valid Kill still given if the enemy self-destructs

Losing points? Alright. Gaining a death? That can stay, it only makes sense. You were destroyed after all.- 87 replies

Not even gonna give them a chance?

It near instantly freezes their hulls, so very great at defending since the enemies don't have supplies to help them, only protection modules. And even with a 50% protection module against Freeze, Shock Freeze's cooling rate is tripled, so you'd still freeze their hull quickly.

The Russian Forum's Patch Note doesn't have the Hunter change listed. Strange. It also skips a number there, meaning it may have been meant for a Patch Note of the number in between.
-
So apparently the Overdrive was "changed" as per the March 20th Patch Note. I am pretty sure that wasn't there when I first looked at it. And the Mobile Patch Note doesn't have it so maybe they must have edited it in and forgot to add it to the Mobile Patch Notes.

valid Kill still given if the enemy self-destructs

I'm torn. Ultimately, I won't mind if sensei's idea is implemented, and I won't mind if the current system stays the way it is. If anything, like Gauss-Hornet said, an assist won't hurt.- 87 replies

The number of Vulcans I'm seeing in Legend battles has increased a lot. I'm talking at least 2 in most battles and a few times 6 in the same battle. That's just from my observations. The ones I see are most often paired with Titan, Hornet and Viking in that order. The Vulcan Hornets are very deadly in Siege, where they're clearing out my teammates or the enemies very quickly with the Overdrive. And killing them is no easy feat when they have protection against your turrets and a 20/20 Defender Drone on them during that time. It's starting to become like the RGC Magnum + Hornet fad and it is working for them. Whenever I see one, I just think, "Ugh, another one". Well he's tracking those 600 Legends' usage. They may use Thunder protection a lot, but that doesn't mean they'd be using Thunder itself a lot. They could be encountering many Thunders while not playing with Thunder much themselves.
-
I finally did it. I should have recorded the battle for more concrete proof though. Could have gotten more but SN Isida's damage with Viking's Overdrive is laughable, and I was taken down by a Hunter who used a repair kit and then his OD to stop me. I would need to take my entire Overdrive to kill a medium with DA, and he just might survive if he uses a repair kit, so attacking players with protection modules against me would be a waste.

We don't know, we don't have the official information yet, surprisingly. People have been hearing 30%, which sounds about right for the damage I see Youtubers doing.

I would have wanted it as an assist rather than a kill.- 87 replies

There is no reason for this to happen.

I just find it unsettling that it had been teased, then released, and no one but the devs know what the parameter changes are. Players who are going to buy the bundle would need to know exactly what they're paying for, and people who can't or won't buy the bundle would need to know exactly what they're going up against. We got the numbers immediately for Vulcan's alteration. Now we have an even more crazy alteration and we don't know exactly what it does to the turret. That doesn't do well for transparency.
-
This is upsetting. The alteration had been teased and then released almost a week ago and not even the Wiki Editors have the parameter changes. ?
-
Or maybe Tankoins like it was in the Test Server?
-
Makes me wonder if this would be the reaction of the players to future bundles.

Assault Maps Where the Blue Team's Base is in the Center/On a Raised Platform
TheCongoSpider replied to HappyFace in Archive
I hate it when I get a mission for Assault, use my free change and get an even harder mission in Assault, most often for supplies in the second mission rather than crystals in the first mission. It's the mode I'm least comfortable playing in. It's the mode I see some teams having massive shortages, almost as if it's the least played mode. That might explain why I get so many missions for it, to increase its play rate. -
Assault Maps Where the Blue Team's Base is in the Center/On a Raised Platform

And Gauss in general. Such a pain when the blue team needs to be grouped to defend the point and there is one or multiple Gausses on the red team. Not to mention with Booster and Hornet's Overdrive. Had a memorable battle where my team kept getting cleared out by a Boosted Gauss and allowed their teammates to capture mostly unharmed. This is the reason why I don't like to play in Iran ASL. Those crates in the middle and the trees around it are a nuisance when trying to maneuver the base. You can be hitting your allies a lot of the time wasting ammo. It gets a bit laggy when multiple enemies are domes are on the point, and enemies can shoot at you from the high ground and you have to abandon your post at the point to properly deal with them. Enemies can enter or attack the defenders from so many angles. Most times I see the blue team winning here, it's that they have a healer and Mammoths on the point, they outpower the red team and spawnkill them, or the red team isn't focusing on capturing. I disagree with the blue team having a huge disadvantage in Silence. They can flip the attackers if the attackers aren't careful. The houses hide them from fire directly on the point. The main reasons I see the blue team losing there is because of two or 3 enemies spawnkilling the defenders and allowing their teammates to capture and stunning acts of obliviousness from players entering the base. A lot just waltz in and around the defenders with their weak light hulls and capture, and somehow the defenders can't do anything about that. In the more extreme cases, the blue team can just mine both entrances with a Saboteur Drone and that's gg right there; base is inaccessible to the red team. -
It's the other way around for the descriptions btw.
-
This has been here since the deal damage daily missions came in the game.
-
Sounds like someone is using a Supplier or an Engineer Drone on your team. Those activate supplies for their teammates under different conditions.
-
That's a daily. I had one to score 1 goal and it took me days to complete it. Made me miss out on the third container. Too many Saboteur and Booster Drones for comfort during those attempts.
-
That's understandable, it is on the expensive side.
-
Except it's better in the fact that to stop shooting and start back only takes 0.3 seconds, which is better than getting +6 seconds of firing and having to wait 1.5 seconds to stop and start firing before the rework. So removing the time to overheat buff means nothing when you now have the ability to never overheat at all. SSR Vulcan winds up and down faster than Stock Vulcan with Viking's Overdrive. That is how fast it is. So after the rework, you should never need to have 6 extra seconds of firing on top of the 12 you have already.
-
Yes they deal damage. They do auto-aim on the opponent but it's kinda small, and may be made smaller by having Reinforced Aiming Transmission (horizontal aiming faster) equipped.
