In the previous event and this Hopper event, I have noticed that the mission problems (massive slow down or complete inability to change or claim) starts when the player count goes up to 7000 online. By 8000 online the problems are severe and impact battles themselves by slow spawn-ins, etc. Things seem to run normally until that 7000 figure is hit and everything goes to hell. I would guess that that means it is not coding, but not enough server power. Is Tanki planning on only having 6000 or 7000 players in the future? Have an event...have enough server juice.

    Ideas for Game Modes!

    The event map with Hopper is fun. What is absolutely wonderful about it is everyone is evenly matched. It brings back some skill into Tanki instead of 70% luck and 25% equipment. You can tell the players from years ago by their stealthy manner and high scores. You can also tell the players that rely on nothing but advanced equipment. I believe that if there were one mode in Tanki that all players were the same, regardless of rank, it would revive this dying game. Let players choose their hull and turret, but all Mk1 (or Mk8 since everyone is equal), no ODs, no MUs, no drones, no alts (or maybe allow the choice of any alt), no supplies other than drops (maybe access to players own supplies...maybe), on any MM map. This would bring back the element of strategy that is so blatantly missing in this feeble Neo-Tanki we now have and kill off the kiddie luck factor. A Parity DM mode would be OK, but a Parity team mode would be brilliant. It might even bring back team work!

  4. Can't spawn into a battle in Flash ...just like last event. Can't change missions within HTML...just like last event Can't actuate 100Cry button in Missions...just like last event Takes forever to claim mission in HTML...just like last event hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...seems like the devs didn't fix anything last time and just rolled out a new event on top of the known glitchy code. An incompetent lazy and generally worthless development team. That's what we are stuck with...that's Neo-Tanki !

    Like I said...every time they have an event map it's the same old thing...massive lag and lag related issues. Tanki devs are incapable of having these event modes without severely impacting the entire game. They couldn't fix it previously, but that doesn't stop them...they just roll out another event map/mode that does exactly the same thing to the game; completely ignoring the consequences. Their incompetence and disregard is astounding. So one more day of trashed gameplay, or in my case zero gameplay. The event mode will be finished and the mysterious (sarcasm) "game server issues" will be fixed. ...Only because the event mode is gone...Tanki is incapable of actually fixing their incompetent coding.

    Oh Noooooo ...a double whammy of bad coding on the way. A special event map to generate massive lag like usual, plus the added monkey-wrench of a new hull to foul up unknown aspects of battles. Tanki just can't ever seem to introduce something or generate any difference in configuration without glitching out the game for some period of time....EVER. One can only hope the damage and lag caused by the new hull and event will be minimal and only destroy a small part of the designated time frame. i may be an arch-cynic, but it is Tanki after all...where incompetence rules the code!
  8. So it begins anew. I was just about to start a topic about a new wave of buffs and nerfs...The Buff/Nerf Cycle, but I couldn't think of how to start it as a topic without it getting merged so I put it off till later. Well, I think it has started. The buff to Magnum is OK, I guess...it kind of goes along with the new movement maybe. But it may very well be a portent of a new iteration of Tanki's obnoxious Buff/Nerf Cycle marketing. They have laid off changing turret/hull parameters for quite awhile, but now I'm afraid it will start up again in earnest. In the bogus name of "balance", they will start to change everything around again to get the churn going. What has been OP will get trashed because many people have owned and upgraded their piece of equipment. Over the course of the next six months or so, Tanki will turn several popular turrets into trash and turn several current dogs into OP monsters. Everybody and his dog will start buying the new "darling" turret (turrets), buy protections, and start the upgrade process all over again while the fully upgraded turret they are using today just sits in the garage gathering dust. ...Tanki's lazy, abusive way of marketing. I hope I'm wrong and they leave the parameters alone for the most part. Let's wait and see. ?
  9. Yes, by golly-gosh that is very close! I heard an old Inuit bee keeper once use the expression "a gruffing turkey-snordle platz wobble" just before he dispatched a particularly feisty walrus. I think that might apply to Tanki devs also...they just don't care about us. (Didn't Michael Jackson write a song about this?)
  10. This is happening on HTML for me. Every event the game goes to hell. Everything takes forever if it ever loads at all. Switching between "turrets" tab and "hull" tab sometimes takes 5 or 6 minutes! I must try to log in wait three or four minutes, close the browser and try again. Please NEVER have any event ever again. You guys seem to be incapable of adding anything to the basic game configuration without causing chaos. And I'm talking about the inferior HTML version.,,and my internet is just fine...it's your poorly developed game and servers. I would normally be playing on Flash since it is sooooo much better than the HTML version, but I can't even log in on Flash. i don't know if that is a glitch or just more of Tanki's ridiculous sabotage to Flash. Maybe Tanki's continuing sabotage to their own game in flash is what is causing even worse performance in HTML than normal....three days this garbage has been going on.
  11. I just lost 2 regular containers. I opened the containers tab and it went to the container menu. I clicked "open". Nothing happened and i waited for about two minutes. I clicked it again, waited about five minutes and nothing. I escaped back to the container menu and my container count was less 2 containers. I had had three and now i have one with no contents given. I know, use this form. I hate dealing with these guys because it is always so very frustrating going back and forth with them when they don't bother to read. They look at one or two words and send out a boiler plate without out actually reading the problem. So I will just lose the containers, rather than suffer worse frustration. Tanki needs to get it's act together. I'm sick of the lag, the Flash sabotage, the vastly inferior HTML...no effort being made to improve HTML...a general disregard for players. This company is TRASH and needs to get sold to a company that will pay attention to it. Shame on you Tanki developers....you are TERRIBLE at your jobs.

The lag is so bad after you finally spawn in after fiddling with "G" and escape, the battle is half over, but then it doesn't matter because the lag is soooooooooo bad you can't actually hit anything or you do no damage. It's OK because 5 of your team quit already. It's very difficult to even get one star . If you buy something in the garage, you need to logout an log back in to see if your purchase is listed. If you click and it does anything at all an you get the conformation box, you can click it and nothing happens. Tanki is having a sale...why not check the garage workings first before the sale??? Tanki has these events, they change something (like the addition of the event mode) and everything goes to hell because of their inability to code properly. Tanki is getting worse and worse every single week. Why don't you do something about it chumps? It's been two days alrady (maybe longer, I haven't bothered to even login.)

    In all fairness, HTML seems to be having problems too. Much faster login and you get put into a battle eventually with HTML, but no damage and other monster lag issues. So it is probably just incompetence instead of malevolence.
  14. I'm having the same problem with Flash. It certainly leaves me wondering if Tanki is doing this on purpose. More sabotage to their own game with the feeble idea that this will get people playing on HTML. Hey, let's lag Flash out so bad it takes five minutes to login and then players will time out before they can join a battle! if they do get into a battle, their tank will never spawn and if it does, all the HUD info won't spawn! Yeah! That's a brilliant bunch of ideas! Let's start fouling up Flash right away! ....The stupid players won't even notice and will just go to play on HTML." Villians

  16. OK, how about pre-Covid lockdowns...an even larger drop off. The real point is the bold faced fact that Tanki is hemorrhaging huge amounts of players due to the devs ridiculous implementations. When you lose half or more of your player base in just a few months, you are doing something wrong. This is a pretty obvious concept, but the devs don't seem to give a turkey-snordle (yeah, I just made up the word) and keep degrading the game further and further and further. Note: each day is at or above 20K, with Jan 4 being a peak for the week (I couldn't resist the dramatic effect ? )
  17. Yep, well said. I was just too lazy write my reasons...thank you for doing it for me. I would like to add that another ill effect of the Challenges is killing off any of the small amount of teamwork that still lingered on teams. Now it's every player for himself just to generate stars....the battle is mostly inconsequential.

  19. Sorry, I don't find any of those things good. Some are less bad than others, but all have impacted the game negatively from my point of view I used to hope Tanki would get better, that is why i have kept playing, but it plainly hasn't. Now it's 4X XP with half as much BF...come on. What's the next thing gonna be? I have been finding different ways to play and keep compensating for the mad imaginings of the devs whims. But I'm running out of ideas to counter their bad updates. To me, I'm pretty sure the end of Tanki in near. If not for the game entirely, then certainly for me. You are right, I should be able to find something good in Tanki, but I just can't...other than the forum. I wonder if Tanki is thinking about shutting it down?

    So you fools think that 8X XP will make people play more or buy more stuff? Did you hear that? That ring-a-ding-ding off in the distance? Could it be the death knell for Tanki Online? I hope the Legends can carry the game or it's gonna be time to start polishing resumes.

"Not everything’s bad in tanki yet." ...you forgot to add, "but it's getting that way."
  22. Text wall rant: True..but even you said "yet" ...and that is my fear...what will they do next to ruin the game? So far, for the last few years, every update makes the game worse. And they are already taking it pretty close to the edge. At what point does the player base become too small to support the game? My guess is around 2000 to 3000 at peaks and at the rate they have been bleeding players, that is only a few more stupid updates away. I loved this game and it upsets me greatly to see what has been done to it ...basically just for greed's sake. I'm angry and saddened by what I see everyday and it just keeps getting worse and worse with every update. This used to be a very unique and interesting game with real community and online friends. There was lots of choice in how you played Tanki; in styles, maps, strategy, even equipment, but now it's mostly homogeneous with this forum being the only vestige of community left. I am not the only one that thinks 95% of what has happened to Tanki over the last three years is bad. I'm just one of the only ones that's left, another 120,000 (peaks) who thought it was bad QUIT already...that's probably about 1,000,000 users that had enough of Tanki's toxic updates and just stopped playing completely. I still play but only a fraction of what I used to. That's why I spend so much time running my mouth on the forum...no good game to play, only a memory of a good game that is now getting crushed into oblivion. So, yeah, you are right, I have very little good to say about Tanki because there is so much bad to say about what they have, and are actively doing to a game I loved.
  23. Yes I think the paint separation was a good update although it hurt a lot of players at the time. i guess that was unavoidable. But, yeah, it was good IMO. What it was though was a turning point in the game. It marked the beginning of the downhill run for Neo-Tanki...it's more a milestone than a bad update.

    Wish you guys would work on making HTML more playable and full featured instead of diversions like this. Do we really need another Crazy Weekend even if it is possibly a Crazy Weekend on steroids?
