorite fell, my tank self-destructed, along with 3 others who were close to the drop zone. The drop zone was all the way across the map so I don't know why I self-destructed as if I were on the drop zone. Has this happened to anyone else?
-
The only way that can happen is if the Shaft has Short Band Emitters and 20/20 Booster. Even then, the SBE Shaft has to get lucky with the damage distribution for that to happen. How much HP did you have when the Shaft one-shotted you?
-
Scout was buffed in April and had one of its weaknesses compared to Stock partially removed. It's more annoying than LCR for me now.
-
Decreased projectile speed.
