When do we get the airplanes in the game? I want a bomber.

I don''t think that it's an illegal copy. It's exactly the same page that was up previously when the site was working. I'd say it is still under the auspices of TankiOnline. Some nicknames were even already enrolled from this TankiOnline and many of the mods were the same as they are in this Tanki. The game was working fine about a year ago, but I lost interest because ranking up was taking so long. It may still be working since the G-Tanks forum is still up and running, but I can't seem to be able to bring up the login page.

OK...what about a compiled list of suggestions, glitches, irritations, and other things that need to be addressed in HTML? This thread will do fine, but there are 31 pages of posts so far. How is anyone supposed to tell what has been mentioned already. I understand that the mods turn over a list of submissions compiled from this thread to the devs every week...great....how do we, the players, know what gets submitted to them...what's been posted about so far and what has not yet been posted? I only suggested a new thread to simplify a comprehensive compiled list...I'd even keep track of it and do the compiling. But this thread is fine as long as it could get some way of telling what been said already.

Hello moderator folk! Might it be time to shut this thread down since it is fairly dated? I'd love to see a new "HTML is awesome, but needs...." thread that is moderated, or at least have a compiled list of ideas, requests, glitches, omissions, etc on the first post that is updated once a week or so. This would make it so there wouldn't be as many redundant posts and potential posters could see if their beef is already on the list. It would be OK to do it with this thread, but it would be a daunting task and also much of the input here is outdated. Many things have already been fixed or improved in HTML, but a good concise list of problems that still need t be addressed might be a great tool for devs and a great help for players. Nothing like seeing the thing that you want fixed on an organized list that you are sure the devs will in fact see. I'd volunteer to compile the list from a new thread and keep it updated if you guys shut this thread down. I'd just start the new thread now, but someone would merge it into this oblivion thread, so I need your approval first.

So has G-Tanks gone the way of the pterodactyl, the Tasmanian Tiger, and Tanki-X? i tried to log on a week or so ago and thought it might just be a glitch. I tried again a few times an it's always the same deal...zip, blank login screen. The main welcome page is still up but there seems no way to log in anymore. Has it been shut down early in anticipation of Flashes demise? ...maybe just not enough interest? ...too much dev time consumed by a dead end game? Anyone have an idea about G-Tanks and it's fate? Tanki-X and G-Tanks together in video Flash heaven?

Please shut down Flash after a going away party in the middle of Oct and get to work on fixing all the brokeness of HTML. Make HTML have all the features of Flash, load as quickly as Flash, make everything as visible as in Flash...just like you said you were going to do. Early shut down should give you devs plenty of time to FIX HTML so everyone wlll be happy playing on it. Might there be a way to have an option for a super stripped down version of HTML so people with old weak PCs could still use HTML? .Disable color or clarity or some of the graphics like shot tracers, etc?
-
There is no chance they will disable the shop in Flash. LOL...The shop will be open for bu$ine$$ even after Flash is long gone...Tanki, a possibility of losing revenue? ahahaahaaaaaa...not in this reality ?

I'm pretty sure this is the new norm. 4X old XP and then double on events (translate: weekends) Everyone is subjected to the same rate, so it is fair, but I think the days of slower ranking are finished. With the new mission/star system, it looks like the big problem with quick ranking is kinda solved though. It seems that players should be able to generate enough internal game income to keep up with upgrades and equipment (if you stick to one combo). It kind of cheapens/degrades the Legend ranks since a new player can rank up to Legend 4X more quickly than before...If it took Mortimer de Shlimiel a year to get to Legend his kid brother can now do it in 3 months...even less if little brother plays hard during these double XP "events" (translate: weekends) Oh well, tempus fugit and nothing ever stays the same. Embrace the suck. ?

Please shut down Flash immediately...or have a send off party in the middle of this month and get rid of Flash completely (you've effectively killed it anyway). And then start working on the lack featured, super slow to load, inconvenient, hard to see, dull and insipid, highly inferior HTML so it will become what you promised...equal or better than Flash in all regards. HTML is WAY WAY FAR from that point. So get to it devs. Do what you promised. Kill off Flash early so you have more time for HTML...Flash is useless now anyway with your silly and poorly conceived abusive restrictions. You say Flash is done Dec 1, but you turn it into unusable trash before October. You didn't exactly lie, but you do what Tanki ALWAYS does and twist and spin the truth to suit your agenda. ...get to work spin doctors.

ahaha! OMG! How much Kool-aid does one need to drink for this kind of prattle to spew out?

I'm not crazy about them, but I have an alt acct with an XP turret skin and I must say I enjoy the look....it's pretty cool. I understand the draw...especially if you are spending lots of real money and a cool skin is only $XX. IMO this is how Tanki should be making money...selling things that don't actually impact game-play. Vanity items are a great way to generate revenue and not hurt anyone. And some people are gonna buy them for sure. This is one of the very few updates I give a thumbs up to...even though the previous way was more fun for me. You rank up to get a feeling of accomplishment as your hull changes looks...it was also easier to see who was a higher ranked player. But Tanki needs to pay the bills, and this is a pretty good way to approach puffing the bottom line.
-
I think they want all the tanks to look the same, then they can sell different looks/skins....an appeal to exclusivity. Before this update your tank's looks evolved over the ranks. Now it will look the same as it did when you created the account...unless you buy ultracontainers, or a skin itself, a bundle, or grind through Challenges after buying a pass. Basically all these involve BUYING to get a different skin. Gotta bleed 'em till, well, ...they bleed.

...again with double the quadrupled XP This is just soo00o bad. I'd blast through to Legend, but I don't have the crystals to upgrade enough to be even slightly competitive...I'm just kill fodder. Legend rank will be even worse I should guess since I don't have the equipment. This massive XP is such a drag. No Tanki over the weekend just watch more TV and movies I guess. (Binge watching 12 Monkeys now...causality ?

How can we players get the direct attention of the developers?
Joeguy replied to Joeguy in How can we players get the direct attention of the developers? Archive
Title says it. I often get the feeling if something gets posted in Ideas and Suggestions it gets buried in a frenzy by merge happy moderators never to see the light of day again...no forum discussion or exposure to the developers which is the more important part. I understand that the mods are doing their job and I also understand that most ideas are related to, if not exactly the same as many previous ideas...many ideas are just not workable, completely unfeasible, or just plain dumb. So the mods do their very best to sort and categorize all these "idea" topics and they merge, merge, merge to keep the main Ideas and Suggestions topic clean and clear of redundancy and general chaff. So is there any way to be sure that the devs get at least exposed to an idea? Some sort of mod/poster feedback...like a conformation notice from a mod that an idea has been presented to the devs? So as the title of this topic says: How can we players get the direct attention of the developers? Anyone have any ideas (mods feel free to jump in and suggest...not merge)? Thinking out of the box is acceptable. -
This Parity mode would still be in MM. There would be daily MM missions in Parity just like any other mode. It might dilute the MM pool by another mode which would be bad since it that would make rank brackets even worse as MM reaches further to fill battles. BUT, but...what if (dreamer, just a little dreamer) the new mode motivated players to play longer, or possibly even get some of the hundreds of thousands of players that quit Tanki because of toxic updates to come back to the game? They just might you know. What the game is now is a farce compared to what it once was. This Parity mode would be more like what it used to be. It might very welt attract many of the Ex-Tankists. These new old players would still have normal missions and still be participating in the current six MM modes. This would boost numbers instead of diluting the pool. Hey Tanki, these new old players might even start buying the new doo-dads offered in the shop to keep up with our new Neo-Tanki since they would still be completing missions in all modes and then all the free choice battles they wished...they might be converted into buyers if they knew that there would be an actual fun mode to play in on an ongoing basis. And these new old players would be significantly behind the curve since they haven't been maintaining their garage for a few months to a few years...they'd have lots of catch-up to buy! I would guess that, over a few months time, Tanki would pick up thousands of new old players. And with numbers like we have now a few thousand players (possibly buyers) would fill out the MM pool quite a bit. I don't see that it would be too hard to double player numbers in a few months since we just lost more than half the player pool in the last four months...those Covid drop-outs still want to play Tanki I bet...just not the trash Tanki we have today. Damn, I talked myself into it. If I were the honcho at Tanki, this Parity mode would be a priority and would get rolled out by next week ? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- It wouldn't be a "special" mode. Parity would be a normal everyday, all the time mode...not an event mode with pre-specified equipment like this merged topic says. Daily missions would be spread through seven modes instead of today's six modes. Parity would go along side TDM, CTF, CP, ASL,TJR, Siege, and now Team Parity There would be some dilution initially because of the added mode, But over the course of time, not much time I would guess, Tanki could double or even triple current numbers. Players quit because they didn't like the new updates and compromised Tanki. This new mode would be more like the Tanki of old so it might attract many of the players that quit because of the kiddie luck factor and loss of strategy. These new old players would boost MM pool because they would be participating in daily missions just like all of us. The daily missions would be spread through seven modes instead of the current six. Would Parity mode save Tanki? It certainly has a better chance of saving it than the road Tanki is following now since they are obviously not going to fix MM or the disproportionate rank brackets (balance). They haven't even tried to do anything with MM in the last three years, why would they start now? This new mode might attract new old players. If more players came back to the game MM would have a bigger pool and rank brackets would be a bit more balanced. And this new Parity mode might appeal to Tanki since all the new old players would be motivated to "freshen" their garages and that would have to turn into some new buyers. I do not believe the core of ultra-power players can sustain Tanki, but a new Parity mode might attract more players which would give Tanki longer life. Even one good mode that was reminiscent of the old iteration of Tanki would keep me happy and I bet it would engage thousands of other players. It would even make Tanki some extra cash.

Your idea is interesting but it has ABSOLUTLY NOTHING to do with my idea of a Parity mode. I have no idea why this was merged.

This should not have been merged or moved. This idea has NOTHING to do with "pre-specified equipment"

Perhaps it's Tanki devs famous inability to code properly or maybe they have cut way way back on servers, but these are EXACTLY the same issues that happened last event and now this one yesterday and today. Since it is completely predictable, one would think there would be a way to fix it....but then it is Tanki, so the lag and other issues just keep on keepin' on. These issues all start at about 7000 players logged on. By 7500 the lag and mission problems start. By 8000 the problems are in full swing and by 10,000 it is hard to even log in, Flash is inoperable, missions are difficult or impossible to change or claim, containers disappear, and the Free crystal and Refresh function is not functional. When the player count drops below 7000 later tonight (about 19:00 or 20:00 UTC) these glitches will stop and the game will run smoothly again. To me this says Tanki is cheaping-out in terms of servers...maybe it's just bad code...who knows. But they DO NOTHING because each event will be over in a day or two and the problem will no longer be there...until the next event. Tank devs are lazy and just don't care. They know that we player fools will just keep playing and putting up with Tanki's lazy incompetence...why try, aye Tanki? ...too much bother to try to get it right, right? Quick update: Right on time, as soon as the player count dropped below 8000, the problems started to subside. By 7000 players online almost all the problems were gone and by 20:00 UTC Tanki was back to running smoothly with 6500 players online. Did Tanki fix anything...nope. They just didn't bother because they knew this event was soon to be finished. This bogus concern and "we are aware of the problems and doing out best to correct" banner is just to shut us up...they have no intention of fixing anything since the problem lies in lack of server power which translates to Tanki is too cheap or dim witted to put on extra servers to handle the larger event traffic.
-
10500 online now and i can't even log in with this event mode going. Everything works fine if there are less than 7000 players logged in, but as number of players go up the more problems and glitches start happening. It is exactly the same yesterday and the previous event. More than 10K players and I can't even log in...it just keeps loading...

Yes....yes i would if my idea was implemented in only one mode....not normal Matchmaking TDM,CP, ASL,RGB, TJG, Seige, but one entirely different mode probably like TDM but TDM with parity. Players would still play most battles and complete missions as they do now...they'd have all their unique garage with exactly what they bought and upgraded to, but there would be one mode where EVERYONE got Mk8 equipment (or Mk1). The only choice a player could make in this Parity mode would be which hull and turret. A Legend9000 would have the exact same equipment choice as a Rank11 player (some time should elapse before the Parity mode unlocks...might be a good way to get players ranking up faster...make it unlock at Rank20 maybe). The Legend could still use all their accumulated doo-dads and MUs in all other modes just like they do today, but the one extra new mode (Parity) they could not. In just this one mode Rank11 and Legend9000 would have exactly the same choice of equipment. All other six modes would be exactly the same as they are today...Parity would be an additional seventh mode to the already normal six modes.
