For Holiday Lights animated paint, half the animation is wrong:

I love that maps have been added to the circulation. It has been long overdue to add maps to MM. I love that the size of group has been increased to 4. (I think it could be even bigger with 16v16.) Some modes are more fun like CP, Seige, TJR. I sincerely appreciate the work devs have done to make these changes. Capping in CTF/RGB/ASL is very difficult, so much so that you are heavily incentivized to just kill people in defense or midfield. If you are finally able to get into opponent's base, you are hit with a hopper, hunter, or viking OD or are frozen or burnt or AP'ed or EMP gaussed. There are too many weapons and, more importantly, too many status effects to protect against that make you effectively dead. You really need to score early because once ODs are active, chances of scoring are greatly reduced. If you change some parameters of the game you have to think about all the changes that have to go along with it. I think The time of matches should be longer for bigger maps. e.g. 5 min on small. 7 min on medium. 10 min on large. Size of team should be related to size of map. e.g. 6 on small. 8-10 on medium. 12-16 on large. The score for capping in CTF, RGB, and ASL and killing/wounding JGR should be increased for more players/bigger maps. The charging rate of all ODs should be reduced, especially for hopper. If more players are in battles, really need to allow more protections. e.g. 4 or 5 modules and 2+ hull augments. I'm sure people with Spectrum are especially :) right now.

Same situation here. I have everything except a few skins not available in skin/XT containers, 1 hull alt, and a handful of paints. To keep people interested once they reach near end of game they should do something to keep it interesting and worthwhile to buy battle pass each time.

That was it. It didn't make any sense. I agree with Akame that it should have just been kept simple. I never got any clarification from Maf or anyone else while I was a helper. The profiles are not a priority for devs so don't expect any changes. There is definitely an audience for the profiles and statistics be it people just looking at profiles to my stuff to all the discord bots that report this info. I investigated a bit against my jslifer account because it is a pretty good test case. I only use Defender and use it 100% of the time in MM and I rarely play pro battles/parkour/etc. These are my snapshots since the beginning of the month. You can see only part of my total time and total score earned were credited to Defender. It is really unclear how the time and XP is attributed to the drone, and I can't understand why such a wide range of percentage of time was attributed.
-
Yeah, the time shown on profiles for drones is not a reliable source of information. Unfortunately that's the only source of information available. Different drones track time different ways. I think Maf explained it to me a while back but I can't find the old message.
-
I'm not sure exactly what you are talking about. I just added your account to my tracking on 11/20.

Latest results including hopper, ares, and crisis...
-
Yeah, grabs profiles of each player every day and calculates some statistics. I've been adding more players from weekly top 100 crystals/experience and have 800 now. Also made some changes to add hopper, ares, and crisis handling but system needs another week before the 2 week top equipment screen isn't skewed by the addition of the new equipment.
-
The advantages of drone vs no drone is very significant but the cost (crystals, batteries, and extra supply usage) is very high as well. I think both the cost and the advantage they give you are too high. If you use a drone in MM, you are losing crystals every battle except when crystal multipliers are high. The meta of the MM battles I get in is such that you almost have to have a drone to do well. I think the exception to that can be an aggressive hopper hull without drone repeatedly pushing to cap which is very difficult to combat. An aggressive hopper with Crisis or Defender is damn near impossible to stop. Without a drone, to successfully battle a tank with defender you need to use status effects and consistent damage from turrets that aren't protected against by modules. Freezing and AP/EMP effects that remove armor are obviously the best.
-
I am not 100% sure but my recollection is that the experience earned when you are JGR is not credited to the turret/hull you had equipped.

Tanki could most efficiently solve issues and give the game a good future by spending less than two hours updating the profile pages

The profiles are an important part of the game. I look at them all the time and the data it provides is the source of my tooling to collect statistics on players. I'd love for it to be enhanced as long as the underlying data is still accessible. If anyone likes to look at profiles and is interested, below link contains the source for a bookmarklet to display more info. It shows current turret/hull (needs updates for Ares/Hopper), shows stats per owned item and mode, counts paints, etc. To use it: Instructions: 1. Create a bookmark 2. Name it "Tanki Stats" 3. Paste contents of pastebin in URL/Location field. 4. Go view a profile like http://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/daringdeer/ and click the bookmark you created to see some custom statistics. https://pastebin.com/3CqgFL9U- 25 replies

I am not enjoying this game much at the moment for reasons which have been said over and over. Talking about the experiment changes first. The maps removed did not make me sad. I don't have much else positive to say about it. I dislike the shortened battles because it reduces strategy and results in people leaving battles early which further unbalances matches. I dislike that half the turrets are basically ineffective. Games are generally slower paced and less interesting. It is simply too much health per hull and the strength of melee weapons has increased too much. Add defender or crisis and you can easily ignore all defenders and cap a flag in CTF/ASL or a ball in RGB. In TJR, the JGR is too weak and easy to kill. The JGR needs to run around the map to stay alive. Missions were not adjusted to deal with the changing dynamics. (Enjoying your 100 kill daily or 500 kill weekly mission?) I think most games before the experiment often turned into TDM because it was more profitable to kill people than to complete the objective. During the experiment, it has swung too far the other way. I hope the experiment ends soon or the devs at least play with the parameters to restore some semblance of balance. On to the general state of the game. Too much of MM is overdrives and status effects now. There needs to be more maps in MM circulation. By far my biggest frustration is the hopper hull with Crisis or Defender. It is virtually unstoppable in cap games without a tremendous team effort which is hard to come by in MM. The physics of Hopper pushing through or under other hulls and flipping them is especially triggering. I still play this game mainly because of the friends I've made. Usually 6 or 7 of us play together most nights, but everyone is getting frustrated because of the choices the dev team has made. Some have already decided to not play until the experiment is over. If pushed much further, I know some just won't come back.

Well played @Azonyx ?
-
It is currently tracking about 550 accounts. Mostly my friends and players from top 1000 efficiency.
-
If I get back to it, I need to add tracking for Ares, Hopper, and Crisis.
-
@At_Shin @TheCongoSpider Sorry, just saw the tag. I see 1-2 saboteurs per game, mostly in CTF. I don't think the people I track use it. They are generally more aggressive players. Likely most of the time tracked here is from my one clanmate who uses it with magnum in the midfield.

I experienced this today. In Chrome, had Tanki in queue for a battle on a background tab and a different tab open and focused. Heard the battle starting so switched back to Tanki tab and no keyboard buttons worked. I had to refresh the Tanki tab for it to work.

On my main account where I play with friends in group and win most games, the 15x top 3 on winning team mission is simple, but on my lower accounts where I play by myself, it can be a real chore. I generally am first place on my team but sometimes it doesn't matter what you do. Your team is going to lose. I'd rather it included ties or was a higher number of top 3 finishes irrespective of game results. Had a streak of 8 games in a row as 1st place on losing team and it was quite frustrating. Also had a 1.25m damage low weekly mission on Brigadier that took a lot of time. It seems like the low weekly missions are actually the hardest. I do think the challenge changes have been great. If you have a couple accounts, play a bit every day, and are willing to spend some crystals to change daily missions to make them easier to finish, you can easily finish the challenge on multiple accounts without premium. PCB looks good too.

I compared paints I have in my profile (365) with paints I have in HTML5. HTML5 says I have 342/367 but it actually is listing 363 that I own and 389 total. So that is 1 bug that the counts are off in HTML5. The 2 missing from HTML5 are Crusher and Tarantula. My guess is if you equip either of them in Flash and then enter HTML5 you will get an error. That is 2nd bug.
-
In HTML5, I explicitly map my number pad 1-5 to supplies and 9 to gold.

Clicking on a name should consistently show you popup menu to copy name, view profile, clan profile, etc.
-
Make names context sensitive everywhere. They are not in: Pro battle lobby list Friend requests Invited users Have a way to handle battle links without having to paste them in general or clan chat. The pro battle search box would be a great place to be able to paste them. In garage, you can double-click on hulls/turrets/drones/modules/paints to equip them but it doesn't carry through to hull or turret augments, skins, or shot colors. Make it consistent and allow equipping with double-click everywhere.

RGC was locked at 3 degrees which made melee to mid-range shots pretty easy. If stock is now locked at 12 degrees that is going to make full power close shots much more difficult to hit. You will need to be facing the target with a good amount of lean to avoid shooting over them.
